Intel’s graphics-overclocking guidance limits the feature to specifically listed processors, and the B950 is not on that list. Its published 650–1100 MHz graphics range is the normal operating range, not a user-adjustable overclocking target.
What the Pentium B950 includes
The B950 is a mobile Sandy Bridge processor with two cores, two threads, a reported 2.1 GHz CPU clock and a 35 W TDP. Its graphics is the processor-integrated Intel HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge), not a separate graphics card.

These specifications are reported by Notebookcheck. The unnumbered “Intel HD Graphics” name was used for Sandy Bridge Pentium and Celeron parts; it does not indicate that the graphics can be overclocked. See the historical explanation from Intel Community.
Why the 650–1100 MHz figure is not an overclocking recipe
The 650 MHz base and 1100 MHz upper figure describe the documented graphics operating range. They do not establish that software, a BIOS menu or a modified firmware can raise the B950 above 1100 MHz. No reliable B950-specific source establishes a stable target frequency, voltage, expected performance gain or safe BIOS procedure.

Intel’s overclocking support position
Intel’s Overclocking Intel Graphics guidance names the processors eligible for graphics-frequency overclocking and states that other Intel processors are not capable of the supported feature. The B950 is absent from that eligibility list.

Intel also warns that graphics overclocking can cause damage and may void warranty coverage. Those warnings apply even more strongly when attempting an undocumented laptop BIOS modification or forcing clocks with a third-party utility.
Could a laptop BIOS still offer a setting?
A particular notebook may expose an option labelled graphics clock, system-agent frequency or similar, but the processor name alone cannot predict that. Laptop firmware, power limits and cooling are model-specific. Finding a menu does not make the B950 an Intel-supported graphics-overclocking part, and changing an undocumented value can prevent the notebook from booting or cause overheating.

Before considering any BIOS or hardware decision, identify the notebook’s exact make, model and firmware version. A valid upgrade or replacement requires that model’s service documentation and supported-processor list; it cannot be inferred from “B950” alone.
Safer ways to improve graphics performance
These steps do not unlock an overclock, but they can avoid preventable performance loss while remaining within documented limits:

- Use the notebook on AC power and select its normal high-performance power profile when available.
- Install the graphics driver supplied for the exact notebook model or operating system; avoid generic packages that the manufacturer does not support.
- Reduce game resolution and effects such as shadows, anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion. Integrated Sandy Bridge graphics has limited memory bandwidth, so these settings often matter more than a small clock change.
- Check for dust-blocked vents, a failing fan or unusually high temperatures. Clean and service the cooling system according to the laptop maker’s instructions rather than increasing voltage or clock speed.
- Close background tasks that compete for CPU time and shared system memory.
Any accessory or tuning program should be judged by whether it fits the exact laptop, its thermal and power headroom, and its risk—not as a way to bypass Intel’s eligibility limits.

Do not treat the 650–1100 MHz specification as permission to raise the IGP clock. The Pentium B950 has no documented, Intel-supported graphics-overclocking method. Keep the integrated graphics within its published specifications; for a meaningful graphics upgrade, investigate a different laptop or a processor/platform explicitly supported by the manufacturer.
