Can you reset Karia’s body shape?
There is no confirmed reset-to-default command in the announcement. If Karia has already changed shape, turning body-shape changes OFF is documented only as a way to stop subsequent changes. Nothing in the published description says that OFF restores her original appearance or moves her back one or more stages.

That distinction matters. A prevention control and a reset control are different:
- Prevention: OFF stops future snack-driven changes.
- Preservation: LOCK keeps a chosen appearance from changing further.
- Reset: a command that returns Karia to a default or earlier appearance has not been documented.
Until Gust publishes a manual or interface walkthrough, treat any claim that OFF instantly makes Karia smaller, returns her to a starting body type, or reverses the last snack as unconfirmed.
How to stop further changes from snacks

- Find the body-shape change control and set it to OFF.
- Confirm or apply the setting if the final release presents a confirmation prompt.
- Continue playing knowing that later snack quantity should not change Karia’s body shape while the setting remains OFF.
Gust has not stated whether the setting takes effect immediately, whether it applies only to new snacks, or whether a save must be loaded for it to take effect. Those details should be checked against the in-game instructions when the feature is playable.
How to preserve a preferred shape
LOCK is the documented option for players who want to keep the feature active but do not want additional eating to alter Karia’s appearance. The announcement describes locking Karia “at a preferred body shape,” which indicates that the player can preserve a selected form rather than disabling the entire system.
- Leave body-shape changes ON if you want snack-driven changes available before locking.
- Reach the appearance you want to keep, if the final interface allows you to choose it in the manner Gust describes.
- Use the body-shape control’s LOCK option.
- Verify in the interface that the lock is active before relying on later snacks not to change her shape.
The last two operational details remain unknown: Gust has not published the menu location or explained whether “preferred” means the current shape, a separately selected stage, or another choice screen. It also has not said whether unlocking resumes progression from the locked point, starts a new calculation, or leaves the appearance unchanged.

Is there a body-shape slider?
Not in the information currently published. The announcement confirms a behavior that responds to snack quantity and a lock function, but it does not mention a draggable slider, numeric scale, percentage, weight value, or free selection of every intermediate shape.
Consequently, do not assume that the game will expose controls such as “50%,” “stage 3,” or a left-to-right body-width bar. The final design may use stages, a continuous calculation, presets, or another interface; none of those possibilities is established by the announcement.
What happens when Karia eats more?

With changes OFF
Her body shape will not change from eating, no matter how much she eats. This is the strongest documented way to prevent later snack-related changes, but it should not be interpreted as a restoration command.
With a shape locked
Further eating should not change the locked preferred shape. The announcement does not say whether other systems, events, costumes, animations, or non-snack actions can affect appearance, so the guarantee should be read specifically as protection against the further eating described in the feature announcement.

You only need to stop additional changes
Use OFF. This addresses future snack-driven changes. It does not establish what happens to the form Karia already has.
You like the current appearance
Use LOCK if the final game exposes the option for the current or otherwise preferred form. Because Gust has not described the selection screen, confirm the displayed preview or label before applying it.
You want an earlier or default appearance
No official reset procedure is available in the announcement. Avoid treating OFF as a guaranteed undo, and avoid relying on an unverified number of snacks to reverse the change: no progression curve or reversal rule has been published.

- How much food causes a change and whether food types matter.
- The number of body-shape stages, if the system uses discrete stages.
- Whether a numeric or continuous slider exists.
- Whether OFF restores, freezes, or otherwise affects an already changed shape beyond preventing later changes.

- Whether unlocking resumes shape progression and from which point.
- Whether the controls affect anything besides snack-driven body-shape changes.
These are interface and rules questions, not details that can safely be inferred from the ON/OFF/LOCK descriptions. Atelier Karia is in development, so labels and behavior may change before launch.
A safe way to test the controls after release
When the game is available and the final interface is documented, test on a separate save if the game permits it. Record Karia’s appearance before changing one setting, perform the smallest available snack action, and check whether the appearance changes. Then test OFF and LOCK separately rather than changing both at once. This isolates whether a result came from the setting or from the snack sequence.
- Take a screenshot before and after each test so similar stages are not confused.
- Write down the setting shown in the menu and the snack quantity used.
- Do not assume that a visual difference is a body-shape change; costumes, poses, camera distance, and animation can alter how Karia appears.
- If OFF does not visibly restore an earlier form, that is consistent with the published description, which promises prevention rather than a reset.
Why the feature was announced
Gust’s official survey-results page says the feature decision received more than 38,000 responses. That establishes substantial survey participation, but it does not add technical details about the controls. The usable information for players remains the three documented behaviors: ON allows snack-related changes, OFF prevents them, and LOCK preserves a preferred shape.
