You can move a playlist by importing a copy into the destination service, using its built-in transfer feature or a third-party tool such as TuneMyMusic or Soundiiz. “Export” usually means transferring playlist entries and matching them to the destination’s catalog—not copying audio files. The original playlist stays where it is, and changes generally do not sync automatically.

When importing into YouTube Music, start with its built-in transfer tool. For other service combinations, Google lists third-party options including TuneMyMusic and Soundiiz, but the available route depends on current service support and permissions. Google says third-party services are not guaranteed by Google and it cannot assist with disputes between a user and a provider. Google’s YouTube Music transfer instructions
Import a playlist into YouTube Music
- Open YouTube Music and tap your profile icon.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & data > Transfer playlists from other apps, then tap Let’s start.
- Sign in to the source music service and grant the access requested for the transfer.
- Choose the playlists you want to copy and start the transfer.
- When prompted, sign in to the Google Account that should receive the playlists and authorize the destination.
- When the transfer finishes, open your YouTube Music library and review any missing-track notification or transfer report.
Google says larger libraries can take longer and a transfer may continue in the background, so the app or page does not need to remain open. The import copies playlist information; it does not remove the source playlist. Google also states that podcasts cannot be imported to or exported from YouTube Music.
Transfer between other music services
Using TuneMyMusic
- Open TuneMyMusic and choose the source service, playlist URL, text, or file option that matches your starting point.
- Connect to the source account if requested, then choose the playlist or content to transfer.
- Select the destination service and authorize access to the account that should receive the playlist.
- Start the transfer, then inspect the results and any missing-track report. Search for omitted songs manually if the exact release matters.
TuneMyMusic describes support for a stated set of major services and says it flags missing tracks. Its free plan is stated to cover up to 500 tracks and TXT/CSV export; plan limits can change, so check its current FAQ before relying on them.

Using Soundiiz
- Sign in to Soundiiz and connect both the source and destination accounts.
- Select the playlist and choose the transfer action for the destination service.
- Review the matched and skipped tracks, then confirm the destination playlist creation.
- Open the new playlist in the destination service and check any tracks whose version or metadata is important.
You need access to both accounts, enough space in the destination, and any subscription the source service requires for library access. Soundiiz says some platforms require their own paid subscription for transfer access. Its Free plan’s stated limits are one eligible playlist at a time and up to 200 selected tracks per playlist; check its current support page for terms.
What transfers—and what may not
These tools recreate a playlist by finding equivalent entries in the destination catalog. They do not move or download the audio files. A transfer can be complete, partial, or unsuccessful because the destination may not carry a track, a track may be restricted in your region, metadata may differ, or the destination may list another release or remaster. If the exact recording matters, check the album, artist, and version after transfer rather than relying only on a matching title.

Review skipped and unmatched results instead of assuming the destination playlist is identical. TuneMyMusic says it flags missing tracks and provides a report; Soundiiz exposes skipped items for review.
Fix common transfer problems
