On Android 12 and later, take a screenshot and tap the scrolling-capture or capture-more control if it appears. To include lazy-loaded images farther down the page, scroll through the page in sections and pause until each group of images is visibly loaded before extending the capture. Android supports scrolling screenshots on most screens that allow scrolling, not every browser or webpage; Pixel guidance includes some steps for Android 11 and later. Google’s Android screenshot instructions explain the built-in workflow.
Take a scrolling screenshot on Android
- Open the webpage and wait for its initial content to settle.
- Take a regular screenshot using your device’s screenshot controls. The button combination can vary by device.
- If the screenshot preview offers a scrolling or capture-more control, tap it. Extend the capture through the portion of the page you need; labels and availability vary by device.
- For images that load as you scroll, move down in manageable increments and pause each time a new group appears. Wait until the images are visibly loaded before continuing.
- Inspect the result for blank areas, repeated sticky bars, or abrupt cutoffs. If a section is missing, return to it after its images load and extend or recapture that part.
Google says scrolling capture works on most screens that allow scrolling, and its Android instructions apply to Android 12 and later. Pixel guidance includes some steps for Android 11 and up. Neither statement guarantees the feature on every device, browser, app, or page. Check Google’s current instructions for the device-specific steps.
Why lazy-loaded images are missing
Lazy loading postpones some image requests until the images are near the visible part of the page. A page can appear to have loaded while images farther down are still waiting for you to scroll. The browser’s window load event is not proof that every lazy-loaded image has finished loading, including images near the visible viewport. MDN’s image reference describes this behavior.
Images can also change the page layout when they appear. MDN recommends specifying image dimensions so the browser can reserve space and reduce layout shifts. On a page where that space was not reserved, content may move after an image loads, so check the captured section after pausing and recapture it if its placement changed.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

What to do when capture-more is unavailable or stops early
Use overlapping screenshots
Capture successive sections manually, leaving enough of each previous section visible to align the images later. This takes more work and may require stitching, but it gives you a fallback when Android cannot continue the native capture. Review the joined result for gaps or duplicated content.
Consider a webpage capture app
The Google Play listing for Web2Pics advertises full-page and scrolling webpage capture. That is a listing claim, not a guarantee that it will capture lazy-loaded images correctly on every site. Check whether the app works with your browser and page, what permissions it requests, and whether it handles content that appears only after scrolling.

Use a desktop extension only if a phone is not required
The GoFullPage Chrome Web Store listing says the extension captures page sections and produces a full-page result. It is a desktop browser option, not a direct Android-phone workflow. As with a phone app, test the specific page rather than assuming its images or nested scroll areas will be handled.
When comparing alternatives, check Android compatibility, whether scrolling triggers deferred content, handling of inner scroll areas, export formats, and privacy permissions. Official Android guidance does not provide a per-browser compatibility matrix, and third-party listings do not establish that a tool works with every site.

For a capture from a developer workflow, ScreenshotNeo takes a webpage screenshot through one API request. Example using cURL:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webpSee the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card.
