If your Modern Warfare 4 or Warzone skins, weapons, blueprints, or Battle Pass rewards disappeared after changing platforms, the most likely cause is the Activision account currently connected—not the console or game disc. Sign in with the same Activision account that originally earned or purchased the content, then restart the game. Linking your PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, or Nintendo profile to a different Activision account does not transfer progress.
Use the checks below to identify whether the missing item is earned progression, a store entitlement, a COD Points balance, a platform-specific purchase, or a delayed delivery. Recent purchases can take up to 24 hours to appear. If the item is still absent after the account and timing checks, use the matching Activision Support category; use hacked-account recovery if someone changed your account.
First, identify the account that owns the content
Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone progression is attached to an Activision account. Your console profile, Steam account, or Battle.net login is only the platform connection. The same Activision account must be linked on every platform where you expect to see its progression and Battle Pass rewards.

Activision states that progress will not carry over if you link a PlayStation, Xbox, Battle.net, Steam, or Nintendo account to another Activision account. A new link therefore looks like a reset even when you are using the same console, email address, or physical copy of the game.

What carries forward, and what does not
Cross-progression applies to the Activision account, but different types of digital property follow different rules. Determine the entitlement type before trying to fix it.
Earned progression and Battle Pass content
Battle Pass progress and the items unlocked through that progress are tied to the Activision account. When the same Activision account is linked to another supported platform, earned skins, weapons, blueprints, operators, and other unlocked rewards should be available there, subject to any platform-specific restriction stated for an individual item.
Bundles purchased with COD Points
Content purchased with COD Points is generally shared across platforms linked to the same Activision account, unless the item is explicitly platform-specific. That sharing applies to the bundle’s content, not automatically to the COD Points balance used to buy it.
COD Points balances
COD Points bought directly or obtained through Battle Pass tiers remain spendable on the platform account where they were obtained. This is why a balance can appear lower or absent after moving from one platform family to another even though a previously purchased bundle is visible.
Real-money and platform-specific purchases
Some purchases made with real money, and some platform promotions, remain tied to the platform account or store in which they originated. A purchase receipt from one store does not prove that the entitlement is available on every other platform.

Step-by-step fix for missing skins, weapons, or Battle Pass rewards
1. Record the Activision account before changing links
Open the Activision account summary and write down the Activision ID and every linked platform account. Do not unlink anything yet. If you have more than one Activision account, identify which one shows the original progression, Battle Pass level, or purchase history. The account that earned the item is the account you need on the target platform.

Check spelling, capitalization, and the numeric identifier in the Activision ID. Two accounts can use similar display names while holding completely separate progress. A console profile that looks familiar is not evidence that it is connected to the correct Activision account.

2. Sign in on the target platform with that same Activision account
On the platform where the item is missing, sign out of the incorrectly connected Activision account if the game allows it, then sign in with the account identified in step 1. Follow the game’s account-linking prompts carefully. Do not create a new Activision account to get past a sign-in screen; a new account starts with no access to the old account’s progression.
Unlinking and relinking can be subject to account restrictions and cooldowns. Make the change only after you know which Activision account owns the content. Buying another copy of Modern Warfare 4 does not merge accounts or move skins, weapons, or Battle Pass progress.
3. Check the item in the correct menu
Look in the inventory category that matches the entitlement: Operators or appearance menus for skins, the Armory or loadout menus for weapons and blueprints, and the Battle Pass track for Battle Pass rewards. Some items do not appear as a separate tile because they are a weapon blueprint variant, an attachment, a calling card, or a bundle component.
Use the item’s exact name from the original receipt, Battle Pass track, or unlock notification. Searching for a bundle name when the game lists its contents individually can make a valid entitlement look missing.

4. Allow for delayed delivery
For a recent purchase, fully close Modern Warfare 4 or Warzone rather than leaving it suspended. Relaunch the game and check the balance and inventory. Activision says some purchases can take up to 24 hours to appear. If the COD Points balance is still absent after that period, restart the console and check again.

Do not make the same purchase repeatedly while waiting. Duplicate transactions can complicate a support investigation and do not solve an account mismatch.
5. Determine whether the move crossed platform families
Classify the move as either within one console family or between different families. PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S are examples of moves within a family. A move from PlayStation to Xbox, PC, or Nintendo is a cross-family move.
Within a console family, COD Points may be available when the same Activision account is used. Across different platform families, the content of a COD Point purchase can remain shared while the COD Points balance stays on the platform account where it was bought or earned. This difference explains why a bundle can be visible even when the balance used to buy future items is not.

Compare the item with the edition or promotion actually purchased. Activision’s Modern Warfare 4 editions information distinguishes physical PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S editions, Vault Edition content, Battle Pass rewards, and time-limited claims.
The Vault Edition Battle Pass is described as containing over 100 unlockable rewards. A bonus listed for that edition is not automatically included with a standard edition. Keep the store receipt, platform, edition name, and purchase date available when checking eligibility.
Some claims have a deadline. For example, Activision lists December 31, 2026, as the deadline for missing Shattered Relay Weapon Blueprint claims. If a promotion has expired, support may not be able to grant it even when the account is correct.

