Reroll in Guardian Tales only when your opening account gives you no hero or starting setup you actually want to develop and your target is available in the live banner or summon pool. Stop as soon as you have a start you are willing to use for story progression. Current selectable summons, mileage-style exchanges and future acquisition routes mean that chasing a mathematically perfect first account is usually less valuable than keeping a workable one.
What rerolling means in Guardian Tales
Rerolling is the process of starting an account, completing enough of the opening sequence to use the initial summons, judging the result, and restarting when the account misses a specific target. The target might be a particular unique hero, an opening team concept or an account that includes a useful exclusive weapon. It should not be an attempt to collect an abstractly perfect roster.
The important distinction is between a clear mismatch and a merely imperfect result. A clear mismatch is an opening that does not support the way you intend to play, especially when the hero you want is currently obtainable. A merely imperfect result is an account that could progress, but is missing a small upgrade you might eventually obtain through normal summoning, selectable systems or ticket exchanges.
Your first decision is therefore strategic, not mechanical: define the result that would make you happy to play the account before you begin. Without that rule, every acceptable result can feel inadequate and the reroll loop has no natural end.
Check the live banner before starting
Reroll advice expires quickly because the available pool, pickup targets and event guarantees change. Use the summon notice for your own region and date, not an old tier list, forum post or past event. The current regional notice titled Summon Chance (Hero & Equipment) 2026/09/15, updated September 14, 2026 for EU, NA, OC and LA, lists a 2.75% aggregate appearance rate for 3-star heroes on the guaranteed unique-hero summon. The rate for an individual hero depends on the pool listed in that notice.

That figure is a pool-level rate, not a promise that one particular hero will appear in every set of pulls. A banner can include several eligible 3-star heroes, so identify the exact pool and pickup rules before deciding that a reroll is worthwhile.
Story gates can change who is eligible
The same regional notice says that White Beast becomes obtainable after clearing its World 1-4 quest. Fei and Mei become eligible for summoning after World 5. If your intended target is affected by one of these conditions, an opening pull made before the required story progress cannot be judged as though the full later pool were already available.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →These gates also change the practical meaning of a reroll. You may need to advance the account before evaluating a target, and a hero that cannot appear at the beginning is not a valid reason to discard an account for failing to pull it immediately.
Guarantees are account-building context, not a reroll promise
Every 10x hero summon guarantees at least one 2-star-or-above hero. Equipment summons have a separate guarantee: every 10x equipment summon includes at least one 4-star-or-above piece. The exact equipment pool and rates are those in the current regional notice and can change.
These guarantees make a batch of summons more predictable, but they do not guarantee a unique hero, a particular weapon or a complete team. Treat them as part of the value of continuing an account rather than as a reason to repeat resets until a specific outcome appears.

A safe reroll procedure
The exact current account-reset sequence is not confirmed by an official source. Do not assume that deleting app data, uninstalling the game or using one platform’s guest menu works identically on iOS, Android and Switch. The client may label guest, account, data or platform options differently, and a reset may not be immediate.
Recommended Free Tools
- Choose a target and a stop condition. Write down the hero, weapon or team start you are willing to build. Also write the minimum result that would make you keep the account, such as a suitable unique hero or a combination that fits your planned play.
- Check the current regional summon notice. Confirm that the target is in the live pool, identify any story requirement, and read whether the banner is a pickup, guaranteed unique-hero summon, equipment summon or event-only offer.
- Start without binding the account if the client offers a guest route. A current third-party guide result describes a guest-account approach, but that page could not be inspected and is not verified official procedure. Use the live client’s own guest and account settings, and note whether the guest account can be recovered before you spend time on it.
- Complete the opening tutorial and required story steps. Proceed only far enough to unlock the starting summons and any rewards you can claim at that point. Do not infer that every platform grants the same currency or follows the same timing.
- Spend the available starting summons according to your target. Record which banner you used, whether the result came from a hero or equipment summon, and whether story progress changed the eligible pool.
- Evaluate the account against your written rule. Keep it if the result is a start you are willing to develop. Discard it only when it fails a meaningful requirement, not because another account might be marginally better.
- If you discard it, open the current account or guest settings and follow the reset option shown there. Verify what will be removed, whether the guest account is still recoverable, and whether the platform requires a wait or a separate sign-out. Do not promise yourself that deleting local data will reset a server-side account.
- Bind a kept account only after checking the result. Confirm the platform account, login method and recovery details before leaving the guest state. Binding too early can make a later reset confusing or impossible.
Keep a simple record of each attempt: target, banner, story progress, result and reason for discarding. This prevents repeating the same account state and makes it easier to recognize when the next reset is chasing a small improvement rather than correcting a real mismatch.
How to decide whether a reroll is worth another attempt
Use the following questions in order. They separate reasons that justify a reset from reasons that usually do not.
Is the target actually available now?
If the hero is absent from the current regional pool, rerolling cannot solve the problem. Check whether the target is story-gated, event-limited, collaboration-only or excluded from the banner you are using. An old guarantee or a past pickup is not current advice.
Would missing the target change how you play?
Reroll for a clear preference: a hero whose role, element, weapon or team interaction is central to your planned play. Do not reroll merely because a tier list ranks another opening slightly higher. Tier lists age, and they often assume a particular mode, roster or investment level.
Can another system provide the target later?
Official system notes describe selectable summons in which you choose five heroes or five epic exclusive-equipment items. When a qualifying summon succeeds, the result is selected from those choices. The same notes describe pickup tickets that can be exchanged at 200 tickets for a featured unique hero or featured exclusive equipment.

