You can set separate price alerts for Meta (META), Tesla (TSLA), and Netflix (NFLX) in Yahoo Finance. Search for each ticker, open its quote, select the Alerts control, enter your target price, and save. For earnings, follow all three companies, then enable earnings-result and upcoming-earnings notifications. If you need an exact reminder time, Yahoo Finance also supports scheduled earnings reminders. Price alerts and earnings notifications are separate settings, and mobile delivery requires permission both in the app and in your phone’s operating system.
What you are setting up
There are two different alert jobs:

Yahoo’s iOS documentation says, “When your target is met, a push notification will be sent to your device.” That is a notification, not an order or a guarantee that you can trade at the target price.
Use the correct ticker for each company

Create a separate alert for each symbol and each target level you care about. A META alert does not monitor TSLA or NFLX, and an alert at one level does not automatically create another alert at a second level.

- Install and sign in to the Yahoo Finance mobile app.
- Allow the app to send notifications when your phone asks. If you deny the prompt, the app can still contain the alert while the operating system blocks its delivery.
- Decide whether you need a single threshold or several levels for each ticker. Use separate alerts for separate levels.
- Add or follow META, TSLA, and NFLX before configuring earnings notifications. Following the quote is distinct from merely searching for it.
- Keep in mind that app labels and account features can change. Use the current screen shown by your app rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Set a price alert on iPhone or iPad
The iOS workflow is the same for META, TSLA, and NFLX. Yahoo documents the quote-level process in its iOS price-alert instructions.

- Open Yahoo Finance and use search to find META, TSLA, or NFLX.
- Open the matching quote page. Confirm that the company name and ticker are the ones you intend to monitor.
- Tap the Alerts icon or control on the quote.
- Enter the target price at which you want to be notified.
- Create or save the alert.
Repeat these steps for the other two companies. When a target is reached, Yahoo says it sends a push notification to the device. The alert remains a notification rule; it does not buy or sell shares.
Edit or remove an iPhone or iPad alert
- Return to the same quote page.
- Open the Alerts control again.
- Select the existing alert to change its target, or use the available delete option to remove it.
If you want two target levels for one company, keep the existing alert and create another one rather than overwriting the first.
Set a price alert on Android
Yahoo’s Android instructions use the quote’s Summary tab. The documented sequence is in the Android price-alert help page.

- Search for META, TSLA, or NFLX and open the correct quote.
- Open the quote’s Summary tab.
- Tap the Alerts icon.
- Choose Create new price alert.
- Enter your target price and tap Done.
Review Android alerts
Use View price alerts from the alert controls to review the rules you have already created. Check each symbol and target before leaving the screen, especially if you created several alerts in one session.
Turn on earnings notifications for Meta, Tesla and Netflix
Earnings notifications are not automatically created by a price alert. Follow each company first, then enable the earnings categories in Yahoo Finance notification settings.
- Add or follow META, TSLA, and NFLX in your watchlist or followed-companies list.
- Open Yahoo Finance’s notification settings. The web settings page is Yahoo Finance Notifications.
- Turn on notifications for earnings results so you can be notified when a result is reported.
- Turn on upcoming-week earnings notifications if you want advance notice of companies expected to report during the coming week.
- Save or confirm the settings, then verify that your phone’s operating system still permits Yahoo Finance notifications.
These categories serve different purposes: an upcoming-earnings notice helps you prepare, while an earnings-result notice is tied to the publication of the result. Enabling one does not necessarily enable the other.

Schedule a precise earnings reminder
When a broad upcoming-earnings notification is not precise enough, Yahoo Finance documents reminders that can be scheduled for a selected day, hour, and minute. This is useful when you want a calendar-like prompt before an event rather than relying only on a general notification window.

- Make sure the relevant company is followed.
- Open the earnings notification or reminder controls for that company.
- Select the earnings event you want to remember.
- Choose the day, hour, and minute for the reminder.
- Confirm the reminder and leave device notifications enabled.
Feature availability, alert limits, frequency choices, and premium capabilities can vary by account. Yahoo’s current plan comparison is available at Yahoo Finance plans and features; check it for the terms that apply to your account before depending on a reminder workflow.
Why a notification may not arrive
Work through these checks in order. They separate an alert-rule problem from a phone-permission problem.

