GTA 6 is not out yet, so no verified guide can promise a complete no-miss route or identify every hidden activity. Rockstar lists a November 19, 2026 release date for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until the game is available and its activity-tracking tools are confirmed, the best approach is to explore Leonida systematically: cover each named region, vary the environments you visit, and keep your own notes rather than assuming every optional activity will appear on the map. What is known about GTA 6’s open world
Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a story set in Vice City and the wider state of Leonida, where Jason and Lucia become caught up in a conspiracy spanning the state. Its official game page and Only in Leonida page present destinations beyond the city as part of the setting.
An October 2026 report by TechRadar, covering Game Informer’s feature, names six primary regions:
- Vice City
- The Leonida Keys
- Grassrivers
- Port Gellhorn
- Ambrosia
- Mount Kalaga National Park
The report describes the world as Rockstar’s largest and approximately twice the size of GTA V’s world, with greater density. That comparison is reported coverage, not a published measurement of map area. Exact regional borders, travel times, and a recommended route have not been established.

Which activities have been reported
A September 2026 GamesRadar report on a Game Informer interview lists these examples:
- Kayaking and zoo visits
- Street racing and off-road racing
- Wrestling
- Pool and mini-golf
- Gyms
This is a selection, not a complete activity list. Public reporting has not established where each activity is, how to unlock it, whether it is tied to Jason or Lucia, or whether it can be missed.

How to explore without overlooking things
Use a region-by-region notebook as a practical planning method, not as a confirmed in-game feature or a guaranteed completion route. Rockstar has not confirmed the final map interface, activity filters, or completion tracking.
- Make a regional checklist. Start with the six regions named in October 2026 reporting. Leave room to add destinations that become clear in the released game; do not treat these names as a confirmed list of every map area.
- Vary the kinds of places you visit. Search urban streets and interiors, rural routes, wetlands, inland water, and coastal areas. Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut, quoted by TechRadar, described attention to rooftops, alleys, interiors, and the spaces between them. The report points to environmental detail, not to confirmed activity locations.
- Try different activity types as you encounter them. Use the reported examples—such as racing, kayaking, pool, or mini-golf—as prompts to investigate, not proof that a particular region contains them.
- Record discoveries and unresolved leads. Note the region, visible activity or landmark, and what you have actually verified in play. Mark uncertain sightings separately so speculation does not become a false checklist entry.
- Revisit places when the game gives you a reason. Weather is reported to be localized and persistent, with conditions including showers and lightning storms. That does not establish that weather, time, or story progress unlocks activities; record any such connection only if the released game demonstrates it.
Why wildlife and weather are worth noticing—but not assuming
TechRadar reported 170 animal species, including more than 60 bird types and more than 30 land mammals, with fish and reptiles also represented. It also quoted Rockstar VP of dynamic art Michael Kane describing urban, rural, aquatic, and wetland habitats. Those details make wildlife and varied environments useful things to observe while exploring; they do not confirm a collectible system or wildlife-related side missions.

The same October 2026 coverage quoted Rockstar VP of art for lighting and rendering Owen Shepherd saying the weather system had been re-engineered to be more localized and persistent. TechRadar described showers, lightning storms, puddles, and rainbows. No reported evidence establishes that weather changes whether an activity is available.

- The full set of activities and collectibles, with verified locations
- Whether each item is freely accessible, story-gated, repeatable, or available only once
- Any character-specific, equipment, time-of-day, or weather requirements
- Whether the map offers filters, activity markers, or collection tracking
- Whether any content can become permanently missable
Rockstar currently lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and November 19, 2026 on its official page. Check that page for current platform and launch information. Until the game and its mechanics can be verified, avoid relying on rumored maps or claims of a guaranteed 100% route.
