To loop a finished YouTube gaming livestream, open its replay and turn on the player’s Loop or Repeat control. A replay must be available on the channel first; YouTube says a channel may post a replay or highlights after a livestream ends, but it is not automatic for every stream. YouTube Help explains replay availability.

Loop one finished livestream replay

Open the replay’s watch page or start it in the YouTube app, then use the control for your device. YouTube’s interface can vary by app version and device software, so look in the player controls if the label or placement differs.

On a computer

  1. Open the livestream replay in a browser.
  2. Right-click inside the video player.
  3. Select Loop from the context menu. The video should start again when it reaches the end.

On Android

  1. Open the replay in the YouTube app and tap the video to show the controls.
  2. Tap the player’s settings, then choose Additional settings.
  3. Tap Loop video.

On a TV or gaming console

  1. Start the replay in the YouTube app.
  2. Use the remote or controller to bring up the on-screen playback controls.
  3. Choose Repeat, if available. The exact label and menu location can vary by app and device.

Loop several gaming livestream replays

For a sequence of finished broadcasts, put the replay videos in a playlist, start playback from that playlist, and turn on its loop control. Check the repeat-mode indicator: on mobile, the control may be set to repeat only the current video rather than the full playlist. If it stays on one replay, switch to the mode that repeats the playlist.

If the replay or loop control is missing

  • No replay appears on the channel: The channel may not have posted one. YouTube notes that channels may post a replay or highlights after a livestream ends; if no video is available, the player cannot loop it.
  • You cannot find Loop or Repeat: Show the player controls and check the device’s playback menus. Labels and placement differ across YouTube apps and device software.
  • A playlist repeats only one video: Check the repeat-mode indicator and change it from repeating the current item to repeating the playlist.

Replay looping is different from live DVR

Looping applies to a video replay after the broadcast has ended. Live DVR is for pausing, rewinding, or resuming a broadcast while it is still live. YouTube says DVR capabilities may be limited or unavailable for livestreams longer than 12 hours; that is a live-playback caveat, not a limit on looping a completed replay. See YouTube Help’s DVR guidance.
