Choose between a full webpage and what is on screen

The macOS shortcuts capture visible screen content; they do not reveal the off-screen part of a long webpage. For full-page capture, use DevTools. The shortcuts and their scope are described in iTechGuides’ macOS screenshot guide.
Capture a full webpage in Chrome
- Open the website in Chrome and wait for the content you want to capture to load.
- Press Command+Option+I to open the last-used DevTools panel on Mac. This shortcut is listed in Chrome’s DevTools keyboard shortcut reference.
- Press Command+Shift+P to open the DevTools Command Menu. This Mac shortcut is described in a Chrome Help Community reply dated March 6, 2025.
- Type capture full size screenshot in the menu search field and choose the matching command.
- Check Chrome’s download flow for the resulting image. A third-party guide describes the file as appearing through that flow, but exact save behavior can depend on your Chrome settings; check the installed browser if the location matters.
The full-size command is documented here through community guidance, not the official shortcut-reference page. The available sources do not establish a required Chrome version or guarantee how every page renders during capture.
Capture only the visible screen, a region or the Chrome window
- Entire display: press Shift+Command+3.
- Selected area: press Shift+Command+4, then drag to select the region.
- Chrome window: press Shift+Command+4, press Space, then click the window.
- Screenshot controls: press Shift+Command+5 to open macOS Screenshot controls. Confirm available controls on your macOS version.
These are macOS screen captures, not full-document webpage captures. For more DevTools shortcuts, Chrome also lists Command+Shift+C or Command+Option+C for opening the Elements panel in its shortcut reference.

India, MacBook Pro and page-specific caveats
The steps above are for Chrome on macOS and use the same platform shortcut sequence in India. The available sources do not verify every local keyboard remapping, Chrome version or Mac configuration, so if a shortcut does not work, open DevTools from Chrome’s menus and check your keyboard settings.
Full-page capture may need checking on sites with dynamic content, lazy-loaded images or content inside an independently scrolling panel. The sources do not guarantee how those cases are captured. Inspect the saved image, and if material is missing, allow the page to load or scroll through the relevant content before trying again. For a long page, compare the top, middle and bottom of the result rather than assuming the entire document rendered correctly.

Troubleshooting
- Command+Option+I does not open DevTools: Chrome’s documented shortcut opens the last-used DevTools panel. Open DevTools from Chrome’s menus, then try the shortcut again; confirm that your keyboard is sending the expected Mac keys.
- The Command Menu does not appear: focus the DevTools panel and press Command+Shift+P. The full-size procedure comes from a community answer, so command availability may vary.
- The command search returns no match: check that DevTools is open and search for the full phrase capture full size screenshot. If it remains unavailable, use a visible-screen shortcut for the portion you need; that will not capture below the fold.
- The saved image seems incomplete: wait for the page to finish loading and inspect it for missing dynamic or lazy-loaded content. Capture behavior for those page types is not guaranteed by the cited instructions.
- You cannot find the file: check Chrome’s downloads and the download location configured in the browser. The exact save behavior should be verified in your installed Chrome version.

Does the full-page screenshot include everything in a page?
It is intended to capture the full document, but the available instructions do not guarantee correct rendering of dynamic content, lazy-loaded media or inner-scroll areas. Check the resulting image when completeness matters.
Do I need a special India setting?
No India-specific setting is established by the available sources. These are macOS instructions, though local keyboard remapping or a particular configuration could affect shortcut behavior.
