If internet access fails on your Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G, first determine whether the problem is Wi-Fi, cellular data, or one app or website. Restart the phone, then test Wi-Fi and mobile data separately. This helps distinguish a handset setting from a router, carrier, or service problem before you try more disruptive changes.
First, identify which connection is failing
- Check whether the problem affects every app and website or only one. If only one service fails, the connection may be working; check that app or site separately.
- Restart the phone, then switch Wi-Fi off and try opening a webpage using mobile data. Note whether a cellular data indicator appears.
- Turn Wi-Fi back on and test again. If possible, check whether another device can use the same Wi-Fi network.
Google recommends restarting an Android device and switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data as initial checks. Its instructions are for Android generally; menu names can differ on the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G. Google’s Android internet troubleshooting guide
If mobile data or 5G is not working
Check the phone’s cellular connection
- Make sure Airplane mode is off and Mobile data is on. If mobile data is already on, toggle it off and back on.
- Turn Wi-Fi off temporarily so you can tell whether the phone is using cellular data. If no data indicator appears, try again outdoors or in another location with better coverage.
- You can also turn Airplane mode on, wait about 10 seconds, then turn it off and check the connection again.
These are general Android checks, not verified Lava menu instructions. Google notes that mobile-network settings and steps can differ by phone. Android internet troubleshooting and Google’s Pixel mobile-network guide
Ask your carrier to check service and account status
If cellular data still fails, contact your carrier and ask it to check for a local outage or coverage issue, confirm your plan and data allowance, and verify that the SIM is active and provisioned for the service you are trying to use. Ask whether your account and SIM are eligible for the carrier’s 5G service.

A phone’s 5G capability does not guarantee a 5G connection: coverage, carrier compatibility, plan eligibility, and SIM provisioning all matter. 91mobiles lists the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G with Wi-Fi 5, 4G support, and 5G bands N1/N3/N5/N8/N28 and N40/N41/N77/N78. That is secondary specification coverage, not confirmation that a particular carrier or location is compatible. 91mobiles’ Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G specifications
If Wi-Fi is not working
Separate a phone problem from a network problem
- Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled and move closer to the router to see whether the signal improves.
- Connect another device to the same network. If that device also has no internet, the issue may be the router, internet service, or network host rather than the phone.
- If other devices work but the Lava does not, reconnect to the saved network. Google Pixel guidance describes forgetting and re-adding a network, but its exact menu path is Pixel-specific and may differ on this Lava phone.
- On public Wi-Fi, check whether a sign-in or terms page needs to be completed. A Wi-Fi icon alone does not confirm that the network has granted internet access.
For a router you manage, follow its manual to restart it. Google’s general Android guide suggests unplugging the router, waiting 30 seconds, reconnecting it, and allowing its lights to return; do not apply that instruction to equipment you do not control.