The notes also planned for new heroes and equipment to enter normal mileage, dream evolution stone prizes and selectable summons six weeks after release, with exceptions for unreleased, event, collaboration and ascent cases. These are structural alternatives to restarting, but the current game rules should be checked before relying on a particular addition or timetable.
How much progress would another reset erase?
An account that has already cleared story content, collected rewards or developed a team has value beyond its first summon screen. Compare the progress you would delete with the improvement you expect from another attempt. If the target is obtainable through a selectable summon, ticket exchange or later pool addition, continuing may be the faster route to a complete account.
Current summon systems that reduce reroll pressure
| System or rule | What it provides | How it affects rerolling |
|---|---|---|
| Guaranteed unique-hero summon | 2.75% aggregate appearance rate for 3-star heroes in the EU/NA/OC/LA notice updated September 14, 2026; individual rates depend on the listed pool | Check the exact pool before deciding whether a target can appear |
| 10x hero summon | At least one 2-star-or-above hero | Provides a floor for a batch, but not a particular unique hero |
| 10x equipment summon | At least one 4-star-or-above equipment piece | Useful account value, but the eligible equipment and rates depend on the live notice |
| Selectable summon | Five chosen heroes or five chosen epic exclusive-equipment items; a qualifying result selects from those choices | Can replace some reasons to restart, subject to current rules and eligibility |
| Pickup-ticket exchange | 200 tickets for a featured unique hero or featured exclusive equipment | Offers a later acquisition route rather than requiring a perfect opening |
| Planned post-release additions | New additions were planned for normal mileage, dream evolution stone prizes and selectable summons six weeks after release, with stated exceptions | Do not assume a new or limited unit follows this timetable |
These systems do not make every opening equal. They change the threshold for restarting: if your account is functional and your target has a realistic later route, the cost of deleting progress may outweigh the benefit of another opening roll.
What not to treat as a standing beginner guarantee
An official February 2026 step-up event guaranteed one existing unique hero with Myth unlocked within 30 summons, prioritized unowned heroes for unique-hero summons, and required paid gems. That was a dated event with its own conditions, not a permanent new-player guarantee.

Use event notices as historical examples of what the game can offer, not as promises for a new account today. Before spending or resetting, read the active event’s dates, currency requirement, eligible heroes and whether the offer is available to your account type.
When to stop rerolling
Stop when the account has a result you are willing to develop and the next reset would be seeking a marginal improvement rather than fixing a clear mismatch. This is an editorial decision rule, not an official game threshold.
Keep the account when these conditions are true
- Your target was available and you obtained a hero, equipment piece or team start that supports your intended play.
- The account can begin story progression without depending on another specific pull.
- Your remaining concern can be addressed by a selectable summon, pickup-ticket exchange, normal mileage or a later eligible pool.
- You have already invested meaningful story progress or resources and the expected improvement is small.
Consider one more reroll when these conditions are true
- The target was in the live pool, but the opening gives you no result you are willing to build.
- Your planned play depends on a particular hero or weapon and the account lacks any workable substitute.
- You have not bound the account and can verify the current platform reset path without risking the account you might want to keep.
- You can state exactly what result would end the process on the next attempt.
If you cannot name the result that would make you stop, do not start another cycle. The process will continue even after you have a perfectly serviceable account.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsReset stones are not a substitute for rerolling
Guardian Tales has reset items, but they are scarce and limited. They are useful for correcting some development decisions after you commit to an account, not for making every early investment reversible.

Hero Reset Stone
The official support instructions say a Hero Reset Stone works only on heroes at grade 4 or higher. For unique heroes, it returns the listed resources. For common and rare heroes, it returns only Hero Crystals. The item is generally obtainable only once outside special events.
Awakening Reset Stone
An Awakening Reset Stone returns awakening stones but not gold. It therefore cannot refund every cost associated with developing a hero, and it should not be treated as an unlimited redo button.
Because these items have eligibility and refund limits, choose the opening you are prepared to develop instead of assuming a later reset will erase every mistake.
Platform and account-safety cautions
- Do not bind before evaluating. A bound account may follow different recovery and reset rules from a guest account.
- Do not assume app deletion equals account deletion. Server data, platform credentials and local data can be handled separately.
- Verify the live labels. Use the account, guest and data-management options currently displayed in the client rather than copying button names from an older guide.
- Check the platform before repeating. iOS, Android and Switch may expose different account controls or timing.
- Protect a keeper immediately. Once you decide to continue, bind and record the recovery method shown by the client.
The absence of a confirmed universal reset sequence is itself a reason to be cautious. A guide that promises an instant, identical reset on every platform is claiming more than the available evidence supports.
A practical reroll checklist
- Confirm your region and read the current hero and equipment summon notice.
- Write one target and one acceptable fallback before starting.
- Check whether story progress changes the target’s eligibility.
- Use a guest route only if the live client offers and explains it.
- Complete the tutorial and required steps without binding the account.
- Spend the available summons and record the banner used.
- Keep the account if it meets your written stop rule.
- If it fails, inspect the live account or guest settings and verify what the reset will delete.
- Bind a kept account and stop once the result is good enough to develop.
Bottom line for new players
The best reroll is not the account with the rarest possible opening; it is the first account that gives you a direction you are happy to play. Current rates, story gates and event rules must be checked in your region, while selectable summons and 200-ticket exchanges provide alternatives to restarting. Reset only for a specific, currently obtainable target that matters to your play, and stop as soon as the account clears that standard.
