Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To manage DoorDash alerts, open the DoorDash app and go to Account > Notifications. Turn off the categories you do not want; consider leaving order-update push and SMS on while an order is active. These controls are separate from Siri and Android voice permissions, and DoorDash’s help guidance says Dasher direct messages may still reach you even if order-update preferences are off.
Change DoorDash notification preferences
- Open the DoorDash consumer app and tap Account.
- Scroll to Notifications.
- Select a notification type and use its switch to turn it on or off.
DoorDash’s US Help Center publishes this route for customer notification settings. Menu placement and available categories can vary by app version, region, account, and device, so labels may differ from these instructions. Choose which alerts to keep
DoorDash’s settings distinguish order-related updates from promotional and informational alerts. The company recommends keeping Order Updates Push and Order Updates SMS enabled because they convey order status and can alert you if a Dasher has trouble finding you. If you want less marketing noise, turn off unwanted offers, recommendations, reminders, or product news instead, where those options appear.
Turning off the order-update preferences does not necessarily stop all order communication: DoorDash says Dashers may still message you directly about an order and reply to your messages regardless of your opt-in status for Order Updates Push and Order Updates SMS. DoorDash Help Center

Stop promotional email or texts separately
In-app push preferences and marketing email or text subscriptions are separate controls. DoorDash’s US privacy policy says promotional emails and texts can be unsubscribed from through the mechanism in the message. Transactional, informational, or relationship communications may still be sent after opting out of marketing. The policy is labeled effective January 3, 2023, so consult the current policy for the latest legal wording. DoorDash US Privacy Policy
DoorDash alerts are not Siri or Android voice permissions
The DoorDash notification switches control DoorDash communication categories. They do not grant Siri authorization, Android Voice Access microphone access, or Google Assistant permission. Decide separately which app or system feature is requesting access and what you want it to do.

Siri on Apple devices
Apple’s documentation describes authorization for apps that implement Siri functionality: Siri cannot interact with an app or its extension until the user authorizes it, and the authorization can later be changed in Settings. This general permission guidance does not establish that the current DoorDash app offers Siri integration or requires Siri authorization. Apple Developer: Asking Permission to Use Siri
Voice Access and microphone permission on Android
Voice Access is an Android accessibility feature for spoken navigation and commands. Google’s setup instructions call for microphone permission and notification permission for its listening control. Those permissions enable Voice Access; they do not show that DoorDash needs microphone access to manage alerts. Google also explains that microphone permission is app-specific. Do not enable DoorDash microphone access just to change notification settings. Google: Set up Voice Access · Google Assistant permissions

Is a voice assistant integration required?
The official material cited here does not verify a current DoorDash integration with Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa for ordering or notification management. Treat availability as unverified, rather than assuming an integration exists or is required. You can manage DoorDash notification categories directly in the app without granting microphone access for that purpose.
