Hush is VALORANT’s upcoming ninth Duelist, scheduled for October 27, 2026. Her entry pattern is built around Flow, which propels her to an anchor, rather than a conventional instant dash. She combines that movement with a redirectable flash, a pull-and-concuss ability, and an ultimate that can suspend several players at once.
The practical plan is simple: use a controller’s smoke or a teammate’s flash to reduce the first sightline, redirect Flashbulb or Displacement into the defender’s position, then activate Flow to cross the gap. After the duel, Telekinesis lets Hush recover a dropped weapon or the Spike from farther away. Exact ranges, costs, cooldowns, and balance values remain subject to Riot’s live release notes.

Release date and current status
Riot’s October 18, 2026 update lists Hush’s agent trailer and places the new Duelist in Season 26, Act VI. A detailed abilities guide published the same day gives October 27, 2026 as the release date. Until that date, treat demonstrations and descriptions as pre-release information: the live client and Riot’s patch notes are the authority for final numbers and interactions.

What kind of Duelist is Hush?
Hush is a space-making Duelist with unusually strong setup flexibility. Flow provides the actual crossing tool, while Flashbulb and Displacement manipulate where defenders can safely look or stand. That makes her most effective when a teammate supplies timing: a smoke hides the departure, a flash forces defenders to turn, or a rifle swing punishes a target pulled into the open.
She is not designed around one automatic combo. Riot’s quoted design description is, “There’s a lot of room to make Hush feel like your own.” In practice, you choose between a safe first contact, a pull-and-swing, a flash-led entry, or an ultimate execute based on the site geometry and the positions your team has already revealed.
Hush’s abilities explained
Telekinesis (passive)
Telekinesis increases the distance from which Hush can pick up dropped weapons and the Spike and interact with switches. The documented example is specific: Hush can retrieve a gun from the default plant on Split A while standing in A Main. That turns a normally exposed recovery into a possible off-angle action.
Telekinesis does not let Hush take a weapon directly from an enemy’s hands. It applies to objects that are already on the ground and to interactable switches. Use it after a first duel, when a rifle or the Spike lies near the angle that just killed a teammate, rather than walking back into that angle to collect it.
Displacement (E)
Equip Displacement and fire to throw it. Alternate fire prepares the ability instead. After a thrown cast, reactivate it to direct the effect toward your crosshair. It explodes on impact or after a delay, pulling players toward its center. A player who hits a surface or another player is concussed by the resulting collision.
The ability resets every two kills, according to the pre-release guide. That reset makes multi-kill rounds important: do not spend a refreshed charge merely to clear an empty corner if the next fight is likely to start immediately.

- Against a single anchor: place the effect near the defender’s cover, then redirect it once the defender settles into the angle.
- Against a stacked site: pull defenders toward a common center so a teammate’s flash or rifle burst can cover more than one target.
- For entry: coordinate the swing with the pull or the concuss impact; the ability itself does not guarantee a kill.
Flashbulb (Q)
Flashbulb uses the same throw-or-prepare structure. A thrown Flashbulb can be redirected toward the crosshair after reactivation, and it flashes players who are looking at it. A prepared cast gives you predictable timing; a thrown cast gives you the option to bend the final line around cover or adjust it after defenders move.
Use the flash to make Flow safer, not as a substitute for communication. Tell the entry partner when the flash is leaving and which side of the choke you intend to take. If the flash is aimed at head level and the partner swings on the same beat, defenders must either turn away or accept a disadvantaged duel.
Flow (C)
Flow instantly creates an anchor. If Hush is airborne, she briefly levitates in place; after a delay, she propels toward the anchor. The guide describes it as a direct jump that requires no setup beyond aiming the anchor, making it Hush’s primary space-making movement.
Place the anchor at a landing point that clears the first exposed angle, not at the deepest possible location. A shorter, repeatable jump that lands behind a box or inside a smoke is usually more useful than a spectacular landing that exposes Hush to three guns. The documented behavior does not establish invulnerability, so do not treat the brief levitation or travel delay as protection from bullets.
Suspension (ultimate)
Suspension prepares a forward projectile that can be steered with the crosshair. Reactivation or another fire input detonates it, levitating every player in the area. The pre-release source reports that caught players do not appear able to shoot while suspended; verify that behavior against the live client after release because it is not a final published damage or duration value.
For an execute, steer Suspension toward a site anchor or a retake lane, wait until several defenders are committed, and detonate when they cannot easily escape the area. Rifle teammates should swing during the levitation window. Firing the ultimate at the first defender you see wastes its strongest feature: creating a shared, coordinated kill window.

