Check permission before you write a crawler. Caseking’s rules differ by storefront: the located Caseking USA terms prohibit using the site or its content to “spider, crawl, or scrape,” while Caseking.de’s private-consumer terms limit shop-content use to private, non-commercial purposes. Neither document should be treated as a global Caseking policy. Identify the exact domain, read its current terms, check its live robots.txt, and obtain written permission or an authorized feed before collecting product data.
Start with the exact Caseking domain
“Caseking” is not one policy document. Your first decision is whether the target is casekingusa.com, caseking.de, or another country storefront. Terms, privacy notices and technical directives may differ by domain and can change.
| Target | Located wording | What it means for a project |
|---|---|---|
| Caseking USA | The Terms of Service prohibit use to “spider, crawl, or scrape.” They also prohibit interfering with or circumventing security features and reserve the right to terminate use for prohibited activity. | Do not run an automated collector unless the operator gives you explicit authorization that covers your intended data and rate. Never bypass bot checks, authentication, rate limits or other controls. |
| Caseking.de | The German private-consumer terms say shop content may be used only for private, non-commercial purposes. They also describe product presentations and offers as generally changeable and non-binding. | A private, non-commercial use restriction is not a blanket permission for automation, nor does it answer whether a particular crawler is allowed. Ask Caseking for written authorization for any automated or commercial use. |
| Other Caseking domains | Not established by the documents used here. | Read the terms and privacy notice for that domain instead of importing a rule from the USA or Germany. |
Confirm the current text immediately before collection. The US terms state that updates can be made by posting revised terms, and the German consumer terms were last modified 24 June 2026 in the located document.
Get an authorized path before collecting anything
Ask for written permission
Describe the domain, URL patterns, fields, frequency, storage period, commercial purpose and contact address for your crawler. Ask whether the permission covers prices, stock, images, specifications, reviews and redistribution. Keep the reply with your project records. If the owner gives a rate or user-agent requirement, treat it as a hard limit.

Prefer a documented feed or API
Request an official product feed, partner export or API if your use needs recurring structured data. No public Caseking API or feed was established in the materials available for this guide, so do not imply that one exists. An authorized interface is preferable to parsing changing HTML.
Stop when authorization ends
Build a kill switch and an allowlist of approved paths. Stop on a written objection, an access-denied response, a security challenge, or any indication that your approved scope has been exceeded. Do not rotate identities, evade a block, defeat a CAPTCHA or probe restricted endpoints.
Check robots.txt, but do not mistake it for permission
Google Search Central documents robots.txt as a way to manage crawler traffic. The file belongs at the site’s top-level directory; Google also says it is not a mechanism for hiding a page from search results. A robots directive is an operational instruction, not a licence and not a substitute for terms or a contract.
The current Caseking.de and Caseking USA robots.txt contents were not retrievable for this article. Therefore, do not copy a guessed Disallow, crawl delay or sitemap into production. Fetch the live file for the exact host, record the retrieval time, and ask the site owner how it should be interpreted for your authorized job. If the file conflicts with your written authorization, pause and resolve the conflict with the owner.

Collect only necessary public fields
For an authorized product catalogue, a minimal record might contain the canonical URL, product identifier, displayed name, currency, price, availability label and selected specifications. Avoid account pages, checkout data, hidden form values and review content unless permission specifically covers them.
Minimize personal data
Caseking.de’s privacy notice describes access data such as visited pages, session identifiers, IP address, browser, device and operating system. It also says product ratings may be published with a reviewer’s first name and last-name initial, without the reviewer’s email address. Do not collect or republish those fields for a product dataset. Exclude reviews by default and filter accidental personal data before storage.
Preserve provenance and freshness
Store the source URL, collection timestamp, product identifier and the exact displayed price and availability text. Keep a hash or raw response only when your authorization permits it. Mark every export with its retrieval time: the German terms describe offers and product presentations as changeable and non-binding, so a captured price or stock label is historical evidence, not a guarantee.
Use an approved rate
Set concurrency, delay and retry limits to the values the site owner approved. If no rate was approved, do not guess that a “polite” delay is acceptable; ask first. Cache pages within the permitted freshness window, request only the fields you need, and use conditional requests if the owner’s instructions support them.