7. Escalate with the matching support category
If the account, entitlement type, platform, and 24-hour delivery window all check out, open Activision Support and choose the category that matches the problem:
- I’m missing an item I unlocked with the Battle Pass for an earned Battle Pass reward.
- I’m missing an item I purchased in the Store for a store bundle or other purchased content.
- I can’t unlink an account when the account connection itself is preventing access.
- The hacked-account route when your credentials, email, or linked accounts were changed without permission.
Include the Activision ID, the platform and console or PC store, the item’s exact name, the approximate unlock or purchase date, the order or transaction information, and screenshots of the missing entitlement when possible. State whether you moved within one console family or between platform families and whether you restarted after the transaction.
How platform moves affect your inventory
PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5
Use the same Activision account on both consoles. Earned progression and Battle Pass content should follow that account. COD Points may also be available within the PlayStation family, but a store-specific purchase can still have separate eligibility rules.
Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S
The same account principle applies to Xbox family upgrades. Verify the Activision account rather than relying only on the Xbox profile. Check the exact edition and store transaction if a bonus is absent.
PlayStation, Xbox, PC, or Nintendo crossovers
Cross-family moves require special care with COD Points and real-money purchases. Keep the platform that originally received the points or purchase in mind, and expect the balance to differ even when shared bundle content is present. Progression will not follow if the new platform is linked to a different Activision account.
What to do when only COD Points are missing
First identify where the points were purchased or earned. COD Points from a Battle Pass tier are associated with the platform account on which that tier was completed. Points bought through a platform store follow that platform’s account rules. Check the balance on the originating platform before opening a ticket.

If the transaction was recent, wait through Activision’s stated 24-hour delivery window, restart the game, and restart the console if necessary. Keep the transaction ID and receipt. A missing balance is different from a missing bundle: do not report a bundle issue when the actual problem is platform-bound currency.
Hacked or compromised accounts need a different process
If your email, password, Activision ID, or linked platform accounts changed without your approval, use Activision’s Hacked Account Recovery flow. Do not try to solve a compromise by attaching a new platform account or purchasing content on a temporary account.
Activision warns that a temporary recovery account will not retain transferred progress or purchases. Wait for the recovery process and preserve receipts, original account details, and evidence of unauthorized changes. This route is for unauthorized access; use the ordinary missing-item categories for a normal entitlement delay.
Common approaches that do not restore carry-forward content
- Buying another physical copy: a replacement disc supplies game access but does not transfer progress between Activision accounts.
- Linking the console to a new Activision account: this creates a separate progression record rather than merging the old one.
- Assuming every digital item is cross-platform: bundle content, COD Points, and platform-specific purchases follow different rules.
- Repeating a purchase during the delivery window: waiting and checking the original transaction is safer than creating a duplicate order.
- Unlinking first and investigating later: account restrictions can make recovery harder, so record the account identity and ownership evidence before changing links.
- Using hacked-account recovery for an ordinary delay: choose the support category that matches the actual entitlement problem.
A practical decision tree
- If the missing item was earned through progression, compare the current Activision ID with the account that earned it.
- If the IDs differ, stop changing platform links and sign in with the original account.
- If the IDs match, classify the item as Battle Pass content, a COD Point bundle, COD Points, or a platform-specific purchase.
- If it was bought recently, restart the game and allow up to 24 hours before escalating.
- If the move crossed platform families, check the originating platform for the COD Points balance.
- If the item belongs to an edition or promotion, verify the edition and any claim deadline.
- If none of these checks resolves the issue, submit a detailed ticket in the matching Activision Support category; use hacked-account recovery when unauthorized changes are involved.
Modern Warfare 4 timing and edition details to keep in mind
Activision lists October 23, 2026, as Modern Warfare 4’s worldwide launch date. Edition contents and promotional eligibility can vary by platform and purchase date, so use the edition information associated with your transaction rather than assuming every launch bonus is universal.
The over-100-reward figure applies to the Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition Battle Pass description. It does not mean every reward is included with every edition, nor does it change the account-linking requirement.
For a missing Shattered Relay Weapon Blueprint, Activision lists December 31, 2026, as the claim deadline. Submit a claim before that date if your account and edition qualify.
What information to prepare before contacting support
- Activision ID, including the exact spelling and identifier.
- Platform name and console generation or PC store.
- All linked platform accounts and the account that originally earned or purchased the item.
- Exact item, bundle, blueprint, weapon, or Battle Pass reward name.
- Approximate unlock or purchase date and the region or store used.
- Order number, transaction ID, or receipt for a purchase.
- Whether the move was within one console family or between different platform families.
- Confirmation that you fully restarted the game and, when relevant, the console.
- Screenshots showing the missing item, account summary, or transaction status, with payment details redacted.
Bottom line
Missing carry-forward content is usually an account-identity or entitlement-type problem, not a defective game copy. Use the original Activision account, distinguish shared content from platform-bound COD Points, wait through the 24-hour delivery window for recent purchases, verify edition deadlines, and then submit the correct Activision Support ticket. A new disc or a newly linked account cannot merge or recover the old progression.