How to enter a site with Hush
- Identify the first sightline. Before the round begins, decide which angle can kill Hush before she reaches cover. Mark the landing point that removes that angle and the teammate responsible for trading.
- Ask for the necessary cover. A controller smoke, a teammate’s flash, or both should overlap the crossing route. Flow creates movement, but it does not replace vision denial.
- Choose a prepared or thrown utility cast. Use a prepared Flashbulb when timing must be exact. Use a thrown cast when you need to redirect around a wall or adjust to a moving defender. Make the same choice with Displacement based on whether the defender’s final position is known.
- Give a clear trigger. Call “flash,” “pull,” or “jump” so the rifle player can swing on the effect instead of guessing. Hush’s utility is strongest when another gun arrives at the same moment.
- Set the Flow anchor. Aim for cover that clears the first exposed angle and leaves a playable landing. Avoid anchoring behind an enemy you cannot isolate; landing deep without a trade often turns movement into an isolated death.
- Take the first duel, then stop overextending. Once space is won, plant, clear the next close corner with teammates, or hold the trade. Hush’s kit creates access; it does not require her to chase every defender into spawn-side territory.
- Recover safely. If a rifle or the Spike is outside normal pickup distance, check whether Telekinesis can retrieve it from your current cover before exposing yourself again.
Reliable Hush combos
Smoke, Flashbulb, and Flow: safe first contact
Have the controller smoke the first sightline. Throw Flashbulb, redirect it toward the expected head level, and activate Flow as the flash reaches the defender. The smoke removes the long angle, the flash punishes anyone watching the choke, and Flow carries Hush across the remaining gap. This sequence is strongest when a teammate swings beside or immediately after Hush rather than waiting for visual confirmation.
Displacement and teammate swing
Throw Displacement toward a common anchor, then redirect it after defenders settle. Swing with a teammate as the pull or the resulting concuss lands. The goal is not to pull a target a specific distance—pre-release numbers are not final—but to make the defender’s position predictable long enough for two rifles to challenge it.
Displacement into Flashbulb
Use Displacement to force a defender out of cover or toward the center, then send Flashbulb along the exit line. This is a timing drill rather than a guaranteed chain: the second utility must arrive before the defender regains a useful angle. Practice the pair in custom games so the player throwing the flash knows which escape route the pull is intended to close.
Flow with a redirectable flash
When Hush must cross a narrow choke, throw Flashbulb first and reactivate it toward the defenders’ side. Activate Flow as the flash pops. This lets Hush take space while defenders are looking away, but the landing still needs a trade. If the anchor is visible to a second angle, ask for another smoke or choose a shallower landing.
Suspension execute
Steer Suspension into a packed site or a retake lane. Detonate only when defenders are committed or when your team has blocked their easiest exits. Have rifle players swing during the levitation window and focus the same target before spreading damage. Because the inability-to-shoot behavior is source-reported and pre-release, build a backup plan—such as a normal flash-and-swing—in case the live version allows limited counterplay.
Using Hush on attack
Opening a defended choke
Hush should be the first body across the dangerous line only when the team has supplied a trade. A good call includes the route, the Flow landing, and the follow-up: for example, “smoke main, flash right side, jump behind the box, trade me.” This prevents the common failure where Hush travels successfully but arrives alone.

Taking space after the first kill
Displacement’s two-kill reset rewards disciplined fights. After the first kill, check whether the refreshed charge can remove the next anchor before using it. If defenders are rotating, save the charge for the retake path or for the plant site rather than throwing it into empty space.

