Yes. You can run two different nature ambience streams simultaneously on one YouTube channel by creating a separate YouTube broadcast and incoming stream for each feed, then sending each feed from its own encoder output with the matching stream key. YouTube documents a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key; both limits apply at once.
Understand broadcasts, streams, and stream keys
A broadcast is the viewer-facing live event on your channel. A stream is the incoming audio-video feed sent by an encoder. To show, for example, a forest at dawn and a nighttime rain scene at the same time, create two broadcasts and send two distinct incoming feeds. Google’s API guide describes separate streams as appropriate when simultaneous broadcasts cannot use the same streaming settings. Binding one incoming stream to multiple broadcasts can distribute one feed to multiple videos, but it does not create two different scenes. Google’s Live Streaming API guide explains the distinction.
Set up two different ambience feeds
- Create the first broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule the first event. Set its title, description, visibility, and other event details.
- Create the second broadcast. Create or schedule another event for the other ambience feed. Each event will have its own viewer-facing video page.
- Set up a separate incoming stream for each feed. Configure distinct incoming stream resources for the two broadcasts. Do not bind the same feed to both if the scenes or audio are meant to differ.
- Configure an encoder output for each stream. For each event, use the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for that stream. Match the first encoder output to the first feed and key, and the second output to the second feed and key. Follow the encoder’s instructions for entering YouTube’s server and key details; YouTube’s live-streaming setup guide covers the platform-side workflow.
- Check both previews before going live. In Live Control Room, confirm that each preview shows the intended scene and that its audio is correct. Start each encoder output for its corresponding broadcast, then monitor both events while they run. YouTube recommends monitoring audio and video quality during a stream (YouTube live-streaming tips).
Choose an encoder setup without guessing at hardware
You can encode both feeds on one computer with two encoder outputs, or use separate encoding devices. YouTube’s published guidance does not establish a particular CPU, GPU, or upload-bandwidth minimum for two concurrent nature ambience encodes. The workload depends on resolution, codec, encoder settings, and whether the two feeds are encoded on one machine or on separate devices. Check the requirements of your encoder and network for the exact configuration, and test both outputs before scheduling a long session rather than relying on a generic hardware minimum.
Check YouTube’s simultaneous-stream limits
YouTube Help currently documents up to 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key (YouTube Help, accessed 2026). These are concurrent active-stream limits, and both apply: separate keys do not remove the channel-wide cap. Two feeds fit within those stated limits, assuming the channel is otherwise below them.

Protect monetization eligibility and content rights
Two live events do not automatically qualify a channel for monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says monetized content should be original and not mass-produced, generic, or repetitive. Its July 15, 2025 update renamed the prior “repetitious content” label to “inauthentic content.” Reviewers may assess the channel overall, including its theme, most-viewed and newest videos, share of watch time, metadata, and About section. Reused-content review is separate from copyright: permission to use someone else’s material does not itself guarantee monetization eligibility. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to material in both live streams and their archived versions, including music. Troubleshoot mismatched or missing feeds
- The events show the same scene: Check that each event has its own incoming stream and that the encoder outputs are not both sending the same source. One feed bound to multiple broadcasts duplicates a feed; it does not create distinct content.
- A broadcast does not receive video: Verify that the encoder uses the server URL and stream key for that specific event, and that its output is running. Compare the Live Control Room preview against the intended feed before proceeding.
- Audio or video is wrong on one event: Inspect that output’s source selection and audio routing, then check its preview. Monitor both broadcasts, not just the first one.
- You cannot start another stream: Check the number of active streams on the channel and on the key being used. YouTube’s documented limits are 10 per channel and 3 per key; creating another key does not bypass the channel limit.
- You are unsure whether one computer can handle both: There is no documented universal hardware minimum for this setup. Test the actual resolution, codec, and encoder settings with both outputs active, or split encoding across devices.
