If World of Stands will not load, crashes as you join, or runs with severe lag, first check whether Roblox itself is having an outage and try a different experience. If other Roblox games work, the fault is probably specific to World of Stands and should be reported to its creator. If several experiences fail, work through the client, network, browser, firewall, and device checks below.
First determine whether Roblox or World of Stands is at fault
Do not begin by reinstalling Roblox. A platform outage, a broken place, and a local device problem require different fixes. Matching the fix to the scope of the problem saves time and avoids changing settings that cannot affect the real cause.
Check Roblox Status
Open Roblox’s official Status page and check Website, Mobile App, Games, and Game Join. When these components are operational, a Roblox-wide outage is less likely; when one is degraded, joining may be delayed or unsuccessful and local changes will not repair it. The Roblox listing identified World of Stands as an open-world adventure and fighting game by SpicyWater Anime. On October 19, 2026, the listing showed Version 3.0.1 with “D4C + SUMMER EVENT,” but it also showed no running experiences at the moment it was checked. That availability can change from minute to minute, so a temporarily empty server list is not proof that your installation is broken. If the listing itself is unavailable while other Roblox pages work, include that observation in a report rather than assuming your account or device is at fault.
Ask a friend to try joining the same place if possible. If friends also cannot enter while other experiences work, the evidence for an experience-side or server-side problem is stronger. If they can join and you cannot, continue with local client, network, browser, and firewall checks.
Fix a stuck loading screen or failed join
Roblox identifies firewall or security software, unstable wireless service, browser add-ons, corrupted files, and a faulty experience as common causes. Use the following order so that inexpensive, reversible checks come before reinstalling. After each change, retry the same join step so you know which action had an effect.
1. Restart the device
Close Roblox, restart the computer or mobile device, and try World of Stands again. A reboot clears a hung Roblox process, releases memory held by another application, and resets short-lived network state. On desktop, also make sure no Roblox installer or updater is still open before launching the game. If Roblox appears in the task list after you close it, end that process before reopening the launcher.
2. Use a supported, up-to-date browser
If you launch Roblox from a browser, update that browser and try another supported browser when the launch hand-off is stuck. A browser that opens the Roblox page but never starts the client can have a damaged site session, incompatible setting, or extension conflict. Sign in again after changing browsers and select the experience’s Play button from the listing. Do not test several browser changes at once; one clean attempt in a second supported browser gives you a useful comparison.
3. Temporarily disable extensions
Ad blockers and privacy or script-blocking extensions can prevent the Roblox page from completing the hand-off to the game client. Disable them temporarily for the Roblox site, reload the page, and test once. If the join succeeds, re-enable extensions one at a time to identify the conflicting one rather than leaving every protection disabled. Restore your normal protection after the test and add only the Roblox site exception that is necessary.

4. Test a different network
Use a phone hotspot or another trusted connection for one test. If possible, connect the computer by Ethernet; a Cat 6 cable is a practical optional cable for this diagnostic. A successful join on the alternate connection points to Wi-Fi congestion, signal loss, router filtering, or the original internet service rather than a World of Stands installation problem. Do not treat a hotspot as a permanent solution if it has a data cap or unstable coverage. If both networks fail in the same way while other players report normal access, return to the experience-specific path.

5. Check firewall and router permissions
Security software can block Roblox even when web browsing works. Allow the Roblox application through the operating system firewall and check that your router is not filtering its traffic. Roblox documents the UDP port range 49152–65535 for its connections. Changing port rules can disrupt other devices or weaken security, so make changes only if you understand the router’s interface or have administrator help. Prefer an application allow-list to opening broad inbound access. Corporate, school, and public networks may impose additional restrictions that you cannot change; use a permitted home or mobile connection for comparison instead of bypassing those controls.
6. Reinstall Roblox
Corrupted temporary or Roblox files can stop the client from opening an experience. Close Roblox and any Roblox installer or updater, uninstall the client using your platform’s normal app-removal process, restart the device, and install a fresh copy from Roblox. Reinstalling while another installer or Roblox process is active can leave the same damaged files in place, so verify that those processes have ended first. Reinstall only after checking status, another experience, and another network; a fresh client cannot fix an outage or a broken place.
Error Code 279 or ID=17
Error Code 279, often displayed as ID=17, means the client could not connect to the experience. Roblox’s current guidance adds force-closing Roblox, rebooting, reinstalling, correcting the device date and time, clearing app data where the platform supports it, and trying another internet source. Follow those steps after the status-page check; an outage or a broken World of Stands place cannot be repaired by clearing local data. A wrong clock can interfere with secure connections, so set the device to obtain date and time automatically where that option is available.
Stop Roblox or World of Stands from crashing
A crash can occur before the game opens, while connecting, or after you enter the map. Note exactly when it happens because the timing distinguishes a launch-file problem from memory pressure or an experience-side fault. Also note whether Roblox returns to the home screen, displays an error code, freezes, or closes without a message; those details make a support report more actionable.