Telekinesis is especially valuable after the plant. Hush can remain behind cover while retrieving the Spike if it is dropped near a dangerous line, and she can collect a rifle without repeating the same peek. Do not assume the passive reaches through walls or can override an enemy’s possession; use it only for ground objects and switches as documented.
Using Hush on defense and retakes
Early-round information
On defense, Flow is better reserved for a controlled off-angle or a retake route than for an unplanned solo jump. Anchor to a position that lets Hush disengage behind cover after contact. Displacement can pull an attacker off a choke once the team has confirmed the hit, while Flashbulb can deny a synchronized swing.
Retake timing
Retakes give Hush the concentrated targets her kit prefers. Wait for teammates to arrive, then use Displacement or Flashbulb to break the first crossfire and Flow into the cleared side of the site. Suspension is strongest when attackers are grouped around the plant and cannot all retreat; call the detonation so every rifle is ready before the targets are levitated.
Recovering a dropped weapon
If a defender dies near the site entrance, Telekinesis may let Hush pull the rifle to herself while remaining behind a safer piece of cover. This is a recovery tool, not permission to ignore the enemy’s crosshair: the object still has to be on the ground and within the passive’s final live range.

Choosing Hush over a conventional entry Duelist
Hush should be evaluated by the job your round needs, not by a presumed ranking. Her movement is anchor-based and delayed, so it is less about an instant escape and more about selecting a landing that teammates can support. Her utility can create a killable target through a pull, concuss, flash, or suspension, but several sequences depend on another player’s timing.

Common mistakes and fixes
Jumping without a trade
Symptom: Flow reaches the site but Hush dies before a teammate appears. Fix: announce the anchor and wait for the flash, smoke, or swing trigger. A shorter landing with immediate support is preferable to a deeper solo jump.
Treating Flow as invulnerability
Symptom: Hush levitates in an exposed lane and assumes the delay protects her. Fix: use cover and vision denial; the documented movement description does not grant immunity.
Using Displacement at the first empty corner
Symptom: the pull is spent before defenders reveal their setup. Fix: hold the cast until an anchor is occupied, or use it to coordinate a known swing. Its reset every two kills makes each charge more valuable in multi-fight rounds.

Symptom: Hush and the trading rifle both turn away while the defender keeps the angle. Fix: communicate the side and height of the redirect, and use prepared timing when the team cannot react to a late adjustment.
Detonating Suspension too early
Symptom: one defender is suspended while the rest escape. Fix: wait for a committed group or a blocked retake lane, then call the swing before detonation.
Re-peeking for a dropped rifle
Symptom: Hush walks back into the angle that just produced the kill. Fix: test Telekinesis from cover first; the passive is intended to change recovery positioning.
Practice plan before taking Hush into ranked play
- In a custom game, mark the first exposed angle on each site and place Flow anchors that land behind cover rather than in the open.
- Repeat Flashbulb from the same choke in prepared mode, then in thrown mode, measuring how much crosshair adjustment is needed after reactivation.
- Practice Displacement against a stationary teammate: throw, let the target settle, redirect, and swing on the pull. Repeat with the target moving toward a wall so you can recognize the concuss collision.
- Run the flash-plus-Flow sequence with a partner who calls the exact swing timing. If the partner cannot see the pop, the call is incomplete.
- Use Suspension only after the team can identify the retake lane or site pocket that will hold multiple players. Add a backup rifle swing for the possibility that final live behavior differs from the pre-release demonstration.
- Practice Telekinesis on dropped weapons and the Spike from both sides of cover, including the Split A default-to-A Main example, so recovery becomes an intentional decision instead of a panic input.
What may change at launch
The pre-release material establishes the shape of Hush’s kit, not its final balance. Confirm the following in Riot’s October 27, 2026 release notes or the live client before relying on a lineup:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Telekinesis pickup and switch-interaction range.
- Displacement and Flashbulb travel distance, delay, radius, charges, and reset details.
- How long Displacement’s pull and concuss effects last and which surfaces trigger the collision.
- Flow’s levitation delay, travel distance, landing rules, and whether any interaction changes during movement.
- Suspension’s projectile range, area, levitation duration, escape options, and whether suspended players truly cannot shoot.
- Credit costs, ultimate points, and any map-specific or object-specific exceptions.
Until those values are published, use Hush’s tactical principles—cover the departure, choose a tradeable anchor, redirect utility after defenders commit, and recover objects from safety—rather than memorizing numbers that may not survive launch.
