The Red Ribbon is in Cursed Hollow, outside the Village Church—not inside the church and not in Anna’s boss arena. After defeating Anna, the Bride Drowned in Tears, start Till Death by interacting with the wilted wreath at the altar near the Eerie View lantern. Progress through Chapter 6 to the Village Church, take the Claymore, clear the enemies, leave through the rear door, and follow the exterior path to its fork. Choose the right-hand branch, inspect the blue memory at the dead end, then interact with the adjacent grave to collect the Red Ribbon. Return to the altar, place the ribbon in the wreath, rest at a lantern, and come back to interact with the wreath once more. That second visit is what completes the quest.

Where the Red Ribbon is

The item is at a grave on the right-hand branch of the path outside the Village Church in Cursed Hollow. The blue memory at the end of that branch marks the correct area, but examining the memory does not automatically collect the ribbon. You must perform a separate interaction with the grave beside it.

If you are searching the church interior, Anna’s arena, or the altar itself, you are in the wrong place. The church is only the navigation landmark. The ribbon pickup is reached by exiting the church through its back door and following the path around the outside.

Before you begin: unlock and start Till Death

Defeat Anna, the Bride Drowned in Tears

The quest becomes available after the Anna boss encounter in Cursed Hollow. Finish the fight before looking for the quest object. The altar and its wreath are associated with the arena, but the ribbon does not appear there as a loose pickup.

Activate the wilted wreath

After Anna is defeated, locate the altar near the Eerie View lantern. Walk up to the wilted wreath and use the interaction prompt. This starts Till Death. If the wreath has no prompt, confirm that the boss fight is over and that you are examining the wilted wreath at the altar rather than another nearby object.

Understand the two-stage quest state

Till Death has two distinct return points. First, you bring the Red Ribbon to the altar and weave it into the wreath. The wreath then needs a lantern rest before its final interaction becomes available. Returning immediately after placing the ribbon will not finish the quest because the blooming step has not yet been triggered.

Stage Required location Interaction Result
Start Anna’s arena, altar near Eerie View Interact with the wilted wreath Till Death begins
Pickup Grave beside the blue memory outside the Village Church Interact with the grave Red Ribbon enters your quest progress or inventory
Placement The original altar Interact with the wreath Ribbon is woven in; Tomorrow’s Promise Amber is awarded or upgraded
Completion The same altar after a lantern rest Interact with the bloomed wreath again Till Death completes and Revenant’s Return is awarded

Route from the altar to the Red Ribbon

1. Travel through Cursed Hollow to the Village Church

From the quest altar, continue the normal Chapter 6 route through Cursed Hollow. The objective is not in the immediate arena, so do not spend time searching around Anna’s remains or the Eerie View lantern for a chest or glowing item. Keep advancing until you reach the Village Church.

2. Take the Claymore from the body

Inside the Village Church, take the Claymore from the body. This pickup is part of the intended sequence and is a useful signal that you are in the correct building. Once the weapon is taken, enemies appear or become active in the church area.

3. Clear the church enemies

Defeat the enemies before trying to leave. The rear exit may be blocked by the encounter state, and moving around while opponents are active can make the correct doorway easy to miss. Search for the church’s back door after the room is safe; do not use the front approach as your route marker.

4. Leave through the rear door

Go out through the rear door of the Village Church. The Red Ribbon path begins outside. If you exit through the wrong side or return toward the approach route, you will not reach the fork that contains the grave.

5. Follow the exterior path to the fork

Continue along the path outside the church until it divides into two branches. This fork is the key navigation decision in the quest. There is no need to search every side path before making the choice.

6. Choose the right-hand branch

Take the branch on your right. It ends at a dead end, which is intentional. The left-hand branch is the common wrong turn and does not lead to the ribbon pickup. Keep following the right branch even though the route appears to stop.

7. Inspect the blue memory

At the end of the right-hand branch, interact with the blue memory. It is the most visible landmark in this small area and confirms that you have reached the correct dead end. Examining it is part of orienting yourself, but it is not the item pickup.

8. Interact with the nearby grave

After inspecting the memory, turn toward the grave beside it and use the separate interaction prompt. The Red Ribbon is collected from the grave. If you only examined the memory, move a short distance around the grave until its own prompt appears; the item will not be added by the memory interaction alone.

Return the ribbon and complete the quest

Place the ribbon in the wreath

Retrace the route to the altar near the Eerie View lantern. At the altar, interact with the wreath and choose the available action to weave in or place the Red Ribbon. This is the delivery step, not the final completion step.

Receive the placement reward

Placing the ribbon grants Tomorrow’s Promise Amber. If you already obtained that Amber through another route, the reward can upgrade the existing Amber rather than creating a duplicate. The reward is tied to the placement interaction, so check your upgrade or consumable state after the wreath accepts the ribbon.

