The reliable reroll method in Tower of God: New World is to change servers, use that server’s one-time Welcome Summon, and keep an account whose starting roster has a dependable damage dealer plus enough support and frontline utility to clear early Adventure stages. Switching servers creates a new account code while preserving progress on the original server, so you can retry without deleting the first attempt. Once you keep a result, link the account from the Profile menu and build around Shinsu Link slots rather than trying to level every character separately.
What rerolling does in Tower of God: New World
A reroll is a fresh start used to improve the characters and resources available at the beginning of an account. In this game, the documented fresh-start action is server switching, not changing your nickname or repeatedly reinstalling the app. Netmarble’s Profile instructions explain that moving to another server creates a new account code and starts the game from the beginning on that server. If you return to the original server, its progress remains available.
That makes each server an independent attempt. You can test the Welcome Summon, inspect the resulting roster, and either keep the account or move to another server. The Welcome Summon is available once per account on each server, so spending it does not remove the opportunity to summon on a different server.

There is no permanently correct character to chase. The summon pool, rates, banners and event rewards are live-service data. A roster that is excellent on one patch can be less attractive after a new rate-up or balance change. Judge the account by the jobs it can perform now, the number of duplicates needed for those jobs, and the resources you can obtain after the reroll.
Reroll step by step
- Open the Profile menu from the Main Lobby. Note the server currently shown before you do anything else. This prevents you from losing track of which attempt contains which roster.
- Switch to an unused server. Netmarble documents server switching as the action that generates a new account code and restarts the game on that server. The original server’s progress is preserved and can be accessed again by switching back.
- Complete only the opening flow needed to reach summons. Avoid spending premium currency or upgrading a large number of characters before you have inspected the initial result. The exact number of free pulls in an attempt can vary with the live tutorial, events and account rewards.
- Use the Welcome Summon. New Regulars can use this special summon once per account on each server. Record the units you receive and any relevant duplicate or selection rewards.
- Apply a stopping rule. Keep the account when it has a usable carry and complementary support or frontline coverage for early Adventure stages. Do not require a particular name if the team already has the roles and survivability it needs.
- Retry poor results on another server. Return to the Profile menu, select a different server and repeat the Welcome Summon there. The old attempt remains intact, so you can compare results later.
- Link the account after deciding. The Main Lobby/Profile documentation places account linking in the Profile area. Link the server you intend to keep before investing heavily or changing devices.
Changing a nickname is not a reroll. Netmarble lists the free nickname-change function separately from server switching; a new name does not reset summons or create a new account code.

How to decide whether a reroll is good enough
Use a role-based test rather than a single tier-list label. A strong opening account normally answers four questions:
- Who is the carry? You need a character capable of supplying most of the team’s damage while the account’s slot levels are still low.
- Who keeps the carry operating? Healing, shielding, buffs, crowd control, cleansing or other utility can be more valuable than a second fragile attacker.
- Who holds the line? A frontline or durable control unit gives the damage dealer time to work and prevents early stages from collapsing to focused attacks.
- Can the roster cover different matchups? Early progress becomes less predictable when every slot performs the same job. Breadth is often worth more than a slightly higher damage ceiling on paper.
Immediate carry versus broad coverage
A high-damage opening can make the first Adventure chapters faster, but an account with only attackers may stall when enemies require control, healing or a durable front position. Compare the speed of your first clears with the number of situations the roster can handle. If one account has a marginally weaker carry but reliable support and frontline tools, it may save more resources over the first several weeks.

Some characters are useful immediately, while others are designed around several copies, exclusive equipment or later upgrades. For a reroll, favor SSR+ units that perform their core job at zero duplicates. A character whose value depends on reaching a high investment threshold can be a poor starting point unless the account also supplies a dependable temporary team.
Current banner access
Netmarble’s current summon table contains a large SSR+ pool, including Evan, Khun Edahn, Urek Mazino, Yirang Yeon, Ha Yuri, Hugo, Sharon, White, Dumas and Lefav among many others. The exact pool and rates are live and can change. Check the in-game summon details on the server you are using; do not treat an old reroll list as a permanent ranking.

