Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The right place to review an app depends on how you connected it: Sign in with Apple, access to iCloud Mail, Calendar or Contacts, an app-specific password, or Apple’s Automatic Sign-in connected accounts. Check the matching control below; an app missing from one list may be managed somewhere else.
First, identify how you connected the app
Think back to the setup. Did you tap Sign in with Apple, authorize an app to use iCloud Mail, Calendar or Contacts, enter an app-specific password, or link an existing app account through Automatic Sign-in? Each connection has its own management screen and a different result when removed.

Sign in with Apple shares sign-in information with an app or website. Apple says, “At your first sign-in, apps and websites can ask only for your name and email address to set up an account for you.” You may also choose Hide My Email, which creates a unique random address that forwards messages to your personal email. These details apply to Sign in with Apple; they do not describe every kind of access an app might have through another connection. Apple explains Sign in with Apple.
Review or stop using Sign in with Apple
- On iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, tap your name, then tap Sign in with Apple.
- On Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click your name, then click Sign in with Apple.
- On the web: Sign in at account.apple.com, open Sign-In & Security, then choose Sign in with Apple.
- Select an app or developer to see information originally shared. To revoke the connection, select the entry, choose Delete, and confirm that you want to stop using Sign in with Apple.
Stopping Sign in with Apple signs you out of that app on your device. The next time you visit, you may be able to use Sign in with Apple again or create a new account; some apps let you add a password to keep using the existing account. If a developer uses the same sign-in connection across multiple apps, stopping it—or turning off email forwarding—can affect that developer’s other apps too. Review the selected entry and the app’s account options before confirming. See Apple’s Sign in with Apple management steps.

Remove an app’s access to iCloud Mail, Calendar or Contacts
This control is for supported third-party apps authorized to access those iCloud data services; it is separate from Sign in with Apple.
- Sign in at account.apple.com.
- Open Sign-In and Security from the side panel, then choose Account Data Sharing.
- Find the app and choose Remove access.
After removal, the app cannot access the data again unless you authorize it again. Apple’s instructions cover third-party access to iCloud Mail, Calendar and Contacts.

Remove app-specific passwords
An app-specific password is a credential for an app that signs in to your Apple Account in a way that requires a password. It is not the same as Sign in with Apple or authorization to read iCloud data. Apple requires two-factor authentication to generate app-specific passwords.
- Sign in at account.apple.com.
- Open Sign-In and Security, then choose App-Specific Passwords.
- Remove the password you no longer need, or choose Revoke All to invalidate every app-specific password.
Revoking a password signs out the app using it. Changing or resetting your primary Apple Account password also revokes all app-specific passwords, so apps you still use may need new credentials. See Apple’s app-specific password instructions.

Disconnect an Automatic Sign-in connected account
Automatic Sign-in connected accounts link a supported third-party app account to your Apple Account. This is distinct from using Sign in with Apple to create or access an app account.
- On iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, tap your name, then Media & Purchases > View Account > Connected Accounts.
- On the web: Go to tv.apple.com, open your profile or account settings, then choose Account Access > Manage Connected Accounts.
- Select the linked account and disconnect it if you no longer want the connection.
Disconnecting a linked account does not automatically sign you out of the third-party app. On iPhone and iPad, Apple says this feature requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later and is available only for supported apps. For details, see Apple’s connected-account guidance.

Check signed-in devices separately
If your concern is an unfamiliar person or device using your Apple Account, review the device list too. This is a security check, not an inventory of app authorizations. You can review devices in Apple Account settings or at account.apple.com. The list can include Android, Windows and streaming devices as well as Apple devices.
Remove a device only if you no longer use it or do not recognize it. Apple says removal blocks that device from iCloud and other Apple services and prevents it from displaying two-factor verification codes. See how to review devices signed in to your Apple Account and Apple’s account-security guidance.

Which control should you use?
| Connection | Where to manage it | What removal does |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Apple | iPhone/iPad Settings, Mac System Settings, or account.apple.com | Stops the sign-in connection and signs you out of the app on your device. |
| iCloud Mail, Calendar or Contacts authorization | account.apple.com > Sign-In and Security > Account Data Sharing | Blocks the app’s access until you authorize it again. |
| App-specific password | account.apple.com > Sign-In and Security > App-Specific Passwords | Signs out the app using the revoked password. |
| Automatic Sign-in connected account | iPhone/iPad Settings or tv.apple.com settings | Disconnects the linked account but does not itself sign you out of the app. |
| Signed-in device | Apple Account settings or account.apple.com | Blocks that device from iCloud and other Apple services and from displaying verification codes. |
Settings labels can vary with software release, locale and account type. If you use a managed Apple Account through school or work, an administrator may need to help with Sign in with Apple at Work & School.
