Schedule one YouTube Live event for each day you plan to guide meditation: in YouTube Studio, open Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule Stream, enter the session details and time, then save and share the event page. Scheduling creates an upcoming event; it does not start or send the live video. At session time, connect your encoder, check the preview in Live Control Room, and select Go live.
Before scheduling: check that your channel can go live
YouTube’s stated eligibility requirements are that your channel is verified, has had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and that you are at least 16 years old. Check access before promoting a session, since channel eligibility affects whether you can use the feature. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements.
Schedule a daily meditation session in YouTube Studio
YouTube’s Studio instructions document scheduling an individual stream and reusing settings from a previous one, not a daily-repeat switch. For a normal Studio workflow, create a separate scheduled event for each day. Reuse settings to reduce setup, but check all copied details before saving.
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, choose Create → Go Live.
- Start a scheduled event. Open Manage → Schedule Stream, then choose to create a new stream or reuse settings from an earlier event.
- Enter the session details. Add a clear title and description, set the scheduled date and start time, and choose the event’s visibility. If reusing settings, review the title, description, visibility, stream key, and any other details that should differ for this session.
- Save and share. Save the event, then share its watch-page URL in the places your audience uses. YouTube says scheduling lets you promote a stream; viewers can opt into a reminder, and an upcoming stream may appear in subscribers’ feeds. Neither a reminder nor a particular amount of reach is guaranteed. See YouTube’s instructions for scheduling a stream.
Choose a consistent start time that suits your audience and include the time zone whenever you promote it. If you follow a local clock, daylight-saving changes can alter the corresponding UTC time.

Start the actual live feed when the session begins
The event page can exist before there is a live video feed. To broadcast, you must send video to YouTube and start the event in Live Control Room.
- In your encoder, enter the YouTube stream URL and stream key for the scheduled event.
- Start the encoder’s stream so it sends the feed to YouTube.
- Wait for the feed to appear in the Live Control Room preview and check that it is the session you intend to show.
- Select Go live in Live Control Room to begin the event.
For a guided session, decide in advance whether you will appear on camera, speak live, or use a prepared recording. YouTube supports several ways to go live, including mobile, webcam, encoder, and console; its encoder workflow is suited to setups using hardware such as microphones and cameras. A microphone may help capture spoken guidance, and a webcam is optional if you want to appear on screen. Neither is required just to schedule an event. YouTube recommends testing the setup, checking the preview, and confirming the event is accessible before broadcast; allow enough preparation time for your own equipment and connection. How to handle daily recurrence
Without development work: make one event per day
Create a separate Studio event for each session and use Reuse settings to carry over suitable details. Treat reused information as a starting point: confirm the date and time and update any session-specific title or description. The official Studio scheduling instructions do not document a daily recurrence control.
With a YouTube API workflow: create separate broadcasts
Google’s API documentation describes a technical pattern in which you create multiple liveBroadcast resources and bind them to one liveStream. The broadcast resources represent separate scheduled events, while the stream resource’s delivery settings can be reused by the encoder. This is not a one-click recurring schedule in Studio. The API workflow requires development work; a scheduled broadcast includes a title, scheduled start time, and privacy status. End the session and manage its replay
When the meditation is over, end the stream in Live Control Room and stop the encoder feed. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. You can manage past, current, and upcoming streams from the Live area in Studio. If you intend to keep or share the replay, check the archived video after the broadcast.
Common scheduling and broadcast problems
- You cannot find Go Live or scheduling controls: Check channel verification and live-streaming access, including whether the channel has had a restriction in the previous 90 days. Eligibility rules are listed in YouTube Help.
- The event page exists, but viewers see no live video: Scheduling did not start the feed. Start the encoder, confirm its feed appears in Live Control Room, and select Go live.
- The wrong session details appear: Reusing settings can carry over prior metadata and settings. Edit the event and verify its title, description, visibility, date, and time before sharing.
- Viewers are unsure when to join: Put the time zone in the announcement and watch-page details you control; do not assume all viewers interpret the scheduled time in the same zone.
- The live setup is untested: Follow YouTube’s production advice to test the setup, inspect the preview, and confirm event accessibility before the session.