Early clearing speed versus long-term flexibility
When two accounts are close, choose the one that clears early content without exhausting scarce resources. Fast progression unlocks more summons and growth systems, while a flexible roster reduces the need to rebuild when later stages demand a different role. A single spectacular unit is not automatically better than a balanced opening team.

Normal Summon planning after you keep an account
Conowen’s beginner guide, updated May 11, 2026, reports five free Normal Summon pulls each day. It also describes an SSR/SSR+ choice at 100 Normal Summons and a five-unit SSR+ selection at 200. The 200-summon counter resets after the SSR+ reward. Netmarble’s official summon guide confirms the normal-summon bonus milestones and states that Welcome Summons and Friendship Summons do not charge the normal bonus gauge.
Use Normal Summon tickets on the Normal banner and preserve Suspendium for the uses that matter to your account. The cited beginner guide specifically advises against spending Suspendium on the Normal banner. Because banner rules and rewards can change, read the current in-game details before committing premium currency.

New-player rewards and how to budget them
The same May 11, 2026 guide lists the following approximate new-player haul: 22 Revolution Bam copies, 11 Healing Flame Yihwa Yeon copies, one Wolhaiksong Urek Mazino copy, 540 Welcome Advent Tickets, approximately 2,640 Normal Summon Tickets and approximately 980 Black Market Tickets. These are guide figures for that version of the game, not a guarantee that every future account will receive identical quantities. Check the live mailbox, missions and event screens on your server.

If Xia Xia’s Climbing Encouragement is active, inspect every free, coin and Suspendium tier. The guide warns that some tiers require paid Red Suspendium, so decide the spending limit before claiming a chain of rewards. Free progression rewards should be separated from paid tiers in your budget; do not assume that reaching one tier makes the next one free.

Build your first team around roles
Start with the damage dealer, then add the units that let that character survive and keep attacking. A practical early composition usually contains a carry, a support or healer, a debuff or control specialist, and one or two frontline or flexible slots. The exact count depends on the stage and the characters available.
1. Choose the DPS anchor
Pick the unit that will receive the most consistent investment and whose attacks solve ordinary waves. Check whether the character works at zero duplicates, reaches targets reliably, and benefits from the buffs or debuffs your account can provide. Avoid splitting every resource between several competing carries before one has a clear lead.
2. Add sustain and utility
A healer, shield provider, buffer or cleanser can increase effective damage by keeping the carry active. Debuffs and crowd control can fill the same strategic role by reducing incoming pressure or grouping targets. Choose the tool that addresses the stage you are failing rather than adding another unit that merely increases theoretical damage.
3. Secure a frontline
Use a durable fighter, protector or control unit to delay enemies and create safe time for the DPS. If the frontline collapses instantly, move levels or equipment toward survivability before replacing the carry. Some stages reward a second durable unit; others reward an additional support or control effect.

4. Adjust positions and teams
Conowen’s progression advice emphasizes reacting to the battle flow. Change positions when an enemy focuses a fragile unit, and switch team members when a matchup neutralizes your main damage plan. A roster can appear weak simply because the correct unit is standing in the wrong place or entering a stage with an unsuitable ally.

In Tower of God: New World, progression is tied to Shinsu Link slots rather than conventional individual character leveling. Netmarble describes the system as eliminating the grind of leveling new characters: a new character can be placed into a developed slot and immediately become a powerful teammate. Conowen summarizes the same rule as, “In this game you don’t level up your units, you level up the slots that make up your team.”
That distinction makes a reroll less risky than in a game where every new character starts at level one. Develop the slots that your main team uses, then rotate characters into those slots when a stage calls for a different role. You still need to consider equipment, skills, duplicates and team compatibility, but you do not need to duplicate the entire leveling grind for every test unit.
The 20-level control point
Conowen recommends keeping one Shinsu Link about 20 levels above the others when possible. This lets you control which unit becomes the highest-attack character for team effects. Use the elevated slot for the unit that should receive attack-based bonuses or trigger effects tied to the team’s strongest attacker. If a new stage favors a different carry, move the slot assignment instead of rebuilding every slot evenly.

