To fix a recent subscriber file that is not showing resubs, open Stream Labels, go to Settings, select Most Recent Subscriber, enable include resubs, and click the save icon. If the file still looks stale, make sure the Stream Labels app is running.
Enable resubs in the Most Recent Subscriber settings
- Open Stream Labels and select Settings.
- Choose Most Recent Subscriber from the dropdown.
- Check include resubs.
- Click the save icon in the upper-right corner.
Streamlabs says the recent subscriber label does not show resubs when it is not configured to include them. Its dedicated support article describing this setting was dated April 25, 2025: How to Show Resubs in Your Most Recent Subscriber Label.
If the file still does not update
Check that the Stream Labels app is running. Streamlabs’ setup guide says its text files update in real time while the app is running. The guide covers adding labels in Streamlabs Desktop and OBS Studio; in OBS, the label is displayed with a text source that reads the selected Stream Labels file. The guide was published June 18, 2021, and lists a last update of January 28, 2026; it does not specify an app version: Stream Labels Setup Guide.
- If you use OBS, confirm the text source points to the correct Most Recent Subscriber file.
- If the setting was not saved, return to the file’s settings, check include resubs, and click the save icon.
