Use YouTube’s Live Redirect feature: in YouTube Studio, open the source stream’s settings, choose a Premiere or eligible livestream as the destination, then end the source stream to hand viewers over. The sender needs more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes, and the destination channel must permit the redirect.
Set up Live Redirect in YouTube Studio

Open YouTube Studio and go to Content > Live.

Choose the source livestream, then click Edit.

Open Customization > Redirect > Add.

Select a Premiere or search for an eligible livestream on another channel. For a cross-channel destination, that channel must allow your channel to redirect viewers to its content.

Save the setting. When you end the source livestream, YouTube shows a confirmation that viewers will be redirected; confirm to proceed.
The redirect is attached to the source stream and takes effect when that stream ends. It is not an immediate midstream switch or an arbitrary URL redirect. The documented destinations are YouTube Premieres and eligible YouTube livestreams.

Check eligibility and destination permissions
Requirements for the sending channel
YouTube Help states that a channel needs more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes to send Live Redirects. This threshold is an eligibility condition, not a guarantee that every possible destination will appear in the selector.
Permission from the receiving channel
The recipient controls which channels can redirect viewers to its content. In its YouTube Studio settings, it can allow channels it subscribes to, allow all channels, or manually approve selected channels. YouTube says allowing subscribed channels is the default unless the recipient’s subscriptions are private. A manual allowlist can contain up to 100 channels. The “all channels” option cannot be combined with the subscribed-channel or manual-list options.

Channels of any size may receive a redirect, according to YouTube’s TeamYouTube announcement; the more-than-1,000-subscriber threshold applies to sending. If a desired channel does not appear, ask its owner to review the permission setting and confirm the destination is an eligible Premiere or livestream.
Choose the right destination and prepare viewers
Your own Premiere
A Premiere is useful when the follow-on event is planned and you control the destination. YouTube recommends setting it up before the livestream. On the Premiere watch page, pin a live-chat message that tells arriving viewers what to watch or do next.

Another channel’s livestream
This is suitable for a coordinated event with another creator, but the recipient must grant permission and the destination must be available to select. Agree on timing and tell viewers where they are going before the source broadcast ends.
Tell viewers what to expect
YouTube describes autoplay moving viewers to the selected Premiere or livestream after the source ends. Viewers who have autoplay turned off may need to click Play themselves, so do not promise that every viewer will switch automatically. YouTube also recommends asking viewers to wait a few seconds after the source ends while their screens reload.

Format limitation: vertical live feeds
YouTube’s live-stream feature comparison lists Live Redirect as supported for horizontal live streams and unavailable for vertical live feeds. If a handoff is essential, plan the source broadcast in horizontal format and check YouTube’s current live-stream feature comparison before scheduling, since platform support can change.

The redirect option or destination is unavailable: confirm the sending channel meets YouTube’s eligibility requirements, then ask the recipient to allow your channel. Check that the destination is a Premiere or eligible livestream, not an external URL.

The receiving channel cannot find the permission setting: have its owner check YouTube Studio’s redirect permissions and whether subscriptions are private. The available choices are subscribed channels, all channels, or a manually approved list; “all channels” is exclusive of the other two choices.

Viewers remain on the source or do not arrive immediately: the handoff occurs when the source ends, not while it is still live. Ask viewers to wait briefly for the screen to reload; viewers with autoplay disabled may have to press Play.

The source is vertical: YouTube’s comparison currently marks Live Redirect unavailable for vertical live feeds. Use a horizontal source if the redirect is required.
