To make a Hostinger AI Builder website appear on Google, publish it on its real public domain, configure each page’s SEO and visibility settings, verify the site in Google Search Console, submit the automatically generated sitemap at https://your-domain/sitemap.xml, and inspect important URLs. Hostinger says discovery, crawling and indexing can take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. Being indexed is not a ranking guarantee: Google also evaluates content quality, loading speed, accessibility, links and many other signals.
What it means for a website to appear on Google
Google visibility has several separate stages. Keeping them distinct makes troubleshooting much easier:
- Publication: Hostinger has deployed the site and the public domain serves its pages.
- Discovery: Google learns that a URL exists, often through links or a sitemap.
- Crawling: Googlebot fetches the page and examines its content and technical signals.
- Indexing: Google decides whether to store the page in its search index and which canonical URL represents it.
- Ranking: An indexed page competes with other pages for particular searches. Indexing alone does not place it on the first page, or even guarantee that it will be shown for a query.
Hostinger’s official guidance explains that a newly created AI Builder site may need from a couple of days to a couple of weeks to be discovered, crawled and indexed. Changes to an already published site are also not reflected immediately; Google normally takes from a few days to a few weeks to update them. See Hostinger’s appearance-on-Google guidance for the current support notes.
Prepare the site before asking Google to crawl it
Search Console cannot index a site that visitors cannot reach. Complete these checks before submitting anything:

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Publish the website rather than leaving it in the AI Builder editor or preview.
- Use the intended public domain and its HTTPS version. If you have more than one domain or protocol version, choose one preferred version and make your navigation and shared links consistent with it.
- Open the public URL in a private browser window while logged out. The homepage and important pages should load without a password, account requirement or maintenance screen.
- Click the main navigation, calls to action and footer links. Remove links that lead to errors, empty pages or unfinished drafts.
- Make sure important pages are not marked as hidden from search engines in Hostinger’s page settings.
- Check the site on a phone as well as a desktop. Slow or hard-to-use pages can undermine visibility even after Google discovers them.
These checks also prevent a common false diagnosis: a page may be indexed correctly while a visitor is testing an old preview address, a different domain, or a URL that is blocked by a login screen.
Configure SEO for every important page in Hostinger AI Builder
Hostinger AI Builder provides page-level controls for metadata, URLs, visibility, images and headings. The settings are documented in Hostinger’s SEO settings guide for manual mode. Work through the pages that matter to customers first: the homepage, service or product pages, location pages, contact page and any useful guides.
Write a distinct title and description
Give each important page a title that says what the page is about and a description that accurately previews its value. Do not copy the same wording across every URL. A title such as “Emergency Boiler Repair in Leeds” is more informative for that service page than a repeated site name alone. The description should describe the actual page, not promise information that visitors will not find.

Metadata can influence how Google represents a result, but it does not override the page’s visible content or guarantee a ranking. Keep the wording natural and useful to a person deciding whether to click.

Use readable URLs
Edit the page URL when the default address is unclear or contains unnecessary wording. A short, descriptive path such as /boiler-repair-leeds is easier to understand than an automatically generated string. Change a URL before launch where possible. If you change an address after it has been shared or indexed, update internal links and treat the old address as a migration that needs careful checking.
Use keywords as a planning aid, not a repetition target
Hostinger exposes a keywords field, but repeating a phrase unnaturally will not make a page relevant. Choose the language a real customer would use, then cover the subject clearly in the page’s headings and body. One page should have one clear primary purpose; do not create near-identical pages solely to target slight variations of the same phrase.
Keep search visibility enabled for pages you want found
AI Builder lets you control page visibility. A page hidden from search engines should not be expected to appear in Google. Leave visibility enabled for public pages that support your business or answer a reader’s question. Keep private, temporary, duplicate or unfinished pages out of search until they are ready.
Add useful image alternative text and heading structure
Write concise alt text that explains the meaningful content or function of an image. Decorative images do not need a keyword-stuffed description. Organize the page with a clear main heading and descriptive subheadings so people and search systems can understand its structure. Alt text and headings improve accessibility as well as the clarity of the page.

