Before relying on the service, verify your caller ID, check the displayed price, and allow time for calls to reach recipients.
What Phonevite does
Phonevite is a hosted voice-notification service, not a printed invitation product. A Phonevite is a broadcast session that sends a selected audio message to chosen phone numbers. The company lists event invitations alongside announcements, reminders, school closures and alerts as possible uses. It is intended for schools, businesses, churches, organizations and community groups.
Documented features include contact groups and CSV import, web or phone recording, audio uploads, scheduled or immediate broadcasts, keypad RSVP responses, recipient message-back, activity reports, voicemail detection and opt-out controls. The feature information was last updated June 28, 2024, so treat it as documented capability rather than confirmation that every detail has been recently retested. See Phonevite and its FAQ.
How to send an invitation with Phonevite
- Prepare the invitation. Write a short script with the event name, date, start time, location or joining details, and a clear way to respond. Keep key information easy to hear; recipients may be listening to voicemail or a phone speaker.
- Create or choose a contact group. Organize the intended recipients in Phonevite or import contacts using a CSV file. Check the group before sending so the broadcast goes to the right people.
- Record or upload the message. Phonevite documents recording through its website or by phone, as well as uploading an audio recording. Listen through once to confirm that the details are audible and correct.
- Choose when to send. Select an immediate broadcast or schedule it for later. The service also documents RSVP keypad responses and recipient message-back; use those response options when they fit the invitation.
- Review activity and responses. After sending, check available notification activity, delivery details and responses. Do not assume that a sent broadcast means every recipient heard or received it.

Send while away from a computer with Phonevite To Go
Phonevite To Go is a separate documented option for sending while away from a computer: call the Phonevite To Go number assigned to the group from a verified caller ID, record the message, and Phonevite sends it to that associated group. The instructions were last updated February 20, 2025; consult Phonevite To Go for the service’s current details.
Set up your account and verify the caller ID
Phonevite’s FAQ says signup asks for an email address, password and name. To send free calls, register your caller ID through an automated phone verification process. Phonevite says accounts without a verified number are limited. Check the current signup and account requirements in the Phonevite FAQ.

Get consent before sending
Phonevite’s Terms of Service require the sender to obtain necessary recipient consent and provide required disclosures before initiating calls, texts or email messages. This is Phonevite’s stated requirement, not legal advice; make sure your planned invitation and recipient list meet the rules that apply to your situation. Check Phonevite pricing before you send
As displayed on Phonevite’s home and pricing pages on September 30, 2026, pay-as-you-go pricing is 7¢ per send, with no monthly subscription. The pricing page describes the service as prepaid and sets a $10 minimum account balance. Its small-group support plan allows up to 25 recipients and up to two free broadcasts every 30 days; the page also advertises volume savings and nonprofit discounts. Confirm terms directly on the Phonevite pricing page before purchasing, since pricing can change.

Phonevite’s official help information conflicts with the current displayed rate: a Premium Service article last updated June 28, 2024, says 5¢ per completed call. That is a different stated unit as well as a different amount, so do not treat it as interchangeable with the current page’s 7¢ per send. Check the pricing page or contact Phonevite support if the charge basis matters to your budget. The older figure appears in the Premium Service help article.

Phonevite’s terms say messages are sent through carriers and mobile network operators and that the service does not guarantee a specific maximum delivery time. They describe calling and message delivery in the contiguous 48 states and Hawaii. For an invitation tied to a firm start time, schedule the broadcast with a buffer and keep another way to contact attendees available. See the Terms of Service.
