To archive an IRCTC PNR status page, look up the PNR on IRCTC’s official enquiry page, then use your browser’s built-in print or save-as-PDF option. The PDF is a snapshot of what appeared at that moment; it will not update if the live status changes.
Before you save the PNR status
- Open IRCTC’s PNR enquiry service and enter the PNR number.
- Choose the status action to display the booking and current status details.
- Check that the displayed PNR and status are the ones you intend to keep. Review the print preview before sharing: the PDF may include journey or passenger information.
IRCTC describes the PNR lookup and status action in its General Services Administration Guide. Keep the resulting file in a private location and share it only with people who need the details. IRCTC’s privacy policy discusses traveller information provided through accounts and information about other travellers booked through an account.
Save the webpage as a PDF
Desktop Chrome on Windows, Linux, or Mac
- With the status page open, open Chrome’s print dialog: select File > Print, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or press Command+P on Mac.
- In the print dialog, choose the PDF destination shown by your operating system, usually Save as PDF.
- Review the preview and settings, then save the PDF to a private folder.
- Open the saved file and check that the status and relevant details are visible and fit on the page.
Chrome’s print controls and shortcuts are documented in Google’s Chrome Help. The exact PDF destination label can vary by operating system.

- Open the PNR status page in Chrome and tap More > Share > Print.
- Choose Save as PDF, review the preview, select a save location, and save.
- Open the saved PDF to confirm it contains the intended status details.

iPhone Safari
- Open the status webpage in Safari and tap Share.
- Choose Markup, then tap Done.
- Choose Save File To, name the PDF, and select a location in Files.
- Open the saved file and check its contents.

When an IRCTC app PDF is enough
IRCTC Rail Connect’s Android app guide shows a PDF icon on the ticket-details screen for saving ticket details to a mobile device. That is an alternative record of the ticket; it is not necessarily a capture of the live PNR status webpage. Use the browser method when you specifically need a record of what the webpage displayed. See the IRCTC Rail Connect Android Mobile App User Guide and the IRCTC Rail Connect app page. The guide also cautions that shared images may blur in some messaging apps.
