Start by checking whether Roblox is down or under maintenance, then identify whether the problem is network lag, graphics lag, system lag, a Roblox crash, or a Jujutsu Shenanigans-specific loading bug. Lower graphics for rendering stutter, close resource-heavy programs for system lag, test a wired connection and access rules for connection failures, and reinstall Roblox only after the simpler checks. If you see the NEP D2 cat with a frozen camera or missing interface, leave and rejoin on a stable connection; a free private server is a reported third-party workaround.
Use this order before changing anything
Troubleshooting is faster when you test the broadest cause first and make only one major change at a time. Repeatedly reinstalling Roblox will not fix an outage, and lowering graphics will not repair a blocked connection. Work through this sequence:
- Check Roblox status. If Roblox is experiencing an incident or maintenance, joining an experience can fail, take much longer, or feel delayed.
- Describe the symptom precisely. Decide whether players warp, the picture is choppy, the whole computer slows, Roblox closes, or the experience never finishes loading.
- Apply the least invasive fix for that symptom. Use the in-game graphics setting for rendering problems, close high-power applications for system pressure, and test wired networking for wireless instability.
- Check access controls. Firewall rules, router configuration, browser security settings, and ad-blocking extensions can interfere with loading or joining.
- Repair the installation. Reboot, clear temporary internet files, review firewall access, and reinstall Roblox when crashes or corrupted files persist.
- Record evidence before escalating. Save the exact message, device and operating-system details, reproduction steps, and any relevant logs or performance captures.
Check whether Roblox is down or under maintenance
Roblox Support recommends checking its platform status when an experience will not join or suddenly becomes unreliable. During an incident, users may be unable to enter an experience, experience unusually long joins, or see lag and delays even when their own connection has not changed. Treat this as a platform-wide condition rather than a local Jujutsu Shenanigans fault.

What to do during an incident
- Check the Roblox status page before reinstalling the client or changing router and firewall settings.
- If an incident is listed, wait for service recovery and test again afterward.
- Note the time and the status message if the problem continues after Roblox reports normal service; that information helps support distinguish an outage from a local failure.
If the status page is clear, continue with the symptom-specific tests below. A clear status does not prove that your network is healthy; it only makes a platform-wide outage less likely.

Tell network lag, graphics lag, and system lag apart
Roblox uses “lag” for several different behaviors. Network lag occurs when the connection to Roblox is slow or unstable. Actions can take unusually long and players may appear to warp. Graphics lag is choppy rendering caused by a device that cannot draw the scene smoothly. System lag occurs when other demanding applications consume the computer’s resources. The visible result can look similar, but each layer needs a different fix.

Run the test that matches the symptom rather than changing every setting at once. If one test changes the behavior, you have identified the layer to investigate.
Fix graphics lag and choppy rendering
Lower the Roblox graphics level
- Join Jujutsu Shenanigans and press Esc.
- Open Settings.
- Find Graphics Quality–Auto and disable the automatic setting.
- Move the graphics-quality level lower, then return to the experience and watch whether frame stutter improves.
Lower levels reduce visual quality, but they also reduce the work your device must do to run Roblox. This is a rendering trade-off, not a network repair: it can smooth a weak device while leaving delayed actions or disconnects unchanged.

Close competing high-power applications
If reducing graphics does not help, close unwanted applications that use substantial processor, memory, or graphics resources. Roblox identifies other high-power applications as a source of system lag. Test again with only the programs you need open. If the rest of the computer is also sluggish, that points to system pressure rather than an isolated game setting.

Do not misread a network problem as graphics lag
A lower graphics level cannot correct a slow or unstable internet connection. If the scene looks smooth but actions arrive late or players warp, keep the graphics setting unchanged and follow the connection checks instead.
Fix connection errors and failed joins
Roblox lists several access and connectivity causes: firewall blocking, slow internet, inconsistent wireless service, browser security settings, ad-blocking extensions, router configuration, and closed UDP ports. Check them in that order of simplicity, starting with the connection path you can test without changing permanent settings.
1. Test wired networking
Connect the computer to the network with an Ethernet cable if that is practical, then launch Roblox and try the same experience. A wired test helps separate an unstable Wi‑Fi link from a Roblox or router problem. If the wired connection works while Wi‑Fi does not, focus on the wireless environment or router configuration rather than reinstalling the client.

