Goibibo’s published User Agreement restricts use of site content, prohibits attempts to interrupt website operation, and requires travel agents to obtain prior registration and explicit permission for commercial or resale use. The reviewed official pages do not confirm a public API that permits automated retrieval and reuse. For a production dataset, first obtain current written authorization or use an officially documented partner feed; only then design your collector around the exact itinerary, fare, tax, and room conditions you need to compare.
Start with authorization, not code
Before sending automated requests, identify who owns the data, why you need it, and whether your proposed use is expressly allowed. Goibibo’s User Agreement says content supplied through its sales channels is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may be used for another purpose only as specified in the agreement. It also states: “The User agrees not to interrupt or attempt to interrupt the operation of the Website in any manner whatsoever.”
The same agreement says travel agents need prior registration and explicit permission for commercial or resale use. That is a published contractual term, not a universal legal conclusion about every individual automated access. Laws and contractual rights vary by jurisdiction and by your relationship with Goibibo or MakeMyTrip. Ask for written permission that covers automated collection, storage, redistribution, frequency, markets, and retention before building a service or reselling results.
- Personal research: verify that your activity is allowed by the current terms and does not disrupt the site.
- Internal business monitoring: obtain written approval if collection is recurring, automated, or used in pricing or operations.
- Commercial, agent, or resale use: treat prior registration and explicit permission as requirements unless Goibibo confirms otherwise in writing.
Do not assume that a page being publicly visible means its content is licensed for bulk copying, resale, or training a product.

What Goibibo’s published terms say about prices
Goibibo describes itself as a facilitator for flight bookings. Airline rules, ticket conditions, hotel policies, and availability can affect the final offer. Its Terms of Services say a payment-page total usually includes the base fare, applicable government taxes, and a convenience fee. The Domestic Flight Booking Terms and Conditions say the displayed total includes applicable government taxes.
“Price” is therefore not a single comparable number. A useful record preserves the context that produced it:

Is there an official Goibibo scraping API?
The reviewed official pages do not establish a public or partner API that permits automated retrieval and commercial reuse. Do not describe an undocumented endpoint as an approved integration. Contact Goibibo or MakeMyTrip and ask for current developer or partner documentation, authentication rules, rate limits, permitted fields, attribution, and redistribution rights. A third-party page from ScrapeGuys advertises a “Goibibo Hotels API — Room Rates via the Android App” at https://scrapeguys.com/docs/goibibo. That page establishes only that the vendor advertises a service. It does not establish Goibibo authorization, the vendor’s rights to reuse data, coverage, reliability, freshness, or legal suitability. Require the vendor to provide verifiable permission and a contract covering those points before relying on it.
Choose a collection route
1. Authorized partner feed or API
This is the preferred route when available. Confirm that the feed covers the flights, hotels, countries, currencies, and fields you need. Agree on freshness guarantees, error semantics, usage limits, and whether you may store or display results. Build your adapter against documented schemas rather than reverse-engineering website calls.
2. Human-assisted, permitted capture
For a small internal sample, a person can perform the search under an account and export information that the permission explicitly allows. Record the same itinerary, traveler assumptions, conditions, and timestamp for every observation. This is slower but avoids pretending that an unapproved crawler is an API.
3. Automated browser collection with written permission
If Goibibo authorizes browser automation, implement conservative jobs: low concurrency, an explicit schedule, backoff after errors, a clear user agent and contact address, and an immediate stop switch. Do not bypass CAPTCHAs, bot checks, authentication controls, paywalls, or technical barriers. Do not rotate identities to evade limits. Ask the site owner how to handle consent, login, and regional pages.

4. Third-party data service
Evaluate the provider on authorization and data rights first, then on coverage, freshness, consistency, maintenance, security, and support. A successful response is not evidence that collection is permitted. Put contractual representations, deletion procedures, incident notification, and permitted use in writing.
Design a defensible price dataset
Define the comparison key
For flights, use a key such as origin, destination, departure and return dates, passenger mix, cabin, airline constraints, currency, and search timestamp. For hotels, include property identifier, check-in and check-out dates, guests, rooms, meal plan, cancellation policy, and currency. Never compare a refundable room with a non-refundable room as though they were the same product.
Normalize without hiding differences
Keep raw displayed text alongside parsed numeric fields. Store currency code, decimal precision, taxes and fees as separate fields when shown, and retain the original offer conditions. If a component is not displayed, record “not stated” rather than inferring it. Preserve the source URL and an authorized evidence artifact.

Set a circuit breaker that halts jobs after repeated errors, consent changes, bot checks, or unexpected page structure.

Run a reconciliation check before publishing a price change: same itinerary, same traveler assumptions, same currency, and same fare or room conditions. If any of those differ, report a new offer rather than a price movement. Keep an audit log of authorization, code version, job time, and deletion actions.