Rest at a lantern

Use a lantern to rest after placing the ribbon. The rest advances the wreath’s state and allows the final interaction to appear. Simply walking away, changing areas, or waiting near the altar without resting does not substitute for this step.

Return to the wreath a second time

Go back to the same altar after the rest. The wreath should now be bloomed or otherwise show the updated state. Interact with it again. This second interaction closes Till Death; the quest is not complete when the ribbon is first woven in.

Collect the final reward

PowerPyx identifies Revenant’s Return as the final consumable reward for completing the quest. The reward sequence is therefore split: Tomorrow’s Promise Amber is associated with placing the ribbon, while Revenant’s Return is associated with the final post-rest interaction.

When you receive it Reward Important qualification
When the ribbon is placed Tomorrow’s Promise Amber If already obtained elsewhere, it can upgrade the existing Amber
When the bloomed wreath is used after resting Revenant’s Return Granted at final quest completion

What to do if the ribbon or prompt is missing

The wreath cannot be activated

  • Confirm that Anna, the Bride Drowned in Tears, has been defeated in the current progression.
  • Return to the altar near the Eerie View lantern and target the wilted wreath itself.
  • Move around the altar slowly until the interaction prompt appears; nearby scenery can obscure the interaction point.
  • Advance into Chapter 6 if you have not yet reached the Cursed Hollow sequence associated with the Village Church.

You cannot find the grave

  • Use the Village Church as the starting landmark, not the boss arena.
  • Take the Claymore from the body and clear the enemies before leaving.
  • Exit through the rear door.
  • At the outside fork, take the right-hand branch. The correct route is the dead end, not the left branch.
  • Look for the blue memory first, then search immediately beside it for the grave prompt.

The blue memory works but the ribbon is not collected

The memory and grave have separate interactions. Once the memory scene or inspection finishes, face the adjacent grave and activate its prompt. If your character is positioned over the memory marker, step sideways or approach the grave from another angle so the grave interaction takes priority.

Placing the ribbon did not finish the quest

That behavior is expected at the first altar visit. Rest at a lantern, then return to the wreath and interact with it again after it blooms. The quest has a delivery state followed by a completion state, so a successful ribbon placement can still leave the objective open.

The reward looks different from the expected item

Check which stage you have completed. Tomorrow’s Promise Amber belongs to the placement stage and may appear as an upgrade if you already received it elsewhere. Revenant’s Return is tied to the final interaction after resting. Comparing your reward to the wrong stage can make a completed step appear to be missing.

A compact route checklist

  1. Defeat Anna, the Bride Drowned in Tears, in Cursed Hollow.
  2. At the altar near the Eerie View lantern, interact with the wilted wreath to start Till Death.
  3. Progress through Chapter 6 to the Village Church.
  4. Take the Claymore from the body.
  5. Defeat the church enemies.
  6. Leave through the church’s rear door.
  7. Follow the outside path to the fork.
  8. Choose the right-hand branch leading to the dead end.
  9. Inspect the blue memory.
  10. Interact separately with the grave beside the memory to take the Red Ribbon.

  12. Collect or verify Tomorrow’s Promise Amber, including any upgrade if the Amber was previously obtained.
  13. Rest at a lantern.
  14. Return to the altar and interact with the bloomed wreath again.
  15. Verify the final completion reward, Revenant’s Return.

Why the route is easy to overlook

The quest deliberately uses several nearby but non-equivalent landmarks. Anna’s arena contains the starting wreath, the Village Church contains the Claymore and combat encounter, and the exterior dead end contains the actual ribbon. Treating those as one search area leads to the most common confusion. The church is a transition point, while the blue memory is a visual guide to the grave.

The fork also creates an apparent choice without signaling that one branch is a dead end. In this quest, the dead end is the destination. Choosing right, following the path to its termination, and checking both interactable objects there is more reliable than searching for a ribbon model or chest.

Finally, the wreath’s state changes in stages. Starting the quest, inserting the ribbon, resting, and interacting with the bloomed wreath are separate events. Recording which event you have completed makes it easier to diagnose an apparently stalled objective without repeating the entire route.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pick up the Red Ribbon before starting Till Death?

The documented sequence starts by defeating Anna and activating the wilted wreath at the altar. Follow that order so the grave interaction is tied to the active quest.

Is the Red Ribbon inside the Village Church?

No. The church leads to the outdoor route, but the pickup is at the grave beside the blue memory on the right-hand dead-end branch.

What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Which direction should I take at the fork?

Take the right-hand branch. It ends at the blue memory and the adjacent grave; the left branch is not the ribbon route.

Why did I receive Tomorrow’s Promise Amber but still have an unfinished quest?

That Amber is awarded when the ribbon is placed. You must still rest at a lantern and interact with the wreath again after it blooms to finish Till Death and receive Revenant’s Return.

Do I need to interact with both the memory and the grave?

Yes. Inspecting the blue memory identifies the location, while the grave has its own prompt that actually collects the Red Ribbon.
