If you can only view the statement as a webpage, open Chrome’s print dialog, choose Save as PDF where available, check the preview, and save. Indian banks use different menus, so there is no single net-banking path that works for every account.
Choose the right way to create the PDF
There are two distinct routes: download or export a statement from the bank, or print the webpage to a PDF using your browser. Prefer the bank’s own download when it offers the right account, date range, and format. A browser-generated PDF is a printout of the displayed page; it is not necessarily equivalent to a bank-generated statement, and a receiving organization may have specific document requirements.
- Use the bank download if you need the bank’s statement file and its controls cover the dates and format you need.
- Use browser printing if the statement is displayed on a webpage and you need to save what is visible.
- For a formal submission, check the recipient’s requirements rather than assuming either file type will be accepted.
Download a statement from your bank first
- Sign in to your bank’s genuine net-banking site using your usual route. Never share your login details with someone offering to download the statement for you.
- Open the account or statement area. Look for labels such as Account Statement, Get Statement, or e-Statements; labels and navigation differ by bank.
- Select the account and the required date range. Confirm both before continuing.
- Choose PDF or the bank’s own save/export option if available, then save the file.
- Open the saved file and check that it covers the intended account and dates.
Examples of bank-specific menus and formats
These are examples from official bank pages, not instructions guaranteed to match every customer’s current portal:
- ICICI Bank: the cited instructions say to go to Bank Accounts > e-Statements > View Detailed Statement, select a date range, and download. The page says statements can be viewed for up to four years; this is an ICICI-specific service detail and may change. ICICI Bank statement instructions.
- HDFC Bank: its FAQ gives two paths: Get Statement > account > time period > Download or Email, or Accounts > account > Account Statement > period > Download or Email. It lists PDF, Excel, Text, Delimited, and MSMoney as download formats, and says emailed statements are PDF. HDFC also says its downloaded statement is password protected; follow HDFC’s own instructions for that file rather than applying its password rule to another bank. - Indian Overseas Bank: its FAQ describes Accounts > Account Statements > view/print, followed by selecting an account and from/to dates; a separate FAQ describes exporting from the same area. Indian Overseas Bank FAQ.
- Deutsche Bank India: its online banking page describes selecting an account and period, choosing Save as PDF, and submitting. It lists savings, current, loan, and overdraft statements. Deutsche Bank India online banking services.
- Indian Bank: its internet-banking page confirms account-statement access but does not give a detailed PDF workflow. Indian Bank internet banking.
If your bank is not listed, use its portal’s help or statement area to find the current route; do not assume another bank’s menu names apply.

Print a statement webpage to PDF in Chrome
On Windows, Linux, or Mac
- Sign in to the bank and open the statement webpage. Wait until the account details and transaction rows you need have loaded.
- On Windows or Linux, press Ctrl+P. On Mac, press Command+P. You can also open Chrome’s menu and select Print.
- In the print dialog, select the PDF destination, commonly labelled Save as PDF. Review the preview and available print settings.
- Save the file, choose a location, and give it a recognizable filename.
- Open the PDF and verify the account details, statement dates, and transaction rows are present and readable.
Google’s desktop guidance is to open the page, open Print, select a destination and settings, then print. The exact destination label can depend on the computer’s print setup. See Google Chrome Help: print from Chrome.
On Android Chrome
- Open the statement webpage in Chrome and wait for it to finish loading.
- Tap More > Share > Print.
- Choose Save as PDF, select a location, and save.
- Open the saved PDF and check that the needed statement details appear.

Troubleshoot a missing or incomplete PDF
- No PDF option in the bank portal: check for a separate download, export, or e-Statement route before printing the webpage. Some bank procedures offer those controls separately from the view/print screen.
- Print preview is blank or incomplete: confirm the selected account and date range, wait for the statement to load, and reload the page if needed. The bank-specific pages do not establish one fix that works for every portal; if printing remains incomplete, use the bank’s download/export path or check its help.
- The downloaded PDF asks for a password: follow the instructions for that bank and file. Password conventions are not universal; HDFC’s password guidance applies to HDFC statements, not automatically to other banks.
- Details are missing after saving: reopen the PDF, verify the period and account, and compare the transaction rows with the statement page. Do not submit an incomplete copy.
- A visa, loan, tax, or other submission is involved: use the document type and date range requested by the receiving organization. Bank and browser instructions do not set universal acceptance rules.
Protect banking information
- Use your bank’s genuine website and normal sign-in route; do not send passwords, one-time passcodes, or session details to another person.
- Save the file to a location you control, and avoid leaving statement PDFs in a shared or public folder.
- Use the bank’s direct statement download for private authenticated account data. Do not send credentials or authenticated banking pages to third-party screenshot services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I save an Indian net-banking statement as a PDF on my phone?
Yes. In Android Chrome, open More > Share > Print, select Save as PDF, choose a location, and save.
Will a browser-printed PDF count as an official bank statement?
That depends on the organization asking for it. Check its document requirements; a browser printout is distinct from a bank-generated statement file.
