The robot must also be saved or approved; an unsaved robot will not run on a schedule.
Set up a recurring website check in Browse AI
- Save or approve the robot. Create and save the robot first, and complete any approval step shown in the dashboard. Browse AI says a schedule will not run until the robot is saved. See How to approve a robot.
- Open the robot and its monitoring controls. From the Browse AI dashboard, select the robot, then open its Monitor tab. Choose the monitor-creation action. Help pages use slightly different labels, such as “Create a Monitor” and “Create new monitor”; monitor setup may also be offered while creating a robot. See How to run your robot and How to set up monitoring for website changes.
- Choose the schedule. Select the offered frequency and, where available, the days of the week and time of day. Some monitors offer “Anytime.” Check the monitor’s timezone rather than assuming it follows your computer’s local timezone. Browse AI documentation lists hourly, daily, and weekly choices; its monitoring guide also lists minute frequency. The controls available can vary by monitor.
- Set the page and inputs. Enter the origin URL the robot should check, supply any input parameters it requires, and give the monitor a name that identifies the page or purpose.
- Choose notifications and save. Enable the email or other available notification options you want, review the schedule and URL, then save the monitor. Browse AI describes scheduled monitoring as automatically creating tasks at the selected cadence; results appear in task history. See How to set up and run tasks.
Choose a cadence that fits the page
Match the schedule to how often the target page changes and how quickly you need to notice. A slow-changing page may not justify frequent runs; a weekly check can be enough if changes are infrequent. A page with short-lived updates may call for daily, hourly, or a more frequent option if the monitor offers it. Browse AI’s guidance recommends balancing update timing against credit use; an aggressive schedule can spend capacity checking a page that has not changed.

Set up change notifications
To receive email when captured text changes, select the robot, open Monitor, add or edit its monitor, enable the email notification for captured-text changes, and save. Verify the email address associated with your account if alerts do not arrive. Understand task and credit use
Each scheduled execution is a task, and recurring runs consume the account’s task or credit capacity. Browse AI says cost depends on how much data the robot extracts and the site’s cost classification. Its Help Center’s 2026 credit guide lists these vendor-published figures:

These are Browse AI’s published rates, not a guaranteed fixed price for every scheduled run: actual usage depends on the site classification and what the robot captures. When to use the API or an automation platform
The dashboard monitor is the simplest choice for one robot checking a page on a recurring schedule. If you need to create or manage monitors programmatically or across a fleet, Browse AI documents monitor listing and creation through its API; schedules are represented with an RRULE-like string. For a run triggered by an event in another app rather than by a recurring timetable, Browse AI’s robot-running guide names Zapier, Make.com, and Pabbly Connect as automation options. Troubleshoot a monitor that is not running or alerting
- No scheduled tasks appear: Confirm that the robot was saved or approved, that the monitor itself was saved, and that it is attached to the intended robot. Browse AI states that a schedule does not run until the robot is saved.
- It runs at an unexpected time: Check the monitor’s timezone, selected weekdays, and time-of-day setting. Do not infer the timezone from your browser or operating system.
- The target page or result is wrong: Review the origin URL and all robot input parameters, then verify the robot can run against that page manually before relying on the monitor.
- Email changes are not arriving: Check that the email notification for captured-text changes is enabled on the monitor, save the edit, and verify the account email address.
- Credits are being used faster than expected: Compare the monitor cadence with the page’s update rate and inspect what the robot extracts. Row counts, screenshots, captured text, and premium-site classification can affect the task cost.
