Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is a Nintendo Switch game that Nintendo lists as compatible with Switch 2. GamesRadar reported that the Switch demo runs at 60 fps on Switch 2, but that is a report about the demo—not a published guarantee for the full game. Konami’s official specification lists the Nintendo Switch version at 30 fps.
Does Belmont’s Curse run at 60 fps on Switch 2?
There is no special Switch 2 edition or documented frame-rate setting to enable. Nintendo lists the game as Nintendo Switch software and marks it “Supported” on Switch 2, with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. That confirms compatibility, not a native Switch 2 version or a 60 fps mode.
Konami’s product page gives the general frame-rate specification as “60 fps (Nintendo Switch™: 30 fps).” Its demo page repeats that specification for the demo. GamesRadar separately reported that the Switch demo runs at 60 fps when played on Switch 2. Taken together, the evidence supports trying the demo on Switch 2 for the reported 60 fps behavior; it does not establish that the final game will run at 60 fps there.

How to try the Switch 2 demo
- Open the official Belmont’s Curse demo page and follow its Nintendo Switch download option.
- Play the demo on Switch 2 using Nintendo Switch compatibility. No separate Switch 2 version or selectable frame-rate control is documented.
- Judge the demo’s performance on your own system. The 60 fps result is reported behavior; the sources do not promise a stable frame rate, a particular resolution, or identical results in handheld and TV modes.
The demo contains the opening chapter. Konami notes that some content or features may be restricted in the demo.

Can demo progress transfer to the full game?
Konami says demo save data can transfer to the full version if you meet all of these conditions:
- Use the same platform and account for the demo and full game.
- Keep the demo save data on the system.
- Update the full game to its latest version before transferring.
These conditions matter if you intend to continue your demo progress in the full game; the transfer is not described as cross-platform.

Release date, editions, and storage
Konami and Nintendo list the full game’s release date as October 15, 2026. Konami lists a digital Standard Edition and a physical or digital Midnight Edition. The Midnight Edition includes the main game, a separate Digital Sound & Art Gallery application, and three in-game bonuses.
- Estimated full-game size: Nintendo’s US store listing says 4.2 GB for both Switch and Switch 2. Nintendo cautions that preorder listing details may not be final, so treat this as an estimate rather than a final storage requirement.
- Demo capacity: Konami lists a minimum capacity of 3 GB for the Nintendo Switch demo.
Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes for this single-player game. Konami’s US product page lists Japanese and English audio, with text in Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.

What kind of game is Belmont’s Curse?
Konami describes Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse as a 2D action-exploration game developed by KONAMI and Evil Empire, with advisory help from Motion Twin. Its story is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Rose Belmont, Trevor Belmont’s daughter, explores the city and Dracula’s castle with the Vampire Killer whip.
Nintendo’s description highlights whip-based movement, combat, bosses, Arcana abilities, weapons across seven categories, and relics that affect offense and defense. These are official descriptions, not a performance or hands-on assessment.

What to expect if you want 60 fps
If 60 fps is essential, the Switch 2 demo is the only Switch-specific route supported by the reported evidence: GamesRadar says that demo runs at 60 fps on Switch 2. Konami’s published figure for Nintendo Switch is 30 fps, and the full game’s Switch 2 performance is not confirmed by the cited official listings. Do not rely on a settings toggle, docked-versus-handheld difference, or future patch to change that; none is established in these sources.