- Restart the computer and launch Roblox without other game installers running.
- Clear the browser’s temporary internet files, then sign in again and start the experience.
- Confirm that the firewall and security software allow Roblox to communicate.
- Try another experience. If every experience crashes, continue with a clean reinstall; if only World of Stands crashes, record the place, time, error text, and device details for the creator.
- Uninstall and reinstall Roblox if the client still crashes while connecting or opening experiences.
Do not repeatedly reinstall while the same firewall rule or unstable connection remains; the new client will fail for the same reason. If the crash happens only after entering a busy area, lower graphics and close other applications before concluding that installation files are damaged.

iPhone and iPad
- Force-close Roblox from the app switcher and open it again.
- Restart the iPhone or iPad.
- Check that the device date and time are set correctly, preferably automatically.
- Reinstall Roblox if the crash continues.
- Clear Roblox cookies using the available Roblox or browser privacy controls, then sign in again.
If support is required, provide the Roblox username, exact error text, device model, iOS version, and reproducible steps. “It crashes” is less useful than “it closes immediately after selecting Play on an iPhone model running a specific iOS version.” Include whether another experience opens and whether the crash occurs on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both.
Android
- Force-stop Roblox from Android’s app settings.
- Restart the device.
- Correct the date and time settings.
- Clear Roblox app data from the app settings, then sign in again. Clearing data removes local session information, so keep your account credentials available.
- Reinstall Roblox if clearing data does not help.
Android hardware that does not meet Roblox’s graphics requirements may crash, lag substantially, or fail to run some experiences even when the app itself installs successfully. Clearing data is different from clearing storage on the whole phone: use Roblox’s app entry and expect to sign in again, but do not delete unrelated personal files as a substitute for this step.
Low Memory Warning (Error Code 292)
On iOS, Error Code 292 indicates memory pressure, not a lack of storage space. Close other background apps, lower Roblox graphics quality, and choose a less intensive experience. If the warning returns, a device with more RAM may be necessary; deleting photos or other files will not address this particular warning. The warning can appear even when the phone has plenty of free storage because working memory and storage capacity are different limits.

“Lag” describes different symptoms. Identify the symptom before changing settings. Network lag affects the timing of actions; graphics lag affects how smoothly images are rendered; system lag appears when other demanding software consumes resources. A graphics change cannot repair packet loss, and a router change cannot make an underpowered device render a complex scene faster.

Lower graphics quality
- Join World of Stands and open the in-experience Roblox menu.
- Select Settings.
- Change Graphics Mode from Automatic to Manual.
- Move the Graphics Quality slider left by several positions.
- Resume play and raise the slider one position at a time only if frame rate remains stable.
Lower graphics quality reduces visual detail while asking less of the device. Roblox describes the trade-off directly: lower graphics levels reduce some image quality while making the device do less work. This addresses rendering load, not a slow connection: it will not stop players from teleporting because of network delay. Test in the same area and during similar activity so the comparison is meaningful.
Close resource-heavy applications
Quit video editors, browser windows with many active tabs, recording or streaming tools, other games, and system utilities that consume substantial CPU, GPU, or memory. Then test the same World of Stands area again. If closing apps and lowering graphics do not improve frame rate, Roblox indicates that a more powerful device may be required. On mobile, also close unused apps from the recent-apps view and avoid testing while the device is overheating or charging under heavy load.

The 4–8 Mb/s figure is Roblox’s stated minimum connection range, not a guarantee of smooth play. Wi-Fi interference, latency, packet loss, shared household traffic, and the complexity of a particular experience can still cause delayed actions. Unsupported Android hardware may lag substantially or be unable to run experiences regardless of measured download speed. Meeting the software version alone also does not guarantee enough memory or graphics performance for every experience.
Choose the fix that matches your symptom
Use this decision path when several problems appear at once:
- Nothing joins: check Roblox Status, then test another experience and another network.
- Only World of Stands fails: collect the exact error and time, check whether friends can join, and report the experience-specific fault to its creator.
- ID=17 or Error 279: force-close, reboot, correct date and time, clear supported app data, test another connection, and reinstall if necessary.
- The app closes or returns to the home screen: use the platform crash sequence, check memory pressure, and reinstall after firewall and process checks.
- Players warp or actions are delayed: treat it as network lag and test a more stable connection.
- The picture stutters: set graphics to Manual, lower the slider, and close demanding apps.
- Performance remains poor on a supported mobile device: verify OpenGL ES 3.0 on Android, the operating-system version, and the 4–8 Mb/s minimum connection; then consider hardware limits.
What to include when reporting a World of Stands problem
If Roblox Status is operational, other experiences work, and the steps above do not change the result, provide the creator with actionable evidence:
- The exact error message or code, including ID=17 or 279 when shown.
- Date and time with your time zone.
- Device model, operating-system version, and whether you use desktop, iOS, Android, or another Roblox platform.
- World of Stands version shown on the listing, such as Version 3.0.1 when applicable.
- Whether another Roblox experience joins normally.
- Whether friends can join the same place.
- The step that fails: selecting Play, connecting to a server, loading the map, or playing after entry.

Is Roblox down, or is World of Stands broken?
