- Read the facility’s rules and payment details, then look for a separate parking-status page and station alerts.
A system-wide overview can explain how an agency handles parking, but it may not establish the hours, price, or restrictions at a particular lot. For example, LA Metro says availability, pricing, hours, and EV charging vary by location. Its daily parking payment options include an onsite kiosk, the Metro Parking app, and online payment; the app and online process use the lot zone number posted at the facility. Read availability as a report, not a reservation
If the agency publishes a lot-status page, check both the displayed status and when it was last updated. A status is a report for a particular time; it does not reserve a space, and conditions may change before you arrive. Follow any update schedule stated on the page.
MARTA’s status key uses “Green – Lot Open” and “Red – Lot Full.” MARTA says onsite staff monitor availability, real-time information is provided from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and updates are periodic through the day. The agency also says the status page is updated Monday through Friday and displays an update timestamp. A usable parking lot does not guarantee that every route into or through the station is available. Review official station alerts for elevator or escalator outages, planned service changes, construction, entrance closures, and other access issues.