Publish and test the final public URL
- Finish the key pages. Check the text, contact details, navigation, images, forms and links in the AI Builder editor.
- Save page-level SEO settings. Confirm titles, descriptions, URLs, visibility, alt text and headings for the homepage and priority pages.
- Use Hostinger’s publish action. Wait for the deployment to complete rather than submitting a preview address.
- Test while logged out. Visit the final HTTPS domain in a private window and open several deep links directly, not only through the homepage.
- Test from more than one device. Confirm that the layout, menus, forms and readable text work on a phone and a desktop.
- Record the exact canonical addresses. These are the URLs you will inspect in Search Console. Avoid switching between
httpandhttps, or betweenwwwand the bare domain, during testing.
If a URL fails this test, fix publication or access first. A sitemap submission cannot make a private, broken or unpublished page crawlable.
Find and submit Hostinger’s automatic sitemap
After publication, Hostinger AI Builder automatically creates a sitemap at your domain’s root path: https://your-domain/sitemap.xml. Hostinger says the sitemap is updated when the site changes. Its purpose is to help search engines discover the site’s pages and understand their structure; it is not a command to index every listed URL. The details are in Hostinger’s sitemap documentation.
- Replace
your-domainwith the actual public domain, including the correct HTTPS scheme. - Open the complete sitemap URL in a browser. It should load instead of returning a login page or a 404 error, and it should list the pages you intend to make public.
- Look for obvious omissions, such as a newly published service page, and check that unwanted drafts are not included.
- Keep the URL exactly as displayed. Do not submit a local preview address or add tracking parameters.
Verify the site in Google Search Console
Google Search Console is the owner-controlled place to verify a site, submit its sitemap, inspect individual URLs and monitor indexing problems. Hostinger recommends it for tracking and troubleshooting appearance in search.
Recommended Free Tools
- Open Google Search Console and add a property for the site. Choose a domain property when you want the property’s coverage across protocol and subdomain variants, or a URL-prefix property when you need to monitor one exact prefix.
- Complete Google’s verification method shown for that property. The available method depends on the property type and your access to the domain or site.
- After verification, select the property that corresponds to the published Hostinger domain. A verified property for a different domain or URL prefix will not show the same indexing data.
- Open the Sitemaps area, enter the sitemap path or full URL as requested, and submit it.
- Return later to see whether Google could fetch the sitemap and how many URLs it discovered. A submitted sitemap is a discovery aid, not a guarantee of indexing or ranking.
Keep the verified property available after launch. It is the clearest place to see whether a problem affects the whole site or only one URL.

Inspect priority URLs and request indexing when appropriate
Use Search Console’s URL inspection feature for the canonical homepage and the pages that matter most. Enter the exact public URL, not a preview link or an address with a different protocol.
- Run the inspection and read the result for the exact URL. Check whether Google has a known index entry and whether the tested address is the canonical one.
- If the page is new and otherwise accessible, use the available request-indexing action. This places the URL in Google’s crawl queue; it does not bypass quality checks or guarantee a result.
- For a site with many pages, submit the sitemap for broad discovery and reserve individual requests for a small number of priority URLs.
- After making a material change, inspect the affected URL again only after the public version is live. Google may continue to show an older version while it recrawls the page.
For definitions of the statuses and exclusions shown in the reports, use Google’s Page indexing report documentation. The report can distinguish, for example, a URL Google has not discovered from one it crawled but excluded, which calls for different action.
How long indexing takes
There is no reliable universal number of hours for a new Hostinger site. Hostinger’s current support guidance gives a range of a couple of days to a couple of weeks for pages to be discovered, crawled and indexed. Google can also take a few days to a few weeks to reflect changes on a published site.

- Confirm the public pages remain reachable and do not accidentally become hidden.
- Watch the sitemap status and indexing reports in Search Console.
- Fix broken links, empty pages, duplicate pages and inaccurate metadata as soon as you find them.
- Avoid repeatedly changing the domain or URL structure while Google is processing the first version.
- Do not interpret a missing result after a short wait as proof that the site is permanently excluded.
Indexing and ranking have different timelines. A page can enter the index and still need stronger, more useful content and better user experience before it earns visibility for competitive searches.