1. Confirm the rule exists
- On iOS, reopen the quote’s Alerts control and verify the target.
- On Android, use View price alerts and confirm the symbol and target.
- For earnings, verify that META, TSLA, and NFLX are actually followed, not just recently searched.
2. Check Yahoo Finance notification settings
On Android, Yahoo places these controls under Account > Notifications > Manage, as described in its Android notification-preferences help. Make sure price and earnings categories you need are enabled. iOS users should likewise review the app’s account notification controls.
3. Check the operating system permission
- Open your phone’s system settings and locate Yahoo Finance in the app list.
- Enable permission to send notifications.
- Check whether a Focus, Do Not Disturb, bedtime, battery-saver, or background-activity rule is suppressing delivery.
- If you recently reinstalled the app or changed phones, grant notification permission again.
4. Check the event you expect
A price alert waits for its target condition; an earnings-result alert waits for the company’s result to be published. An upcoming-week notification is an advance notice, not a promise that the result itself has been released. If you selected a scheduled reminder, verify its date and time rather than assuming it follows the event automatically.
5. Recheck after changing settings
After changing an in-app or system permission, close and reopen Yahoo Finance, then review the alert list again. If the rule is present and both permission layers are enabled, the remaining variable may be the account’s current alert behavior or plan limits, which can change over time.

When Yahoo Finance is enough—and when to use TradingView
Yahoo Finance is the simpler choice when you need a short quote-to-alert workflow on a phone and straightforward earnings notices. Its documented iOS and Android paths use the same basic sequence: find the quote, open Alerts, enter a target, and save.
TradingView is better suited to rules that go beyond one price level. Its alert documentation covers price, technical, watchlist, and multi-condition alerts; see the TradingView alerts support folder for the current options. A technical or multi-condition rule can be useful when a single META, TSLA, or NFLX price threshold does not express the condition you are watching.

Choose the platform based on the condition you need, not on the ticker. META, TSLA, and NFLX can be monitored on either platform, but the available alert types and limits may differ by plan and can change.

A practical setup for all three tickers
For a basic phone setup, complete the work in two passes so that price and earnings rules do not get mixed together.
Pass one: price levels
- Open META, create the first target-price alert, and review it.
- Repeat for TSLA.
- Repeat for NFLX.
- If you monitor more than one level for a ticker, create an additional alert for each level and verify the list before closing the app.
Pass two: earnings
- Follow all three companies.
- Enable earnings results.
- Enable upcoming-week earnings notices if advance notice is useful.
- Add a scheduled reminder for any event that needs a precise day, hour, and minute.
- Check both the app’s notification settings and the phone’s system permission.
This separation makes troubleshooting easier: if a price message is missing, inspect the quote alert; if an earnings message is missing, inspect followed companies and earnings categories.
Maintain your alerts as your strategy changes
- Review the alert list after changing a target so an obsolete level is not left active.
- Delete alerts you no longer need; a crowded list makes it harder to identify the correct rule.
- Revisit earnings reminders after an event has passed and remove one-time reminders that should not remain.
- Recheck notification permissions after an operating-system update, app reinstall, phone migration, or major battery-setting change.
- Before publishing or following a screenshot-based tutorial, compare its labels with the live app. Interface wording and plan limits can change.
Key limitations to keep in mind
- A price alert is tied to one ticker and target; it is not a portfolio-wide trigger.
- An earnings notification is separate from a price alert and requires the company to be followed.
- A push notification depends on two permission layers: Yahoo Finance’s settings and the phone’s operating-system permission.
- TradingView’s technical and multi-condition capabilities are useful for advanced rules, but plan limits and frequencies should be checked before relying on them.
- Neither alert type replaces your own review of the quote, the company’s filing, or the market conditions at the time you receive the message.
