The Deer is the Fortnite cosmetic tied to 99 Nights in the Forest. To get it, sign in to the Epic account that should own the item, open Item Shop, locate the 99 Nights in the Forest section, and buy The Deer or its bundle with V-Bucks. Then equip it through Locker > Outfits.
Epic’s 2026 listing showed The Deer at 1,500 V-Bucks and the bundle at 2,000 V-Bucks, but the listed offer window ended on October 16, 2026. Because the current date is October 27, 2026, the section may no longer be visible. Check the live Item Shop rather than assuming the cosmetic is still available or that it has a guaranteed return date.
What is the 99 Nights in the Forest Fortnite skin?
The Fortnite item is The Deer, an Item Shop outfit based on the 99 Nights in the Forest crossover. It is a paid cosmetic, not a Battle Pass tier, survival milestone, login reward, or quest completion reward.

The name can cause confusion because 99 Nights in the Forest is a Roblox survival-horror experience. Roblox gameplay, Roblox progress, and fan-made Fortnite Creative islands do not award The Deer. The Fortnite version is acquired through Fortnite’s own Item Shop and appears in the Fortnite Locker after purchase.

How do I unlock The Deer in Fortnite?
Use the following path while signed in to the Epic account that should receive the cosmetic. The exact offer must be present in the live shop; an old listing or a video showing the crossover does not make the item purchasable today.
- Launch Fortnite. Sign in to the Epic account that will own the outfit. If several people use the same console or PC, check the account name before spending V-Bucks.
- Open Item Shop. From the Fortnite lobby, select Item Shop.
- Find the crossover section. Look for 99 Nights in the Forest. Shop sections are based on the current rotation, so the section may be absent even if you remember seeing it previously.
- Inspect the available listing. Select The Deer for the individual outfit, or select the bundle if it is displayed and you want its extra cosmetics.
- Confirm the V-Bucks purchase. Review the item name and price on the confirmation screen before accepting. The 2026 catalog figures were 1,500 V-Bucks for The Deer and 2,000 V-Bucks for the bundle.
- Open Locker. Return to the lobby, choose Locker, then open Outfits.
- Equip The Deer. Select the outfit and choose the equip option. The character will then be available in your Fortnite loadout.
If the 99 Nights in the Forest section does not appear, Fortnite is not currently showing that offer in your shop rotation. Do not use a code claiming to unlock it; the documented route is a shop purchase when Epic makes the listing available.
How many V-Bucks does The Deer cost?
Epic’s 2026 catalog listed the individual outfit at 1,500 V-Bucks. The same listing showed a five-item bundle at 2,000 V-Bucks, reduced from a stated combined value of 2,900 V-Bucks. These are catalog figures from the 2026 offer, not a promise that a future return will use the same price.
| Purchase | Listed price | What you receive | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Deer outfit | 1,500 V-Bucks | The Deer character outfit | You only want the Fortnite skin |
| 99 Nights in the Forest Bundle | 2,000 V-Bucks | The Deer, Old Sack, Old Axe, Taming Flame, and The Deer’s Eyes | You want the outfit plus its matching accessories |
| Old Sack | 300 V-Bucks | Back accessory listed separately | You want the accessory without the full bundle |
| Taming Flame | 400 V-Bucks | Listed accessory | You want this item separately, if it is offered |
| Old Axe | 500 V-Bucks | Harvesting tool listed separately | You want the matching pickaxe without the outfit |
| The Deer’s Eyes | 500 V-Bucks | Listed cosmetic accessory | You want this individual item, if available |
On the listed figures, buying the bundle for 2,000 V-Bucks costs 500 more than buying The Deer alone. The bundle’s stated 2,900-V-Buck combined value means the listed bundle price represents a 900-V-Buck reduction against those individual values. That comparison only matters if all included items are useful to you; paying for accessories you will not equip does not make the bundle a better personal value.

Is the 99 Nights in the Forest bundle still in the Item Shop?
Epic’s listed purchase window ended on October 16, 2026. On October 27, 2026, that means you should treat the crossover as potentially unavailable unless the live Item Shop shows it again. There is no established guaranteed return date in the available information.
Check the shop directly in Fortnite rather than relying on an old screenshot, search result, or third-party code. If the 99 Nights in the Forest section is missing, neither the individual outfit nor the bundle is being offered in that rotation. A later return may be possible, but its date and price need to be confirmed from the current listing.
What is included in the Fortnite bundle?
The bundle listing includes five named cosmetics:
- The Deer — the Fortnite outfit.
- Old Sack — listed at 300 V-Bucks when offered separately.
- Old Axe — listed at 500 V-Bucks when offered separately.
- Taming Flame — listed at 400 V-Bucks when offered separately.
- The Deer’s Eyes — listed at 500 V-Bucks when offered separately.
The individual purchase gives you the outfit only. The bundle is the relevant choice when you want the complete set of listed accessories, while the standalone outfit avoids spending extra V-Bucks on items you do not plan to use.
Can I get The Deer by playing 99 Nights in the Forest on Roblox?
No. The Roblox survival game and Fortnite use separate accounts, currencies, inventories, and reward systems for this purpose. Playing nights, completing Roblox objectives, or earning progress in that experience does not place The Deer in a Fortnite Locker.

- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
The same applies to a fan-made Fortnite Creative island that imitates the Roblox game. A Creative map can provide its own gameplay or map-specific rewards, but it does not replace an official Item Shop purchase for this cosmetic.
Is there a free code or quest for the skin?
The Deer is documented as an Item Shop cosmetic rather than a free quest or Battle Pass reward. There is no supported free-code route established for this outfit. Treat websites, videos, or messages promising a “99 Nights in the Forest skin code” as unverified and avoid entering your Epic login details on them.
If Epic brings the item back, the safe check is the in-game Item Shop on the account that will own it. Do not confuse a promotional image, a creator code, or a Roblox item code with a Fortnite cosmetic entitlement.
How can I obtain the V-Bucks needed for the purchase?
Epic documents several ways to add or earn V-Bucks, including direct V-Bucks purchases, eligible pass earnings, Crew or pack routes, and redemption of V-Bucks cards. Epic describes V-Bucks Cards as physical cards sold at authorized retail stores and online. A card funds Fortnite V-Bucks; it is not Roblox currency and does not grant The Deer by itself.

Before redeeming a card, make sure you are signed in to the Epic account you intend to use. The practical sequence is to redeem or otherwise obtain the V-Bucks, confirm the balance in Fortnite, and then purchase the currently listed item. Card availability, denominations, and redemption rules can vary by region, so follow the instructions printed on the card or shown in Epic’s redemption flow.
Why is The Deer missing from my Locker?
A completed purchase should be checked in the outfit inventory, but an incorrect account or an active filter can make a cosmetic appear to be missing. Use this recovery order:
- Verify the Epic account. Confirm that the account currently signed in is the one that completed the purchase. Console profiles can be linked to a different Epic account than expected.
- Open the correct category. In Locker, choose Outfits, not Back Bling, Pickaxes, or another item type.
- Clear Sort and Filter. Remove rarity, set, search, or ownership filters that could hide The Deer.
- Check Archived items. A cosmetic moved to Archive will not appear in the normal unarchived list until you review or restore it.
- Review the transaction. Confirm that the purchase completed and that the V-Bucks balance changed as expected. If the transaction is not present on the owning account, use Epic’s account-support process rather than buying the item again.
If the Item Shop offer disappeared before you confirmed a purchase, that is different from a missing Locker item: an uncompleted checkout does not grant the outfit. Wait for the shop to show the listing again instead of assuming the prior offer remains active.

Choose based on the cosmetics you actually want and on whether the offer is present now. The standalone outfit is the lower-cost route at the listed 1,500 V-Bucks. The bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks and adds Old Sack, Old Axe, Taming Flame, and The Deer’s Eyes.

| Decision question | Choose the individual outfit when… | Choose the bundle when… |
|---|---|---|
| Primary goal | You want The Deer and nothing else. | You want a coordinated set of accessories. |
| V-Bucks available | You have 1,500 V-Bucks but not 2,000. | You can spend 2,000 V-Bucks without reducing another planned purchase. |
| Offer status | The outfit is listed by itself and the bundle is absent or unsuitable. | The live shop lists the bundle and all included items matter to you. |
| Locker use | You need only an outfit for your loadout. | You want the outfit and its listed matching items available in Locker. |
Do not treat the bundle’s stated discount as cash savings. It is a V-Bucks comparison against the listed individual values, and the items are useful only if you intend to equip them.
What should I check before confirming the purchase?
- Confirm the Epic display name and platform account shown in the lobby.
- Check whether the listing is The Deer or the full bundle.
- Read the current price on the confirmation screen rather than relying on an old guide.
- Make sure your V-Bucks balance covers the purchase and leaves enough for other planned items.
- Remember that the Roblox game does not supply Fortnite currency or inventory.
- Capture the in-game transaction details if you need to contact support later.
What is the safest way to verify availability after October 16, 2026?
Open Fortnite’s Item Shop on the account that will own the cosmetic and search the visible sections for 99 Nights in the Forest. If the section and price are shown, you can decide between the individual outfit and bundle from that current listing. If they are not shown, there is no active shop purchase to complete at that moment.
Because a return date has not been established, avoid presenting a calendar prediction as fact. Recheck the live shop after future rotations or an official Fortnite announcement rather than purchasing from an external seller or entering credentials into a code site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fortnite Crew automatically include The Deer?
No automatic inclusion is established for this Item Shop outfit. Crew, pass, and pack routes can provide V-Bucks or other benefits, but you still need a live listing and a completed purchase for The Deer unless Epic explicitly announces a different promotion.
Can a family member’s Roblox account unlock the Fortnite outfit?
No. The Roblox account and Fortnite Epic account are separate identities for this cosmetic. The account used to buy the Item Shop listing is the one that should be checked when the outfit is missing.
What if I bought the bundle but only see one item?
Check each relevant Locker category: The Deer is under Outfits, Old Sack and The Deer’s Eyes are accessories, and Old Axe is a harvesting tool. Clear filters and inspect Archived items before assuming the transaction failed.
Will the next return use the same 1,500-V-Buck price?
The 1,500-V-Buck outfit and 2,000-V-Buck bundle prices come from Epic’s 2026 listing. A future shop return could require checking its own displayed price, so do not treat those figures as a permanent guarantee.
