To loop one Marathi devotional recording on YouTube Live, add it to OBS as a Media Source and enable Loop. To cycle through several recordings, use an OBS VLC Video source, add the files to its playlist, and enable Loop Playlist. Then connect OBS to a YouTube encoder stream and check that you have permission to broadcast every recording and composition before going live.

Choose how the songs should repeat

What you want to play OBS source What to set
One audio or video file repeated Media Source Enable Loop.
Several recordings played in sequence, then repeated VLC Video Add the recordings to the playlist and enable Loop Playlist. Keep shuffle off to preserve your chosen order.

OBS Media Source supports common audio and video file formats. VLC must be installed for the VLC Video source to be available; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC. OBS documents playback repetition, but does not promise gapless transitions for every file or system, so test the playlist you intend to broadcast. OBS Media Sources

Prepare the recordings and confirm rights

Use files you have permission to broadcast. A song may involve separate rights in the particular recording and in the underlying composition, potentially managed by different rights holders. A permission for one use does not automatically cover a live broadcast, every territory, or an archived replay. Confirm the license scope for each recording and composition with the relevant rights holder before scheduling the stream. YouTube’s copyright guidance

YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content, including music rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other participants. This platform requirement does not establish whether a particular Marathi devotional song or recording is cleared. YouTube livestream terms

  • If you do not have the necessary rights, consider original music, material confirmed to be in the public domain, music used with permission, YouTube Audio Library tracks, Creator Music where available, or another licensed source.
  • Check the exact license for livestream and archive use. A “free” label or a credit in the description does not itself grant broadcast rights.
  • Ask the licensor whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist. A license alone may not prevent a live interruption.

YouTube’s suggested music sources are not a blanket clearance for every track or use; verify the terms for the specific recording and your intended broadcast. No particular Marathi devotional catalog or licensing provider is established here. YouTube tips to find safe music

Set up the loop in OBS

  1. Open or create your OBS scene. Use a scene that contains the audio or video source you want to send to YouTube.
  2. For one file, add a Media Source. In the Sources panel, select + and choose Media Source. Select the local recording, then turn on Loop in the source properties. The file should restart when playback reaches its end.
  3. For a sequence, add a VLC Video source. Select + in Sources and choose VLC Video. Add the recordings to its playlist, enable Loop Playlist, and leave shuffle off if you want a fixed order.
  4. Check the OBS output mix. Play the source and confirm that its audio is active in OBS’s audio mixer. If your video includes a picture, check that it appears in the scene preview as intended.
  5. Run a short test. Confirm the sound and picture in OBS before the public broadcast. Computer audio routing can vary, so verify the actual output rather than assuming the source is audible. OBS recommends testing before the first stream. OBS Quick Start Guide

Connect OBS to YouTube Live

  1. Check channel access. YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days. Check YouTube Studio for current eligibility and controls, since interface labels and account access can change. YouTube live streaming tips
  2. Create or select an encoder stream. In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create or select a stream configured for an encoder. This guide covers the encoder workflow; YouTube also offers mobile and webcam streaming options.
  3. Copy the stream URL and stream key into OBS. In OBS, open streaming settings and enter the URL and key shown for the YouTube stream. A stream key works like a password: do not share it or show it on screen. YouTube: Manage live stream settings
  4. Wait for the incoming preview. Check the Live Control Room preview and confirm that the expected image and sound arrive from OBS. Start the stream when ready.

Know what can interrupt the broadcast

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. Depending on the match, it may warn you, replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it if the match remains. YouTube says licensed third-party content can still interrupt a stream unless the rights owner adds the channel to its Content ID allowlist. An archived live stream may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends. Resolve licensing and allowlisting questions before the event rather than relying on a live warning as your first notice. YouTube: Copyright issues with live streams

Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check
The song stops after one play Looping is not enabled on the source. For one file, open Media Source properties and enable Loop. For a playlist, enable Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source.
VLC Video is missing from the source menu VLC may not be installed, or its architecture may not match OBS. Install VLC; use 64-bit VLC with 64-bit OBS.
The playlist order changes Shuffle is enabled. Turn shuffle off in the VLC playlist settings.
YouTube does not show an incoming preview The encoder connection may not be configured or sending correctly. Check the stream URL and key in OBS against the selected YouTube encoder stream, then look again at the Live Control Room preview.
The preview has no sound The source may not be reaching OBS’s output mix. Check that the source is playing and that its audio is active in the OBS mixer; confirm the sound in the YouTube preview before starting.
The live stream is warned, replaced, interrupted, or terminated YouTube may have detected third-party content, or the relevant rights owner may not have allowlisted the channel. Review the match and contact the rights holder about the license scope and any required allowlisting. Do not assume a license automatically prevents interruption.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you would rather not keep OBS and a computer running at home, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud loops the uploaded videos, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. YouTube only; StreamNeo plays uploaded videos, not a live camera feed. Make sure your recordings are cleared for broadcast before using either method. Start the free day on StreamNeo.
