To loop Telugu devotional videos on YouTube Live, first confirm you have permission to stream every song, performance, image, and video segment. Then prepare and test the files, set up a looping source in OBS, connect OBS to a YouTube stream using its stream URL and key, and monitor the broadcast. For a single video, use OBS Media Source with Loop; for several videos, use VLC Video with Loop Playlist. A loop setting repeats media—it does not guarantee that a 24/7 broadcast will stay online.

Prepare the Telugu devotional videos

Put the finished files in a stable folder on the computer that will run OBS. Use clear filenames and, for a playlist, arrange them in the order you want viewers to hear them. Before building the scene, play each file and check both picture and sound, including the start and end. This helps catch missing audio, an unintended silent gap, a black frame, or a file that does not play as expected.

There is no Telugu-specific export preset established for this workflow. Choose settings appropriate to the source material and your channel; do not assume that a particular resolution or bitrate is required. OBS documents its media-source controls, but the choice of export settings depends on the files and streaming setup.

Check permissions before going live

Confirm that you have permission for all included recordings, songs, performances, images, and video segments for live transmission and, if applicable, an on-demand copy. A devotional or religious purpose does not by itself establish those rights. The permissions needed can depend on the material and jurisdiction; this guide does not determine whether a particular license is sufficient.

Choose how OBS should repeat the video

Source setup Use it for What to know
OBS Media Source with Loop One local video file Repeats that file; it is not a playlist control.
OBS VLC Video with Loop Playlist Several local files in a chosen order VLC must be installed for the source to appear in OBS.

OBS documents Media Source and VLC Video looping controls, with VLC Video available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. See the OBS Media Sources guide for the source options and platform details.

Loop one file

  1. In OBS, select the scene that will carry the broadcast.
  2. In the Sources panel, select + and add a Media Source.
  3. Name the source, select the local video file, and enable Loop.
  4. Confirm the source is visible in the scene and that its audio reaches the OBS mixer.

Loop a playlist

  1. Install VLC if it is not already installed; OBS needs it for the VLC Video source.
  2. In the desired OBS scene, select + in Sources and add VLC Video.
  3. Add the video files to the source playlist in the order you want them played.
  4. Enable Loop Playlist, then check the scene preview and audio mixer.

Control names or their placement can vary by OBS version. If VLC Video is missing, first check that VLC is installed, then restart OBS and look for the source again.

Build the scene and test playback

Make the video fit the canvas as intended, and check that any overlays do not cover important text or imagery. Watch the preview through a file transition or loop boundary. Check the audio meters while the video plays and listen for clipping, abrupt cuts, silence, or an unexpected change in level.

OBS recommends completing its setup and running a short test before the first real broadcast. Its Quick Start Guide covers scene and audio setup. A test can reveal a source, framing, or sound problem before viewers encounter it.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live

  1. Enable live streaming ahead of time. YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the planned start time.
  2. Create or select the stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or select the broadcast.
  3. Copy the connection details. Get the stream URL and stream key from YouTube’s stream settings and enter them in OBS’s stream configuration.
  4. Protect the key. YouTube describes a stream key as similar to a password and address. Do not share it publicly. If it is compromised, use YouTube’s reset flow and update the encoder with the replacement key.
  5. Start the encoder and inspect YouTube’s preview. Confirm that the correct video and sound arrive in the Live Control Room before starting the public broadcast.

YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain creating a stream and connecting an encoder. Its live stream settings guidance covers the stream URL, key, and configuration.

What it takes to keep a stream running 24/7

Looping the source is only one part of continuous operation. With a local OBS setup, the computer, media files, power, and internet connection all need to remain available. An interruption in the source or connection may require attention and recovery. The official setup guidance explains connecting an encoder; it does not promise uninterrupted availability for a continuous broadcast.

If you want to keep the process local, ensure the machine will not sleep or restart unexpectedly and that the media folder will remain accessible.

Plan separately for the recording

YouTube’s encoder help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That guidance does not establish that one continuous stream longer than 12 hours will yield a complete archive. If you need a full recording, plan for local recording or appropriately shorter broadcasts, and verify YouTube’s current workflow before relying on an archive.

Troubleshoot common loop and stream problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check
VLC Video is not available in OBS VLC is not installed or OBS has not detected it. Install VLC, restart OBS, and check the Sources add menu again.
Video plays once and stops The relevant loop option is off. For one file, check Loop in Media Source; for a playlist, check Loop Playlist in VLC Video.
Picture appears but sound does not The file may lack an audible track, or the source/mixer may not be configured as expected. Play the file outside OBS, then check the OBS audio meters and listen during a test.
OBS preview is correct but YouTube shows no incoming video The stream URL or key may be wrong, or the encoder may not be connected. Recheck the values in YouTube Studio and OBS. If the key was exposed, reset it in YouTube and replace it in OBS.
Broadcast stops during an intended 24/7 run The encoder machine, power, network, or media path may have become unavailable. Check the machine and connection, confirm the source files are accessible, then reconnect the encoder and verify YouTube’s preview.
Expected full archive is missing or incomplete The broadcast exceeded the under-12-hour scope of YouTube’s automatic-archive guidance. For future broadcasts, use local recording or shorter sessions if a complete recording is important, and verify the current YouTube process.
