Choose a watch face with a time display you can distinguish easily, then simplify its complications and adjust the display settings. If the face and display controls are not enough, increase text size or try magnification in Accessibility. The clearest setup depends on what you need to see and what is easiest for you to read.
Choose a face that makes the time stand out
On your Pixel Watch, touch and hold the current face, browse the available options, and select a face to preview it. Tap Edit to change its colors, style, or complication layout. You can also make these changes in the Pixel Watch app: open Watch faces, choose a face, then tap Use on watch or Edit. Google documents these face controls in its Pixel Watch face settings guide.
Compare candidate faces on your own watch rather than assuming one design works best for everyone. Check whether the time contrasts clearly with the background, whether the colors are easy for you to distinguish, and whether the text remains legible from your usual glance distance.
Reduce visual competition from complications
Complications are small information displays on a watch face, such as weather or step count. Keep only the details you genuinely want to see at a glance; removing less useful complications can make the time and essential information easier to pick out. In the face editor, choose a layout with fewer complication slots or replace individual complications with simpler options.

Adjust brightness and display text size
Wake the screen if it is dim, then swipe down from the top of the watch face and open Settings. Tap Display to find brightness, font size, and other display controls. These settings affect the watch display and interface, not just one face. Google describes the available controls in its display and watch-face instructions.
Use Accessibility if you need larger text or zoom
Increase font size
On the watch, open Settings > Accessibility > Font size and use the buttons or slider to enlarge text. The Pixel Watch app also provides a font-size control under Accessibility > Font size. Google says this changes text size across the watch interface; the face’s own time design may still depend on the face’s style and layout.

Enable magnification
Open Settings > Accessibility > Magnification and turn it on. Triple-tap the screen to magnify; drag with two fingers to pan, and pinch with two fingers to adjust zoom.
Try color correction
If colors are difficult to distinguish, open Settings > Accessibility > Color correction. Google lists Deuteranomaly and Protanomaly (both red-green) and Tritanomaly (blue-yellow). Choose the option that best fits your needs and check whether the face’s time and details are easier to differentiate.

After changing the face or display, look at the watch in the situations where you normally check it. Make sure the time is the first thing you notice, keep essential complications readable, and adjust again if a color, detail, or layout still blends into the background.
