What you need before setup
- Your email address and password.
- For Gmail, Outlook, or Hotmail, access to the provider’s sign-in and authorization prompts.
- For an unlisted provider, the current incoming (POP3 or IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server names, ports, and encryption requirements supplied by the provider, hosting company, or administrator.
- The myMail app on a supported iOS or Android smartphone. The Apple listing also describes iPhone and iPad support.
Add a Gmail, Outlook, or Hotmail account
These mainstream providers are documented as using OAuth: myMail hands the sign-in to the provider, then asks you to authorize access.
- Open myMail and tap the icon for your email provider.
- Complete the provider’s sign-in screen.
- Review and accept the access request for myMail.
- After authorization succeeds, myMail opens that account’s inbox.
If the authorization page does not finish, verify that you completed both the provider login and the access approval. The available guidance does not establish a universal recovery sequence for a failed or revoked authorization, so use the provider’s and myMail’s current support instructions if the flow remains stuck.
Add another mailbox
myMail supports adding multiple accounts. Start the account-add flow from the folder list, choose the provider, and complete its sign-in or configuration. The exact add-account button and its location can vary by app build, so use the current label shown in your version rather than relying on an older menu path.

Switch between email accounts
- Open the folder list.
- Select the mailbox name you want to view.
The unread-message count appears beside each mailbox name. myMail’s FAQ says the app permits an unlimited number of mailboxes; this is a vendor-stated capability, not an independently tested maximum.
Connect an unlisted or custom-domain account
Use the OTHER route
- Open myMail’s account-add flow.
- Choose OTHER instead of a listed provider.
- Enter the requested address and credentials.
- Let myMail attempt automatic configuration.
Enter provider-supplied server settings when needed
If automatic setup fails, obtain the exact incoming and outgoing configuration from your email provider, hosting company, or network administrator. You may be asked for:

- Incoming protocol: IMAP or POP3.
- Incoming server hostname and port.
- Outgoing SMTP server hostname and port.
- SSL/TLS or other encryption requirement.
- Whether the username is the full email address.
Do not copy generic port-and-encryption examples from another service. These values vary by provider, and the published myMail examples do not establish a universally reliable pairing of ports and SSL settings. Use the provider’s latest documentation.

- Mark a message unread.
- Flag it.
- Move it to another folder.
- Mark it as spam.
- Delete it.
Documented capabilities also include message search, search filters, contact suggestions, folder and account unread counts, and controls for notification timing or filtering. The Apple listing separately describes account-level notification controls. These are documented features, but screen layouts and control locations can change between releases.

The provider is not listed
Choose OTHER and request the provider’s current IMAP or POP3 and SMTP details. A custom domain may be hosted by a different company than the domain registrar, so ask the actual mail host or administrator.

Automatic setup fails
Recheck the hostname, protocol, port, encryption choice, username format, and password against the provider’s current instructions. Avoid guessing based on a similar account.
OAuth sign-in will not complete
Return to the provider sign-in, finish authentication, and accept myMail’s access prompt. If authorization was revoked or the flow continues to fail, consult current myMail or provider support because a single recovery path is not established for all accounts.

You need to remove an account
Platform-specific removal steps are not established in the available official guidance. Check the current in-app help or contact myMail support rather than following an outdated menu path.
Notifications or swipe actions look different
Check your app version’s notification and message-action controls. myMail documents filtering and swipe management, but their placement and labels may change.
