For a pre-recorded video that should start automatically at a chosen time, create a schedule in Livepush, select YouTube as the destination, and set the date, time, and time zone. Livepush says its cloud servers start the broadcast at the scheduled moment, so your computer does not need to stay on. This is separate from scheduling a YouTube Live Event, which sets up the event but does not, by itself, start an encoder feed.
Choose the right scheduling workflow
Use Livepush’s pre-recorded scheduling workflow if you have finished video files and want cloud playout to begin unattended. If you are sending a live encoder feed, schedule the event in YouTube and configure Livepush as its destination; creating the YouTube event alone does not start the feed.

Livepush describes pre-recorded scheduling and time-zone selection on its scheduling page. Its workflow-specific setup guides are for a linked YouTube account and a manual RTMP key.
Schedule an uploaded video to start automatically
- Enable YouTube live streaming. Confirm the channel is eligible to stream live. Livepush says activation for new channels can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this prerequisite until the scheduled start time. See the Livepush manual RTMP guide for its prerequisite guidance.
- Open Livepush’s Pre-recorded Live dashboard. Upload the video file or files you want to broadcast.
- Create a stream schedule and choose YouTube as the destination. Livepush’s pre-recorded workflow describes selecting the uploaded video and destination, then saving a schedule. Choose “Start Immediately” only if you want the stream to begin now rather than later.
- Set the scheduled date, time, and time zone. Check the displayed zone against the time you intend viewers to see. Livepush says its servers begin broadcasting at the scheduled moment, even if your computer is off.
- Review the destination and schedule before airtime. The published guidance does not specify a start-time tolerance, daylight-saving-time edge cases, retries, or the effect of a last-minute schedule edit. Do not assume second-level precision or a particular recovery behavior.
Livepush says plan capacities and features can vary; check the current pricing page and the features available in your account before relying on a schedule.

Set up a YouTube Live Event destination in Livepush
Connect your YouTube account
- From the Livepush stream dashboard, add a YouTube destination.
- Sign in to YouTube and select the channel you intend to use.
- Choose “New Live Event,” enter the event title, description, and privacy settings, then save the destination.
- Turn on the destination and start streaming when you are ready to send the feed.
This is destination setup for an event and feed. It is not the same as scheduling uploaded video to start automatically from the Livepush pre-recorded schedule.
Use a manual RTMP key
- In YouTube Studio, open the live room, select Manage, then choose Schedule Stream.
- Create the event and enter its details and scheduled time.
- Copy the event’s RTMP stream key.
- Return to Livepush, configure the YouTube destination with that key, and save it.
- Start the encoder feed when ready. Livepush says this manual setup must be repeated for each event if the channel is not linked.
With manual RTMP setup, Livepush says YouTube live comments will not appear in its Multi chat overlay. For the documented workflow, see the manual connection guide.

What to verify before the scheduled start
- Channel readiness: live streaming is enabled on the correct YouTube channel.
- Video and destination: the intended uploaded video is selected and YouTube is the destination.
- Date, time, and zone: the selected time zone matches your intended start time.
- Event versus playout: for uploaded video, use the Livepush schedule; for an encoder feed, make sure the event and feed are separately configured.
- Last-minute changes: because the published guidance does not establish how close to airtime a change can be made or what happens after an edit, avoid relying on an unverified late change.
