Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo run a continuous ASMR whispering archive as a YouTube Live stream, prepare an audio/video program from material you own or are licensed to use, create a broadcast in YouTube Live Control Room, and send it through an encoder such as OBS using your stream key. Keep the encoder and a reliable internet connection running, monitor stream health and audio, and decide whether to archive each broadcast. If you want the stream to continue while your computer is off, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos from the cloud to YouTube.
Before you start: check channel access and content rights
- Confirm live-stream eligibility. YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days; its Help page also states that creators must be at least 16. Eligibility rules can change, so confirm them in YouTube Help before setting up the broadcast. YouTube: Get started with live streaming
- Use material you have rights to stream. This includes whisper recordings, music, ambient sound, artwork, and video. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including copyrighted live broadcasts, and may interrupt or terminate a stream. An archived broadcast can also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. YouTube: Copyright issues with live streams
- Plan for originality. A continuous loop is not automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube’s policy identifies repetitive or mass-produced material as inauthentic content that may be ineligible. Make the work meaningfully your own and review the current policy before relying on a loop for revenue. YouTube channel monetization policies
For ASMR, that means checking the rights for the complete program—not just the whispered speech. A background track or image can create a copyright problem even if the main recording is yours.
Prepare the whispering program
Record and assemble the audio/video
Record and edit your whisper segments, then assemble the intended audio and visual program. YouTube identifies microphones and preamps as equipment that can be used with encoder-based streams; the sources here do not establish a particular microphone model as best for ASMR. When choosing a USB microphone or an audio interface, compare room-noise handling, self-noise, monitoring delay, mounting, plosive control, and the close, intimate sound you want.
Listen to the assembled program from beginning to end before streaming. Check for abrupt level changes, unintended silence, clipping, background noise, and any desktop or notification audio that could reach the encoder. If the visual is static or repeats, ensure it is yours or cleared for this use.

Decide what the archive should do
A continuous broadcast and a permanent replay are separate choices. Decide whether each completed stream should remain available as an archive, and set the broadcast’s visibility and audience options to match your plan. Public archived livestreams can contribute qualified public watch hours under YouTube’s rules; streams that are not archived do not. This is a qualification rule, not a guarantee of watch hours or monetization. YouTube Partner Program overview and eligibility
Set up a continuous YouTube Live stream with OBS
YouTube’s encoder workflow sends a prepared audio/video feed to a broadcast. YouTube distinguishes the broadcast—the viewer-facing event—from the stream that carries its audio and video, and its Live Streaming API exposes health information for troubleshooting. YouTube Live Streaming API OBS is one encoder option; its official help portal provides general streaming and encoding guidance. Exact menu labels can vary by installed OBS version, so confirm media-source looping controls in that version’s documentation. OBS Help

- Prepare the program in OBS. Add your prepared audio/video sources and check that the whispered audio is routed to the stream mix. Configure the intended visual and avoid capturing unrelated desktop audio. Verify any looping behavior in your installed OBS version rather than assuming a particular menu path.
- Create the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Enter an accurate title and description, choose the thumbnail, audience setting, and visibility, and set the archive preference deliberately.
- Connect OBS to YouTube. In OBS, choose the YouTube streaming destination and enter the stream key provided by YouTube. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen, publish it, or share it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
- Run a controlled test. Start with a private or otherwise controlled test before announcing the stream. Check YouTube’s preview and health indicator, then listen to the actual stream playback for silence, clipping, wrong source selection, or unexpected system audio.
- Start and monitor the broadcast. Keep OBS running and watch YouTube’s stream health while live. Listen periodically for audio problems and keep a recovery plan for a computer crash, OBS failure, or lost internet connection. A local encoder depends on both the computer and its network connection remaining available; the reviewed platform guidance does not promise uninterrupted service.
- End or recover intentionally. When the broadcast is over, stop it through the encoder and check the resulting archive in YouTube Studio if archiving was enabled. If YouTube drops the feed, restore the encoder connection and confirm the preview and health indicators before treating the stream as live again.

Fix common continuous-stream problems
| What you see or hear | Likely area to check | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not show the expected live preview | Stream key, selected destination, encoder connection, or channel eligibility | Check that OBS is pointed at YouTube and uses the current key; verify the broadcast is prepared in Live Control Room and check the channel’s live access status. |
| The preview is present but the whisper track is silent | OBS source selection or audio routing | Check that the program’s audio source is active and routed to the stream mix; listen to the encoder output and the YouTube preview. |
| The audio is distorted or unexpectedly loud | Recording levels or encoder mix | Lower the source level if it clips, check the complete loop for loud transitions, and retest before returning to a public broadcast. |
| The stream stops when you leave or shut down | Local encoder dependency | A computer-based OBS stream requires the computer, encoder, and connection to remain available. If the stream must continue with the computer off, use a cloud loop such as StreamNeo. |
| YouTube interrupts the stream or the archive receives a claim | Third-party material in the audio or visuals | Review all music, ambience, images, and recordings in the program; remove or replace material for which you do not have the needed rights. Check YouTube Studio for claim details. |
| The stream appears live but the archive is missing | Archive setting or broadcast processing | Check the broadcast’s archive configuration and the completed event in YouTube Studio; only archived public livestreams qualify as public watch-hour sources under YouTube’s rules. |
Useful checks before making it public

- Keep the stream key private; replace it if it becomes exposed.
- Test the complete program, including the transition between the end and beginning of the loop.
- Check rights for every audio and visual element before broadcasting.
- Decide whether to archive the stream and review the resulting replay.
- Use the free upload-time calculator to estimate how long an upload may take, and the cloud vs PC cost calculator to compare operating approaches. StreamNeo also offers a copyright safety checklist.