Troubleshoot a Hostinger site that is not appearing
| Symptom | Likely check | Action |
|---|---|---|
| The homepage does not open publicly | The site may still be unpublished, on the wrong domain, behind maintenance mode or requiring a login. | Publish again if necessary, then test the final HTTPS URL while logged out. |
| The sitemap URL returns an error | The domain or path may be mistyped, or publication may not have completed. | Open https://your-domain/sitemap.xml directly, correct the domain and republish if the file is absent. |
| The sitemap is fetched but a page is missing | The page may be hidden, unpublished, excluded from the generated sitemap or using a different URL. | Check page visibility, publication status and the exact live URL in the AI Builder settings. |
| Search Console shows no data | You may be viewing an unverified property or the wrong protocol, subdomain or domain. | Select the property that matches the public Hostinger address and complete verification. |
| A priority URL is not indexed | Google may not have crawled it yet, or the URL may have an access, canonical or quality issue. | Inspect the exact URL, read the reported status, fix the underlying issue and request indexing when the page is ready. |
| Only old wording appears | Google has not recrawled the latest published version. | Keep the URL stable, verify the current public page and allow the normal few-days-to-few-weeks update window. |
| Some pages appear but others do not | Individual pages can differ in visibility, links, content quality or crawl status. | Compare an indexed URL with the missing URL in URL Inspection and correct the page-specific problem. |
| The site is indexed but receives no useful traffic | Indexing has occurred, but relevance, competition, speed, accessibility or content quality may be limiting rankings. | Improve the page for the searcher’s intent and monitor performance rather than submitting the same URL repeatedly. |
Waiting for discovery versus using Search Console
Google may discover a public site without any manual submission, but submitting the sitemap and inspecting URLs gives the owner better visibility and control over the launch.
| Approach | Owner control | Diagnostics | Coverage | Effort | Guarantee |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wait for organic discovery | Low; discovery depends on Google’s systems and existing links. | Little information about whether a URL was found or excluded. | May reach pages that Google finds naturally, but timing is uncertain. | Minimal after publication. | No indexing or ranking guarantee. |
| Submit the Hostinger sitemap in Search Console | Higher; you provide the current list of intended public URLs. | Shows whether Google could fetch the sitemap and reports URL coverage. | Broad site-level discovery from one sitemap. | Requires verification and one submission, followed by monitoring. | No indexing or ranking guarantee. |
| Inspect and request an individual URL | Highest for a selected priority page. | Provides URL-level status and reported reasons for exclusion. | One URL at a time, useful for a homepage or urgent page. | More manual work and subject to crawl limits and Google’s decisions. | No indexing or ranking guarantee. |
Hostinger’s built-in SEO controls versus an external SEO platform
For a small AI Builder site, Hostinger’s controls cover the page-level work needed to launch: titles, descriptions, URLs, visibility, alt text and headings. An external SEO platform may add broader reporting, keyword research or site auditing, but its subscription cost, technical access and ability to change the underlying Hostinger site vary by product. It cannot replace publication, a working sitemap or Search Console verification.
| Capability | Hostinger AI Builder controls | External SEO platform |
|---|---|---|
| Metadata control | Set page titles and descriptions in the builder. | May recommend or bulk-manage metadata, depending on integration. |
| Technical access | Works within the builder’s available settings and generated structure. | Access varies; a reporting tool may not be able to edit the site. |
| Reporting depth | Basic page settings, combined with Search Console for indexing reports. | May provide additional audits, research and historical dashboards. |
| Cost | Included with the relevant Hostinger product; current plan terms can change. | Pricing and limits depend on the provider; no universal cost applies. |
| Best use | Implementing the essential on-page settings before publication. | Additional analysis after the site is technically accessible and measurable. |
Improve the chance of ranking after indexing
Once Google can crawl the site, focus on the reasons a person would choose it over competing results. Hostinger identifies content quality, loading speed and accessibility as factors that affect visibility, alongside other search signals.
- Answer a specific need: Make each page substantially useful for its intended visitor instead of creating thin pages with slightly different keywords.
- Remove empty and duplicate pages: Pages with little original information or repeated text give Google less reason to show multiple URLs.
- Repair links: Broken internal links make navigation harder for visitors and crawlers. Check menus, buttons, related-page links and contact links.
- Improve loading: Keep images appropriately sized, avoid unnecessary visual effects and test the live page on a normal mobile connection.
- Make content accessible: Use readable contrast and text, descriptive headings, keyboard-friendly controls and meaningful alt text.
- Build a coherent internal structure: Link from the homepage and relevant articles to important pages using descriptive anchor text. This helps people and crawlers understand which pages matter.
- Keep business information consistent: Check names, addresses, contact details, opening hours and service descriptions wherever they appear on the site.
These improvements support ranking and usability, but no Hostinger setting or Search Console action can promise a particular position. Competitive queries may require sustained content and authority work after the initial indexation.
Launch checklist
- Published the site on its intended public domain.
- Confirmed the HTTPS URL loads in a private window without login or maintenance barriers.
- Checked the homepage and priority pages on mobile and desktop.
- Written distinct titles and descriptions for important pages.
- Reviewed editable URLs and updated internal links after any URL change.
- Kept public priority pages visible to search engines.
- Added useful alt text and a logical heading structure.
- Removed empty, duplicate and unfinished pages, plus broken links.
- Opened
https://your-domain/sitemap.xmland confirmed it contains the intended pages. - Verified the matching domain or URL property in Google Search Console.
- Submitted the sitemap in Search Console.
- Inspected the canonical homepage and other priority URLs.
- Requested indexing for a ready, missing priority URL when the inspection workflow offers that option.
- Allowed the expected couple-of-days-to-couple-of-weeks discovery window before treating normal delay as a failure.
- Used indexing reports to diagnose exact URLs instead of repeatedly resubmitting the entire site.
The practical answer
Publish first, make the public pages crawlable and useful, then connect the site to Search Console. Hostinger AI Builder supplies the sitemap automatically at /sitemap.xml; Search Console supplies verification, submission, inspection and diagnostic reports. Give Google the stated couple of days to couple of weeks to process a new site, and continue improving content, speed, accessibility and links. That process can make the pages eligible to appear, but ranking remains a separate result that Google determines from the page and the wider search competition.