An efficient slot routine
- Identify the carry for the current content and place that character in the strongest appropriate slot.
- Keep one slot roughly 20 levels ahead when your resources allow it; do not cripple the other slots just to hit the number.
- Place support and frontline units into developed slots so they inherit the account’s progress.
- When a stage fails, test a position or role change before spending scarce materials on a new character.
- Expand evenly enough that a second team can function when multi-team content appears.
When to stop rerolling
Stop when the account meets your functional requirements, not when it produces a screenshot that looks perfect. A sensible stopping rule is: one reliable DPS, one sustain or utility option, one frontline or control option, and enough tickets or currency to reach the next Normal Summon milestone. If the account also has a current-banner unit that works at zero duplicates, its opportunity cost is lower than an account waiting for several future copies.

Continue rerolling when the Welcome result leaves you with no carry, no way to protect a carry, or a roster whose units all need several duplicates before they perform. Also retry if the account’s apparent strength depends on a banner that has already ended or on rewards unavailable on your server. There is no published universal reroll duration or guaranteed number of pulls per attempt, so set a personal time limit and use the role test consistently.
Common mistakes and fixes
Using nickname changes as resets
Symptom: You changed the name but still have the same summons and progress.
Fix: Return to Profile and switch servers. Only the documented server change creates the fresh account code.
Spending Suspendium on the Normal banner
Symptom: Premium currency is gone while your Normal milestone progress is unchanged or inefficient.
Fix: Use Normal Summon tickets on that banner and reserve Suspendium for the current priority identified from the live banner and event screens.
Counting Welcome pulls toward Normal milestones
Symptom: Your expected 100- or 200-summon reward does not appear.
Fix: Count only Normal Summons. Welcome and Friendship Summons do not charge the Normal bonus gauge.

Symptom: You discard a balanced roster because it lacks a character from an old list.
Fix: Read the current summon table and rates, then judge the account by carry, support, frontline coverage and duplicate requirements. Patch-sensitive priority images should be treated as advice for that guide version, not permanent law.
Leveling every slot equally
Symptom: The team lacks a clear highest-attack unit and struggles to trigger attack-based effects.
Fix: Keep one link about 20 levels ahead when feasible, while maintaining enough baseline levels for support and frontline slots.
Ignoring positioning
Symptom: A strong character dies before using key skills.
Fix: Move the threatened unit, alter the frontline order, or replace one teammate for the specific matchup before concluding that the account is weak.
Verification checklist before major spending
- Confirm the server name and account code in Profile.
- Read the live Welcome, Normal and event summon details, including rates and the current SSR+ pool.
- Check whether the listed new-player rewards and Xia Xia’s Climbing Encouragement tiers are active on your account.
- Record which units are useful at zero duplicates and which require a planned investment.
- Place your chosen carry, support and frontline units into developed Shinsu Link slots.
- Link the account from Profile before moving to another device or committing substantial resources.
Netmarble notes that some guide pages were written on a test environment and may change. Verify the live server’s labels, rates and rewards at the time you play. The 2026 beginner recommendations are similarly patch-sensitive; use them to organize decisions, not to override what the current game client actually offers.

Use server switching to create orderly reroll attempts, spend the one-time Welcome Summon on each test server, and keep the first roster that can clear early content with a DPS plus complementary support and frontline roles. After that, save Normal Summon tickets for the 100/200 milestone structure, avoid wasting Suspendium on the Normal banner, and invest in Shinsu Link slots so new characters can inherit your progress. Revisit your team and positions as banners and matchups change instead of restarting every time a tier list changes.
