Treat the move from LiveReacting to Gyre as a rebuild unless Gyre confirms it can import your project. Make a record of each stream’s files, playlist order, YouTube channel, metadata, schedule and settings, then recreate and test it in Gyre before retiring the existing event. The available product documentation does not establish a direct importer or guarantee that an existing YouTube event URL can be retained.

What changes when you move from LiveReacting to Gyre?

Both services offer ways to schedule video broadcasts, but their documented setup workflows are separate. LiveReacting describes a project built around an ordered playlist, a connected channel, a run length and selected dates or recurrence. Gyre describes uploading files to Gyre Storage, arranging them in a playlist, connecting a YouTube destination and setting when a stream starts and ends.

Decision LiveReacting documentation Gyre documentation reviewed
Content setup Build a project with an ordered playlist; upload or import videos from listed sources. LiveReacting Upload files to Gyre Storage and arrange them into a playlist. Gyre
Loop behavior Playlists can loop; LiveReacting also distinguishes continuous 24/7 streams from scheduled runs. A playlist restarts from the beginning after its final file.
Timing The described scheduler uses the computer’s time zone and supports dates up to 30 days ahead and up to 50 repeat runs within 30 days. The Streams Scheduler offers start and end times. Equivalent recurrence limits are not established in the documentation reviewed.
YouTube connection Connect a channel or connect to an already scheduled YouTube event. A September 2026 update describes YouTube API channel authorization; manual stream-key setup is also available.
Plan availability Scheduling features vary by plan. The September 2026 update says scheduler access is available on trial, Start+ and PRO+, but not Start.

These are vendor-described workflows, not evidence of a transfer between services. Check the current options in your accounts: features, plan access and interface labels can change.

Before you migrate: make a stream-by-stream inventory

For every scheduled LiveReacting project, record the details needed to recreate it and to avoid sending viewers to the wrong event.

  • Video files, their playlist order and whether the playlist repeats.
  • Run length, selected dates, recurrence and the time zone shown by LiveReacting.
  • Overlays, scenes or other settings that matter to the broadcast.

Save the existing event details and promotional links. The documentation reviewed does not say whether Gyre can reuse, associate or replace an upcoming YouTube event URL. Keep the old event information until you have confirmed the new event’s URL and tested it.

Rebuild and schedule the stream in Gyre

  1. Upload the videos. Add the files for the stream to Gyre Storage. If Gyre flags a file for preparation or optimization, follow the account’s prompt before scheduling.
  2. Arrange the playlist. Put the videos in the order you recorded. Gyre’s documented playlist behavior is to restart from the beginning after the last file ends, so check both ends of the list and make sure that loop boundary is intentional.
  3. Connect the correct YouTube channel. The September 2026 Gyre update describes channel authorization through the YouTube API. Manual stream-key setup is also described as available. Use the connection method shown in your account and verify that it points to the intended channel.
  4. Set the schedule. In Gyre’s Streams Scheduler, choose a start time, an end time, or both. Re-enter each upcoming date deliberately; do not assume that a LiveReacting repeat setting or time-zone interpretation transfers to Gyre. Check the displayed time zone and the next scheduled run.
  5. Review the broadcast details. Confirm the destination channel, playlist order, loop behavior, title, description, thumbnail and schedule against your inventory.
  6. Run a controlled test or first scheduled event. Check that the expected broadcast appears on the channel, starts at the intended time, plays the right playlist and uses the intended event link. Update audience-facing links to point to the correct event.

Check schedule limits and plan access

LiveReacting’s described scheduling page reports dates up to 30 days ahead and up to 50 repeat runs within 30 days; it also says the displayed times use the computer’s time zone. Those are limits for the described LiveReacting workflow, not established Gyre limits. Gyre’s reviewed update describes start and end scheduling but does not establish identical recurrence rules or a matching time-zone policy. Verify the next run and any repeat behavior in Gyre before relying on a schedule.

Scheduling availability may depend on the plan. LiveReacting says features vary by plan. Gyre’s September 2026 update lists scheduler access on trial, Start+ and PRO+, but not Start. Confirm current plan access and terms in your account before moving broadcasts.

What to confirm with Gyre before switching audience links

The available setup materials do not establish a direct LiveReacting project or playlist import, or whether an existing YouTube event URL can be preserved. Ask Gyre support specifically whether it can import your project and how it handles already-promoted YouTube events. Until you have an answer, plan for a recreated playlist and a potentially different event URL.

Troubleshooting a migrated schedule

  • The wrong YouTube channel is connected: Check the channel shown in Gyre before starting the stream; reconnect or authorize the intended account if necessary.
  • The stream starts at an unexpected time: Compare the scheduled time and displayed time zone in Gyre with your intended local time. Do not carry over LiveReacting’s device-time-zone assumption.
  • The playlist plays in the wrong order: Reopen the Gyre playlist and compare its order with your inventory. Check the final item as well as the first, because the playlist restarts at the beginning.
  • The old event link no longer points to the intended broadcast: Verify the event URL in YouTube and replace audience-facing links if the Gyre setup uses a different event. Do not assume an old URL is retained.
  • The scheduler is unavailable: Check your Gyre plan and current in-account options. The September 2026 update lists trial, Start+ and PRO+ access, but plan details may change.
  • A video is flagged during upload: Follow Gyre’s file preparation or optimization prompt, then verify the resulting playlist item before scheduling.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is an always-on YouTube loop rather than scheduled events, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once and go live. It keeps the stream running without a computer, OBS or home connection staying on; uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month.
