Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →You can run a 4K/60 fps YouTube Live loop over JioFiber only if the exact connection feeding your encoder can sustain the required upload rate. YouTube’s guidance recommends 35 Mbps of video bitrate for 4K60 with H.264; codec choice changes the guidance. A JioFiber plan’s advertised download speed—or the provider name alone—cannot confirm that your upload will hold steady. Measure and test the actual setup before relying on a long-running stream.
What you need to confirm first
- Your plan’s upload speed: Check the exact JioFiber plan available at your address; do not infer upload speed from its download headline.
- Sustained performance at the encoder: Measure from the computer or hardware encoder that will send the stream, at the times you expect to run it. A brief peak result does not prove the line can sustain a continuous stream.
- A stable encoder and loop source: Your chosen software or hardware must encode the video and repeat the prerecorded file. YouTube does not automatically loop the source file.
- A test stream: Use the same video motion and audio planned for the actual stream, then review stream health and encoder messages in YouTube Live Control Room.
One example surfaced on Jio’s official plan comparison page lists 30 Mbps upload and 30 Mbps download. That is below YouTube’s H.264 4K60 video recommendation before audio or network variation, but it is one plan example—not a description of every JioFiber tier or a measurement of real-world throughput. Check Jio’s Fiber plan comparison for the plan available to you.
Set YouTube’s incoming stream settings
For its English encoder guidance, YouTube recommends the following settings for a 4K60 live input. These describe what your encoder sends; they do not guarantee every viewer will receive 4K60. YouTube transcodes live streams into different output formats, and playback quality also depends on YouTube processing and the viewer’s device and connection.
| Setting | 4K60 guidance |
|---|---|
| Resolution and frame rate | 3840 × 2160 (2160p) at up to 60 fps |
| Video codec and bitrate | H.264: recommended 35 Mbps video bitrate. AV1 or H.265/HEVC: YouTube lists a 10–40 Mbps range; the lower end should not be treated as equivalent picture quality to the H.264 recommendation. |
| Rate control | Constant bitrate (CBR) |
| Keyframe interval | Two seconds recommended; do not exceed four seconds |
| Ingest protocol | RTMP or RTMPS; YouTube recommends RTMPS |
| Audio | AAC or MP3 for RTMP/RTMPS; YouTube recommends 128 Kbps stereo audio |
| Latency | Normal latency: YouTube says low latency is unavailable for 4K |
See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guidance for the current instructions. YouTube also recommends testing upload bitrate and testing the stream before going live.

Configure and test the loop
- Verify the connection plan. Confirm the upload speed for your exact JioFiber tier, rather than relying on download speed or a general claim about the provider.
- Measure from the sending device. Check upload performance on the computer or hardware encoder you will use, including at the times the loop will run. Account for the fact that other household traffic may compete for upload capacity; YouTube does not publish a JioFiber-specific safety margin.
- Configure your encoder. Set 3840 × 2160 at 60 fps, select a supported codec, and use a bitrate within YouTube’s guidance for that codec. Set CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, and choose RTMPS where your encoder supports it.
- Set the source to repeat. Enable looping in the chosen playback or encoding software. The exact control depends on the software; verify that playback returns to the start without stopping or sending a blank feed.
- Run a nonpublic test. Create an unlisted or otherwise nonpublic test in YouTube Live Control Room. Use representative movement and audio, then check stream health and encoder messages before leaving it unattended.
- Adjust if the test is unstable. If upload varies or YouTube reports degraded stream health, lower the bitrate or resolution, improve the connection, or reduce competing traffic; then test again. Do not assume a short successful test proves indefinite stability.
When to consider HLS instead
RTMPS with YouTube’s standard encoder settings is the simpler default for a general setup. HLS is a separate ingestion workflow, not just another toggle for every RTMP encoder. Google’s HLS documentation describes M2TS media, H.264 or HEVC video, AAC audio, closed GOPs, and frame rates up to 60 fps. It notes that HEVC can use lower values in YouTube’s suggested bitrate ranges to save bandwidth, especially for 4K. Use HLS only if your encoder and workflow specifically support it, and follow Google’s HLS ingestion guide.
Troubleshoot common problems
- The stream will not hold 4K60: The connection may not sustain the chosen video bitrate. Recheck upload from the encoder device and repeat the test; reduce bitrate or resolution if stream health remains poor.
- Download looks fast, but the live stream struggles: Download performance does not establish upload capacity. Test upload from the actual sending setup.
- Stream health worsens during busy household periods: Competing traffic can affect the connection available to the encoder. Retest during the intended streaming hours and reduce other upload use where possible.
- The stream starts but the video stops at the end: YouTube does not repeat a prerecorded source automatically. Confirm that looping is enabled in the playback or encoding software, then test the transition back to the beginning.
- Viewers do not see 4K60: The encoder sends an incoming format; YouTube transcodes for playback, and viewer quality depends on processing, device, and connection. Check the incoming stream health separately from a viewer’s playback setting.
- Low-latency mode is unavailable: YouTube’s cited guidance says 4K uses normal latency. This is expected for the stated 4K workflow.
Copyright and long-running loops
Before looping a recording publicly, confirm that you have the rights needed for every video and audio element, including music, images, and third-party footage. YouTube’s copyright and monetization outcomes depend on the content and circumstances; a live format does not remove those obligations. Review the copyright safety checklist before streaming.