A firewall can prevent Roblox from connecting even when other internet applications work. Check that your firewall is not blocking Roblox, and apply the appropriate allow rule for the operating system. If you use managed security software, record the product and rule state so support can see what was tested. Avoid disabling protection permanently; the useful result is confirming whether an access rule is responsible.

3. Check router configuration and UDP access
Router settings can interfere with Roblox traffic. Roblox Support states that its port range depends on the operating system and currently identifies UDP 49152–65535. Use that figure only when reviewing a router or firewall rule with the device or network administrator; do not open unrelated ports or assume that port changes are necessary for every player.
4. Review browser security and extensions
Browser security settings and ad-blocking extensions can block parts of the loading or launch process. Temporarily test with extensions that can affect page loading disabled, and check whether the browser’s security configuration is preventing Roblox from handing the join to the client. Restore normal protection after the test and keep a note of which setting changed the result.
5. Reinstall only after the access checks
If wired networking, firewall and router review, and browser or extension checks do not resolve the failure, reinstall Roblox as a later step. Reinstallation cannot repair a blocked UDP path or a Roblox outage, so performing it first often wastes time.

Stop Roblox crashes and corrupted-file failures
Desktop crashes can happen while connecting to an online experience. Roblox identifies corrupted temporary files, firewall prevention, and corrupted Roblox files as possible causes. Use this sequence so you remove temporary problems before replacing the installation.

1. Reboot the computer
Roblox’s first desktop recommendation is to reboot the computer and try to play again. This clears transient process and resource states and gives the client a clean start.
2. Clear temporary internet files
Remove the computer’s temporary internet files using the operating system’s normal cleanup controls. Temporary data can become corrupted and interfere with launching or joining. Close Roblox before cleaning, then start it again and reproduce the same action.
3. Check firewall access
Confirm that the firewall is not preventing Roblox from starting or connecting. If a security product records a blocked Roblox process, keep the event details for your support report and correct the rule through that product’s normal controls.

When rebooting, clearing temporary files, and checking access do not stop the crash, reinstall Roblox. Close other programs before installing or updating, then launch Jujutsu Shenanigans and test the same sequence that previously crashed. Record whether the failure occurs before the experience opens, during the join, or after you begin playing.

Fix the NEP D2 cat, frozen camera, or missing interface
The NEP D2 cat/no-UI behavior is a game-specific symptom reported after a long server-join delay. It can present as a frozen camera, absent interface, or a screen that never becomes playable. A report updated February 22, 2026 recommends closing the game and joining again with a good connection.
Primary recovery
- Close Jujutsu Shenanigans completely rather than waiting indefinitely on the frozen screen.
- Confirm that your connection is stable; use a wired connection for the retry when possible.
- Launch Roblox again and join the experience.
- If the same symptom returns, record how long the join took and whether the interface was missing immediately or disappeared after loading.
Reported private-server workaround
Players have reported resolving the NEP D2 symptom by creating a free private server and rejoining through it. This is third-party guidance, not an official Roblox fix, and it does not establish that private servers correct the underlying cause. Treat it as a workaround to test after a normal rejoin fails, not as a required purchase or permanent repair.
When the symptom points elsewhere
If the entire Roblox client closes, follow the crash sequence. If actions are delayed across experiences, follow the network checks. A precise report is more actionable than “the game is laggy.” Roblox asks for your username, exact error messages, device model, operating-system version, steps to reproduce, and recent changes. Developer bug-report guidance additionally requests logs and performance captures for lag, crashes, freezes, or disconnects.
- Account identifier: your Roblox username.
- Exact text: copy the full error message, including any code or punctuation.
- Hardware and software: device model and operating-system version.
- Reproduction path: explain how you joined, what you clicked, and the point at which the failure occurred.
- Timing: note whether the issue is constant, intermittent, or tied to a long server-join delay.
