As of October 4, 2026, GTA VI has not been released, so players cannot yet verify its discoverable secrets or hidden locations in a playable game. For now, the reliable way to look for hidden details is to study Rockstar’s official trailers and Extended Look, label what is visibly on screen separately from fan interpretations, and wait for gameplay confirmation before calling anything a confirmed easter egg.
What you can verify before GTA VI launches
Rockstar’s official GTA VI site hosts Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and an Extended Look, and places Jason and Lucia’s story in the state of Leonida. Rockstar’s synopsis describes an easy score going wrong and a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida, with the pair forced to rely on each other.
GamesRadar reports that GTA VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. Until the game is playable, there is no reliable way to enumerate its final hidden locations, secrets or easter eggs. Treat any pre-release list as a list of candidate details in promotional footage—not a walkthrough of confirmed game content.
The site lists PlayStation 5 under “Plays Best On.” That is what Rockstar’s site currently presents; it does not establish the full launch-platform picture.

How to inspect the trailers and Extended Look
- Start with Rockstar’s source footage. Open the official GTA VI site and use its published videos as the reference, rather than relying only on cropped screenshots or reposts.
- Log the exact moment. For each candidate, note the video title and timestamp. Describe only what the frame shows: for example, a sign, object, background character or recurring visual motif.
- Separate the observation from the theory. “An alligator enters a store” describes visible footage. “This unlocks a mission” claims a game mechanic and needs separate evidence from the released game.
- Check other official frames. Compare the detail against other shots or official images before identifying a reference. A resemblance alone is not proof.
- Date the claim and update it. Pre-release footage and information can change. Once the game is available, check the detail in a dated playable build and record the platform and version where it was found.
What the released footage does—and does not—show
Rockstar’s August 2026 Extended Look offers additional material to examine. TechRadar describes the presentation as 26 minutes long; that is the length of the presentation, not a count of secrets or a measure of the game’s size.
PC Gamer’s analysis of the presentation notes visible examples including character switching, disguises, tactical shooting, basketball, scuba diving, kayaking and weight lifting. These are observations of what the footage shows, not a complete feature list or proof that every system will work exactly as viewers infer. PC Gamer also notes that the presentation did not show an official map still.

A third-party frame-by-frame breakdown points to candidate details such as the name Leonida, an alligator entering a store and a non-alcoholic Pisswasser variant. These are observations and interpretations of promotional footage, not an official Rockstar list of easter eggs. The same breakdown retracts a claimed Vice City Mambas shirt identification that it could not confirm—a useful reminder to remove weak identifications rather than repeat them as fact.
How to judge a claimed GTA 6 easter egg
| Evidence type | What it supports | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Official trailer or presentation footage | A detail is visible in the published footage. | That it appears in the final game, is interactable, or has a gameplay effect. |
| Independent breakdown or fan interpretation | A possible identification or explanation worth checking. | That the interpretation is official or confirmed. |
| Reproducible finding in the released game | A directly observed detail in a specific playable build, if the finder documents the steps and version. | That the finding applies to every platform or later build unless those are checked too. |
Use the narrowest accurate wording. Call something a “visible detail” when all you have is footage; call it a “possible reference” when the interpretation remains uncertain; reserve “confirmed easter egg” for a reproducible in-game finding or a clear official confirmation. If a claim is corrected or withdrawn, do not keep repeating the original identification.

What to revisit after release
When GTA VI becomes playable, revisit trailer-based candidates in the game rather than assuming the footage is a complete map or catalogue of secrets. For each confirmed discovery, record the platform, game version, location, steps to reproduce it, and whether it is merely visual or changes gameplay. A reliable post-launch guide should make those details clear and distinguish its direct findings from interpretations.
