To loop Gujarati garba videos from files on your computer, add them to OBS Studio’s VLC Video source and enable Loop Playlist. VLC must be installed for that source to appear. For one video rather than a playlist, use OBS’s Media Source and turn on Loop.
Loop a playlist of local garba videos with VLC Video
This is the clearest documented way to repeat a playlist in OBS: the videos play from local files, and OBS controls the playlist loop.
- Install VLC. OBS requires VLC for the VLC Video source. Match the VLC architecture to OBS; OBS notes that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC.
- Add the source. In OBS, click the + button in the Sources dock and choose VLC Video.
- Build the playlist. Add your local garba video files, then arrange them in the order you want them to play.
- Set repeat behavior. Leave Loop Playlist enabled to restart the list when it reaches the end. Keep Shuffle Playlist disabled if you want the videos to play in the order you arranged.
- Choose what happens when the source is hidden. OBS offers options to continue, pause, or stop playback when the source is not visible. Its documented default is to stop when hidden and restart when visible. Choose the behavior that fits your scene.
OBS describes VLC Video as supporting playlists of media items, “similar to an Image Slideshow.” See the OBS Project Media Sources guide and its Sources Guide.
Loop one video file instead
If you only need to repeat a single local video, use Media Source, not VLC Video:

- In the Sources dock, click + and select Media Source.
- Select the local video file.
- Enable Loop so playback starts again when the file ends.
OBS documents common local formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and WebM. Restart playback when source becomes active is enabled by default. The VLC Video and Media Source controls are distinct: Loop Playlist repeats a list, while Loop repeats one file. Details are in the OBS Project Media Sources guide.
Can you loop a YouTube playlist in OBS Browser Source?
OBS Browser Source loads a URL as a web page inside a scene. Its documented settings include the URL and viewport width and height, and OBS lists support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. See the OBS Project Browser Source guide.

YouTube’s instructions describe looping a playlist during ordinary YouTube playback: open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist, and click Loop in the playlist box. Those instructions do not confirm that the YouTube playlist loop control will work reliably when the page is embedded in OBS Browser Source. If you need a predictable OBS playlist, use local files in VLC Video instead. The YouTube instructions are at YouTube Help.
Check rights before streaming garba music or video
Being able to play or loop a recording in OBS does not establish permission to rebroadcast it. Confirm that you have the necessary rights for the specific video and music and for your intended use on YouTube before going live. The OBS and YouTube playback instructions explain controls, not the rights status of any recording.
