To join the official World of Warcraft: Forever beta, first confirm that your Battle.net account has beta access. Then install the beta from the World of Warcraft page in the Battle.net desktop app and choose an available test realm after launching it. Opting in only gives you a chance to be selected; it does not guarantee access.
Check whether your Battle.net account has beta access
Blizzard offers two routes: opt in and await possible selection, or obtain an eligible World of Warcraft: Forever digital bundle, which includes beta access. The announcement does not list bundle prices or confirm availability by region, so check the terms shown at checkout in your region before purchasing.

If you opted in, you may be selected as invitations go out during testing. If you purchased an eligible bundle, its beta entitlement can take up to 30 minutes to appear; restarting the Battle.net app may help it show up.
- Open Battle.net directly rather than using a sign-in link in an email.
- Sign in and check Your Game Accounts for a World of Warcraft: Forever beta license.
- If the license is not listed, do not assume an invitation email proves access. Check the account again after any entitlement delay, or consult Blizzard’s announcement for the latest access guidance.
Blizzard warns about phishing attempts and advises checking the license in your account if you are unsure an invitation is legitimate. See Blizzard’s official beta announcement.

What to know about the beta schedule and content
In its announcement dated 2026, Blizzard said the beta would run through October 21, 2026, the last full day of testing. It also described a later “Server Slam” lasting several hours, during which anyone could access the beta; the announcement did not give its exact window. These dates and access details are time-sensitive, so check Blizzard’s current news before relying on them. Outside a specifically announced Server Slam, do not assume the beta is open to everyone.
Blizzard’s announcement described an initial level cap of 20, with the cap expected to rise to 30 later in the beta. Its Week 1 plan listed the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, plus two dungeons:

Blizzard said more zones, dungeons, and a battleground would open as testing continued. These are details from the announced beta plan, not confirmation of what is available in the current build.
