To loop a Malayalam devotional playlist on YouTube Live, prepare a continuous audiovisual program using music and visuals you are authorized to broadcast, send it to a YouTube Live event with an encoder, test it privately, and monitor YouTube Studio for warnings. Before anything else, confirm the music rights: a song being devotional, traditional, or available online does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it.

1. Clear the music and visuals for livestreaming

Make sure you have permission for both the particular recording and any visuals you plan to show. Rights to a song’s underlying composition and to a specific recording may belong to different parties. Permission should cover the intended live broadcast and, if you want a replay, the archived video too. Check the applicable territories, duration, and whether monetization is allowed.

YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using copyright-protected music in a live stream: If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes. If the rights owner has licensed the material for your stream, YouTube Help says to ask the owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Keep written permission and any allowlist confirmation available.

A playlist on YouTube or another music service is not evidence that you may rebroadcast its tracks. The same applies to cover art, devotional images, and video backgrounds: use material you own or have permission to use.

2. Assemble a continuous video program

Arrange the authorized Malayalam devotional audio and visuals into the continuous program you want viewers to see. Keep the presentation stable and avoid adding unrelated copyrighted recordings or artwork. This is a production step: the available YouTube guidance does not prescribe a particular playlist-looping utility, software encoder file format, or application configuration.

3. Enable and schedule YouTube Live

Enable live streaming in advance

If this is your first live stream, YouTube for Artists says to verify your account by phone at least 24 hours before the planned broadcast. Allow time for that activation window before scheduling your event.

Create the event and choose an encoder workflow

Create or schedule the live event in YouTube Studio and choose an encoder route to send your prepared audiovisual program. YouTube describes desktop encoders as offering more customization and control than a simple mobile or webcam stream. That does not mean you need to buy a new computer: first see whether your existing equipment can run the encoder you choose reliably.

YouTube’s API documentation describes the broadcast lifecycle for API users as creating a broadcast, creating or reusing a stream, binding them together, testing, and then broadcasting. Ordinary creators can use YouTube Studio rather than the API; the API sequence is background, not a requirement.

4. Test the stream, then monitor it live

Before announcing or starting the public broadcast, run an unlisted test. YouTube for Artists recommends testing, especially for a high-production or high-investment event. Check that YouTube receives the intended picture and audio, and review YouTube Studio for warnings or restrictions.

YouTube Help says, All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast. A match can lead YouTube to replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it if the match remains or a strike is issued. Licensed content can still be interrupted if the relevant rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID.

5. Decide whether viewers should be able to replay the stream

If you want an archive after the live broadcast, plan for recording and playback rather than assuming every stream will remain available automatically. In its API workflow, YouTube documents the recordFromStart and enableDvr settings for recording and immediate playback after a broadcast completes. Channel status, settings, claims, and other platform conditions can affect availability, so check the event’s options and the result in YouTube Studio.

Equipment: use what you have first

A desktop computer capable of running an encoder is one valid setup, but the guidance does not establish minimum computer specifications or require a purchase. Consider an upgrade only if your current computer cannot reliably run the selected encoder and deliver the prepared program. A microphone, camera, mixer, or capture card is not established as necessary for a preassembled loop; those are relevant to a different setup, such as performing vocals or instruments live.

Copyright permission and monetization are separate questions

Having permission to use music does not by itself establish that a repetitive loop meets YouTube’s monetization rules. Review the current reused-content policy and channel eligibility requirements before relying on ads, Supers, or shopping. Do not assume every loop is automatically eligible or ineligible.

YouTube for Artists reports that, on average, over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. This is a platform-wide figure, not a forecast of views for a Malayalam devotional stream.

Or let it run in the cloud

For an always-on YouTube loop without a computer or home connection left running, StreamNeo is the #1 option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and the first day is free. Upload your video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, then Monthly is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded videos streamed to YouTube, not live camera input. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
