To show different prerecorded loops at different times on one YouTube channel, schedule a separate YouTube Live event for each broadcast, then send the intended video to that event from an encoder. YouTube Studio schedules the events; the encoder supplies the video feed. The documented Studio workflow does not provide automatic rotation among prerecorded loops.
How the workflow fits together
Each scheduled event has its own title, description, privacy setting, and start time. When it is time to broadcast, an encoder sends the selected loop to YouTube using the stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room. You check the incoming feed in the preview, then start the event.
This is different from setting up one continuous broadcast and expecting YouTube Studio to switch among videos on a timetable. YouTube’s documented scheduling and encoder instructions cover individual events and incoming feeds, not a built-in recurring playlist that changes loops automatically.
Schedule an event for each loop
- Open scheduling in Studio. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live, open Manage, then select Schedule Stream.
- Create or reuse settings. Select Create new for a fresh event, or Reuse settings to copy metadata, settings, and the stream key from a prior event. You can edit the new event after creating it.
- Set the event details. Enter a title and description, choose privacy, and set the scheduled time. Check these details even when reusing settings so the new event describes the right loop and broadcast.
- Save and share the event page as appropriate. Scheduling can make an event visible as upcoming, and viewers may be able to open its page and select Notify me.
Repeat those steps for each distinct loop and time slot. Keep a simple schedule of event title, intended video, and start time so the encoder source matches the correct event.

Connect the intended loop and go live
- Select the video in your encoder. Choose the prerecorded loop you intend for this event as the encoder’s video source. This source selection happens outside YouTube Studio; the Studio scheduling flow does not describe selecting or rotating a local-video playlist.
- Get the event’s connection details. In Live Control Room, find the stream URL and stream key, then enter them in the encoder. The key allows YouTube to accept the encoder’s feed, so treat it like a credential. A custom stream key can be reused.
- Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Wait for the feed to appear in Live Control Room. Confirm that the preview shows the intended loop and that its audio is correct before starting the event. YouTube recommends testing the setup and monitoring audio and video quality.
- Start the event. When the preview is ready and the event details are correct, select Go live in Live Control Room.
- End both sides of the broadcast. At the end, select End Stream in YouTube and stop sending from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived.
Choose between new settings and reused settings

Reusing settings saves setup work, but it does not choose the right video in your encoder. YouTube’s auto-start and auto-stop controls affect whether streaming can be started or stopped from the encoder; they do not schedule a change from one prerecorded loop to another.
Separate events, continuous broadcasts, and automatic rotation
Use separate scheduled events for distinct broadcast times
Separate events give each broadcast its own schedule and event details. This is the documented YouTube Studio workflow when you want different loops presented as different scheduled broadcasts.

Treat a continuous broadcast as a different operating model
A continuous broadcast is not the same as scheduling several independent events. The reviewed YouTube instructions do not explain how to turn a series of scheduled events into one continuous stream that automatically changes video sources.
Verify any automation separately
If you need unattended, recurring rotation among many videos, you may need scheduling or automation beyond the documented Studio flow. The YouTube instructions cited here do not establish that a particular third-party tool supports that use, so verify its current capabilities before relying on it.

Protect the stream key
A stream key is a credential: do not publish it or include it in a public screenshot. If it is compromised, YouTube provides a reset process; only a channel owner or manager can reset the key. If you reused settings, remember that the copied event includes the stream key.
