Screenshot.rocks’ documented website-capture workflow is one URL at a time. You can repeat it for a small set of sites and keep the results consistent, but its public instructions do not show a URL-list upload, batch endpoint, or bulk export. For a long list, use a separately verified batch screenshot service or browser automation; do not assume that capability is part of Screenshot.rocks.

Can Screenshot.rocks capture multiple URLs at once?

Screenshot.rocks documents a manual, URL-by-URL process: enter a website address, choose desktop or mobile, capture the first screen, adjust the frame and background, then export. Its public instructions do not document batch URL input or a batch endpoint. That describes the reviewed workflow, not proof that no private or newly released feature exists; if batch capture is essential, confirm availability directly with Screenshot.rocks.

For a short list, repeat the documented workflow for each address. For a large or recurring list, use a separate service that explicitly supports multi-URL jobs or automate a browser, after checking the limits and handling details described below.

How to make a consistent set manually

  1. Prepare the list. Deduplicate URLs and decide whether each needs a desktop capture, a mobile capture, or both. Choose a common output style and dimensions before you start. This is a preparation recommendation, not a Screenshot.rocks bulk-list feature.
  2. Capture each address. Open Screenshot.rocks’ website capture, enter one URL, select Mobile if needed, and press Capture. The online tool captures the first screen rather than the full scrolling page.
  3. Apply the same presentation. Reuse the same frame style, background, canvas ratio and dimensions for every thumbnail. Screenshot.rocks documents PNG, JPEG, WebP and SVG export, with a canvas size up to 2300 pixels.
  4. Export and name files clearly. Choose one format for the set and use filenames that map unambiguously to the source URLs. Keep a separate record of URLs that failed so they can be retried or handled through another capture method.
  5. Review the results. Check that each image shows the intended site and viewport. Server-rendered captures can fail on slow or mistyped pages and pages that block automated browsers.

Documented viewport sizes

Capture mode Viewport Output
Desktop 1440 × 800 CSS pixels 2880 × 1600 pixels at 2× density
Mobile 375 × 812 points, iPhone X-sized viewport 1125 × 2436 pixels at 3× density

These are the sizes stated on Screenshot.rocks’ product and mobile pages; publication dates are not stated there. Mobile online capture is also limited to the first screen.

When manual repetition is the wrong workflow

If you have a long list, need scheduled updates, or need machine-readable results, move capture into a service or browser-automation workflow that explicitly handles multiple URLs. A separately reviewed screenshot API documents a POST batch endpoint, but that is not a Screenshot.rocks feature. The documented endpoint alone does not establish its pricing, URL limits, retention, privacy terms, or suitability for your workload.

Before committing a list, verify:

  • URLs accepted per batch, rate limits, and concurrency controls;
  • whether it captures only the initial viewport or the entire page;
  • desktop and mobile viewport options and supported output formats and dimensions;
  • how it handles login-protected pages, local addresses, and anti-automation measures;
  • retry behavior, failure reporting, and output naming;
  • where captures are stored, how long they are retained, and what URL or page data is processed;
  • pricing, usage quotas, and the cost of failed captures.

Limits and alternatives for difficult pages

Full-page thumbnails

Screenshot.rocks’ online URL capture produces the first screen, not a full scrolling-page image. Its guide points readers to browser-native capture options in Chrome DevTools, Firefox, Edge, and Safari Web Inspector for full-page screenshots. A long-page image may also need a different layout from a compact website thumbnail.

Logged-in pages and localhost

Server-side URL capture cannot access content that requires your login or local addresses such as localhost. For a logged-in page, Screenshot.rocks’ browser extension captures the visible current tab from your browser, where your session is available; it does not capture the entire page. For localhost or other inaccessible pages, capture from your own browser or take a screenshot manually and bring it into the editor.

Pages that block automated browsers

A site that blocks automated browsers may prevent online capture. Try the browser extension or a manual capture for pages you can view locally, or use another workflow only after verifying that it can handle the site and complies with your access requirements.

Privacy: editor images versus website captures

Screenshot.rocks says images handled by its editor are processed in the browser and are not uploaded. Website URL capture is different: the URL is sent to its server for rendering. The product page says the screenshot is not stored on the server. Do not treat those statements as meaning every part of both workflows runs locally.

Or skip the browser setup

For automated captures, ScreenshotNeo provides a one-request screenshot API and supports bulk capture of up to 100 URLs per call. The example below requests a WebP screenshot of one URL; see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for the supported parameters and bulk request details.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie and consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Troubleshooting

Symptom Likely cause What to do
A URL will not capture The address may be mistyped, the page may be slow, or it may block automated browsers. Check the URL and retry; if server capture still fails, try a browser-based or manual capture.
The capture shows only the top of the page Screenshot.rocks’ online URL capture is first-screen only. Use a browser-native full-page capture option if the entire page is required.
A private page is missing or inaccessible Server capture does not have your logged-in session. Use the browser extension to capture the visible current tab, or capture manually.
Local development URL cannot be reached The online server cannot access localhost. Capture from your local browser and bring the image into the editor.
Thumbnails do not look uniform Viewport, frame, background, canvas size, or export format varied between captures. Set those choices once and reuse them for each URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Screenshot.rocks provide a documented bulk URL upload?

Its reviewed public instructions document URL-by-URL capture, not a bulk upload or batch endpoint. Confirm with Screenshot.rocks if you need to know whether a newer or private capability is available.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Can I use Screenshot.rocks to capture an entire page?

Its online URL capture is first-screen only. The browser extension captures the visible tab, not a full page; the guide points to browser-native options for full-page capture.

Can it capture a page after I log in?

The server-rendered URL workflow cannot use your login session. The browser extension captures the visible current tab from your own browser.