A conditional Python example
The following example is a template for a site owner-approved URL list. It intentionally contains no evasion, login handling or CAPTCHA bypass. Replace the selectors only after inspecting the authorized page and confirming that your permission covers the fields.
from datetime import datetime, timezone
import csv
import time
import requests
from bs4 import BeautifulSoup
URLS = [
"https://example-authorized-host/product/example",
]
HEADERS = {"User-Agent": "AuthorizedCatalogBot/1.0 (contact: you@example.com)"}
DELAY_SECONDS = 3
rows = []
for url in URLS:
response = requests.get(url, headers=HEADERS, timeout=30)
response.raise_for_status()
soup = BeautifulSoup(response.text, "html.parser")
def text(selector):
node = soup.select_one(selector)
return node.get_text(" ", strip=True) if node else ""
rows.append({
"url": url,
"collected_at_utc": datetime.now(timezone.utc).isoformat(),
"name": text("h1"),
"price_displayed": text("[itemprop='price']"),
"availability_displayed": text("[itemprop='availability']"),
})
time.sleep(DELAY_SECONDS)
with open("products.csv", "w", newline="", encoding="utf-8") as f:
writer = csv.DictWriter(f, fieldnames=rows[0].keys())
writer.writeheader()
writer.writerows(rows)
Use a real Caseking URL only after authorization. Check that selectors return the intended visible values; an empty selector should be logged for review rather than silently converted into a zero price or “in stock.” For a large approved job, add bounded retries for transient server errors, persistent logging, deduplication by product ID and a manual review queue.
Validate results without over-collecting
- Scope test: run against one approved product URL and compare each field with the page by hand.
- Permission test: confirm that the request rate, user agent, fields and storage destination match the written authorization.
- Data test: reject records missing a canonical URL or product identifier; retain the displayed currency and timestamp.
- Privacy test: scan output for names, emails, session IDs, IP addresses and review text, then remove anything outside scope.
- Freshness test: label exports with their collection time and never present old prices or stock as current.
- Stop test: verify that a 401, 403, security challenge or owner message halts the job and alerts an operator.
Common failure modes and fixes
“I found a Disallow rule, so I can ignore the terms”
Cause: treating robots.txt as authorization. Fix: follow the applicable terms and obtain permission or an authorized interface. Robots.txt only communicates crawler-management preferences.
“The USA rule applies to every Caseking site”
Cause: transferring one domain’s terms to another. Fix: identify the host and read its current documents. The located German terms use different wording and do not establish a rule for other storefronts.
“My parser returns blank prices”
Cause: a changed selector, client-side rendering or a consent layer. Fix: stop and check whether your authorization permits the required rendering method; update selectors against a saved, approved sample. Do not defeat a consent or security control.
“Requests receive 403 or a bot check”
Cause: the site is denying automated access or has detected traffic it does not accept. Fix: stop, notify the owner and request an approved method. Never rotate proxies, spoof identities or bypass the challenge.
“A product disappeared between runs”
Cause: catalogue and offers change. Fix: retain the URL, timestamp and last observed values, and mark the item unavailable or unresolved rather than inventing a current status.
“The export contains reviewer names”
Cause: broad selectors captured ratings or metadata. Fix: exclude reviews and personal-data fields, scrub existing records, and document the deletion.

For an authorized visual capture of a product page, ScreenshotNeo provides a website screenshot API and MCP server. It accepts the cookie or consent banner like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets before capture; each step can be disabled. Only clean shots are billed: bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits cost nothing, and the response identifies the result with X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers.
One GET request returns PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF. The API supports full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS-selector element capture, device and viewport settings, dark mode, retina scale, custom CSS and JavaScript, clicks, waits, request blocking, headers, cookies, user agents, Authorization, timezone, geolocation, transparent backgrounds, resizing, caching, signed links, asynchronous jobs, bulk capture of up to 100 URLs per call, usage reporting and an OpenAPI specification. Use it only for pages you are authorized to capture; a screenshot does not grant permission to reuse product data.
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for parameters and response handling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does robots.txt tell me whether Caseking permits scraping?
No. It communicates crawler-management instructions. You still need the terms for the exact domain and, for automated collection, permission or an authorized interface.
Can I use scraped Caseking prices as a live price feed?
Not without an appropriate authorization and freshness controls. Product presentations and offers can change, so label values with their retrieval timestamp.
Should I include Caseking customer reviews in a product dataset?
Not by default. Reviews can contain published reviewer names or other personal data; collect them only when your written scope explicitly covers them and your privacy process permits it.
The Bottom Line
There is no responsible one-size-fits-all Caseking scraper. Identify the storefront, read its current terms, verify robots.txt live, obtain written authorization or an approved feed, collect the minimum necessary data, and stop rather than bypassing a control.
