A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11To loop a prerecorded Hindi product demo on YouTube Live, use FFmpeg’s input option -stream_loop -1, pace the file with -re, and send the encoded output to the RTMPS stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room. The loop works the same regardless of the video’s language. This delivers a prerecorded video as a live encoder feed; it is not a live, camera-based product demonstration.
Before you start
You need a finished video file, FFmpeg installed on a computer that can remain connected for the event, and a YouTube channel eligible to live stream. Use a video, music, voice track, and product claims that you have the rights to stream. YouTube’s setup guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days; it also states that users must be at least 16 to live stream. Check YouTube Help for the current eligibility wording: Get started with live streaming.
Check the file’s beginning and end before looping it. Repeating a file can repeat an abrupt visual jump, audio change, or spoken introduction; whether the join feels seamless depends on the actual edit and should be checked by watching and listening to a test.
Set up the YouTube Live event and protect its key
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to set up or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that event. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it in screenshots, logs, shared scripts, or this article. YouTube uses it to identify the encoder feed.
- For a scheduled stream, keep Live Control Room open so you can check the preview after FFmpeg connects. YouTube’s encoder workflow is to send the feed, wait for preview, inspect it, and then start the event in Live Control Room.
YouTube recommends RTMPS, a secure extension to RTMP. Use the RTMPS URL supplied by Live Control Room and confirm that the FFmpeg build and selected settings support the protocol and codecs you intend to use. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.

Loop the video with FFmpeg
In FFmpeg, -stream_loop -1 means loop the input indefinitely. It is an input option, so place it before the relevant -i. The -re option reads a file at its native frame rate; it can pace input for a live output, but it is not a fix for damaged media or a mismatch between source and output settings. FFmpeg documents these option behaviors at FFmpeg’s command-line documentation.
ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i "hindi-demo.mp4"
-c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 4500k -maxrate 4500k -bufsize 9000k
-pix_fmt yuv420p -g 60 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
-f flv "rtmps://INGEST_HOST/APP/STREAM_KEY"
This is an illustrative command template, not a tested command or guaranteed configuration. Replace the endpoint placeholder with the RTMPS stream URL and key from Live Control Room. Confirm that your installed FFmpeg build supports the chosen encoder and that the resolution, frame rate, bitrate, audio settings, and keyframe interval fit both the source and YouTube’s current guidance.

For options and settings, consult YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions. YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS, recommends constant bitrate (CBR), supports H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 subject to encoder and configuration support, and lists frame rates up to 60 fps. For ordinary SDR, it lists Rec. 709 color space and stereo audio guidance. It transcodes live streams for viewers, so the encoder feed’s settings are not a promise that viewers receive an identical rendition.
Start the feed, inspect preview, and go live
- Start the FFmpeg command. Watch its output for connection or encoding errors.
- In Live Control Room, wait for the encoder preview. Check that the image is correct, motion continues, and the audio is audible without clipping or an unexpected silence.
- When the preview and stream health look right, click Go live for a scheduled event. Starting FFmpeg sends the encoder feed; it does not by itself replace the event-start step in YouTube Live Control Room.
- While the event is running, monitor stream health and the audio and video. At the end, stop the YouTube event and then stop FFmpeg as appropriate.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume the same archive outcome for a longer stream. See YouTube’s encoder setup page for its stated archive guidance.

Test the setup and leave upload headroom
Run a private or unlisted test where appropriate before the event. YouTube recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the real stream, checking preview, and monitoring stream health. Confirm the repeated section is acceptable, not just the first pass.
Your upload capacity should exceed the total stream bitrate. YouTube recommends 20% headroom above the total bitrate, counting primary and backup streams where applicable. Its streaming tips explain the bandwidth guidance. A stable connection matters throughout the loop, not only when FFmpeg first connects.

Troubleshoot common failures
- No preview or connection failure: check that the stream URL and key belong to the selected event, that the key was copied correctly, that the network permits the RTMPS connection, and that your FFmpeg build supports the selected protocol and encoders. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the command.
- Preview appears but the event is not live: for a scheduled encoder event, inspect the preview and then select Go live in Live Control Room.
- Video stutters or the connection drops: check stream health, available upload bandwidth, and the total bitrate against the connection’s capacity. Reduce the configured bitrate or resolution only after checking YouTube’s current settings guidance for the target output.
- Keyframes do not meet guidance: calculate GOP length from the actual frame rate. A 60-frame GOP is two seconds at 30 fps, but not at every frame rate; YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four.
- No audio, distorted audio, or unexpected silence: confirm the file contains the intended audio, inspect the source’s audio stream, and verify the selected codec and sample rate against the current YouTube and FFmpeg configuration.
- The repeated join is distracting: edit or replace the source so its ending leads cleanly into its beginning, then test a full loop. FFmpeg repeats the input; it does not create a seamless transition.
What a prerecorded live loop does—and does not—establish
A successful encoder connection means YouTube is receiving a live stream feed, but the program content remains prerecorded. Do not describe it as a live product demonstration unless a person is actually demonstrating the product live. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance emphasizes rights and policy compliance for streamed audio and video; it does not establish that a particular channel has rights to a particular demo.
The platform guidance covered here does not establish that repetitive prerecorded live streams qualify for monetization or receive any particular distribution or recommendation treatment. Do not assume those outcomes; review YouTube’s current policies for the channel and content.
