Scroll the listing until the product and its price have loaded, then capture the visible product card or a finite section of the page. A full-page screenshot can show the content available to the capture, but it cannot include items an infinite feed has not loaded. Check the saved image and keep the page URL and capture time with it.
Why infinite scroll changes the screenshot workflow
On an infinite-scroll listing, more products appear as you scroll. The screenshot tool can capture only content available to it at capture time; choosing “full page” does not make the site load every possible item. Some pages may also remove earlier items from the document as new ones appear. Decide what you need to record—usually the target product and its price—and make sure that content is loaded before capturing it.
Capture a product price manually
- Open the listing page and note its URL.
- Scroll the page, or the listing’s own inner scroll panel, until the target product card appears.
- Wait for the price text and any relevant product image to finish loading. If the listing loads more items only after scrolling, continue until the target is present.
- Capture the visible product card or a finite section that includes it. If you need surrounding context, capture the loaded page, understanding that this does not include content that has not loaded.
- Open the saved screenshot and verify that the product and price are readable. Record the page URL and capture time alongside the image.
Choose the right capture size

Use Playwright for a repeatable capture
Playwright supports full-page screenshots and screenshots of an individual locator. Its full-page option captures the available scrollable page; it does not replace scrolling far enough to trigger an infinite list’s loading behavior. See the Playwright Screenshots documentation.
After navigating to the listing, scroll until the target card is present, then capture that card:

Capture beyond the viewport with Chrome DevTools
Chrome DevTools Device Mode includes a full-size screenshot option for page content outside the viewport. Open DevTools, enable Device Mode, then select More options and Capture a full size screenshot. First scroll the listing until the target price has loaded. Troubleshooting
- The target product is missing: Scroll farther, including inside the listing panel if it has its own scrollbar, and wait for the item to load before recapturing.
- The screenshot shows a card but not its price: Wait for the price element or text to appear, then capture. In automation, target the price element with a visibility wait.
- The full-page image is too tall to read: Capture the target element or a finite section around it instead.
- Earlier items disappear as you scroll: Do not assume a final full-page capture contains all previously seen cards. Capture the target when it is loaded, or save separate finite sections as needed.
- The saved image is ambiguous: Inspect it and retain the listing URL and capture time as separate context.
Keep the screenshot in context
A screenshot is a contemporaneous visual record of what appeared in the captured page; the workflow described here does not independently authenticate it or establish that it is legally sufficient evidence of a price. If the price may be disputed, retain the URL and capture time with the image and avoid presenting the screenshot as authenticated proof.
