There is no verified graphics-setting recipe or published FPS benchmark for Burning Sword: Death Sun yet. Steam still lists the full game as coming soon, so its hardware requirements are guidance—not evidence of final-release performance. For the Prologue Demo, identify when slowdowns happen, compare your PC with Steam’s listed requirements, and test changes one at a time.
What is known about the game’s PC performance?
Steam identifies Unreal Engine 5 as the game engine and lists the full game as coming soon. Its hardware requirements are the best available reference for comparing your PC, but they do not specify a target resolution, graphics preset, or frame rate. They should not be read as benchmark results for a released game. See the Steam listing.
The official Prologue Demo version 0.3.1.8 patch notes, dated June 13, 2025, say: “Optimized performance in the waterfall area and during boss battles for a smoother gameplay experience.” The note documents those optimizations but provides no measured FPS improvement and does not say that all performance issues were fixed. Read the patch notes.
Players have reported low or unstable FPS, stuttering, and changes in DLSS behavior in demo builds from 2024 and 2025. Those accounts concern different builds and PCs; they are not controlled tests or evidence of how common a problem is on the current build. Browse Steam discussions.

Compare your PC with Steam’s requirements
Use the published tiers as a compatibility reference, not a promise of a particular frame rate. Steam lists these specifications; the listing does not state resolution or quality targets for either tier.

The SSD notes are shown separately from the 50 GB available-storage figure on Steam; preserve that distinction when checking the listing. If your PC is below a minimum tier, that is a reason to temper expectations, not proof that replacing one component will fix a particular slowdown. Performance can also depend on the rest of the system and on the scene or build.

Diagnose slowdowns before changing settings
These are general PC troubleshooting steps, not a title-specific fix established by testing. A repeatable comparison helps distinguish consistently low frame rates from brief dips or stutter when a new area or effects load.
- Record a baseline. Note the demo build, resolution, graphics preset, and frame rate in a repeatable scene. Record whether the problem is steady or appears mainly when entering an area or seeing effects.
- Reduce competing workloads. Close unnecessary, resource-heavy apps, then revisit the same scene and compare it with your baseline.
- Check the installation and driver. Use the platform’s normal game-file verification option and your graphics vendor’s standard driver update process. Retest before changing in-game settings.
- Change one setting at a time. Lower a graphics option, replay the same scene, and record what changed. If you change several settings together, you will not know which one mattered.
- Keep separate notes for average performance and interruptions. A generally low frame rate and a brief dip or stutter are different observations. Record both rather than relying on a single peak number.
There is no verified setting recipe in the cited material, so treat any improvement from these steps as a result to confirm on your own PC—not a guaranteed fix for this game.

Should you upgrade hardware?
First compare your existing GPU, CPU, memory, and storage with the Steam tiers. If you are considering a graphics-card upgrade, Steam names the GeForce RTX 3070 in its recommended tier, but that does not establish that the card is necessary, the best value, or a guaranteed solution. No game-specific FPS uplift or current price is established here. Check compatibility with your full system and compare the other listed components before buying.
Steam does not publish a tested performance target for the minimum or recommended PCs. Meeting the recommended tier therefore cannot be translated into a promised frame rate, and upgrading a single component may not resolve stutter caused by another bottleneck.
