To equip or switch boats in Fisch, visit a Shipwright, open the boat list, then select Spawn beside a boat you own. You must be at least Level 5 to talk to a Shipwright. To use a boat you do not own, select Purchase after meeting its level and currency requirements.
How to switch to a boat you own
- Travel to a Shipwright on a main island. Listed locations include Moosewood, Mushgrove, Snowcap Island, Sunstone Island, Terrapin Island, Roslit Bay, Statue of Sovereignty, Ancient Isle, Northern Summit, and Grand Reef. The available locations may change.
- Interact with the Shipwright and open the boat list. The NPC is the documented route for viewing and spawning boats.
- Find the boat you want and select Spawn beside it.
The community-maintained Boats page describes this Shipwright-and-Spawn method, but warns that some information on the page is outdated. Follow the current in-game menu if its options differ. The reference does not establish a universal interaction key for every platform.
How to get a different boat
If you do not own the boat, select Purchase in the boat list only after meeting that boat’s level and money requirements. Requirements vary by boat, so check the listing rather than assuming Level 5 is enough to buy it.

Can you switch boats from a menu or quick-access wheel?
A commenter in a Reddit discussion reports that players can open a boat menu while in valid water or bind and spawn a vessel through the quick-access wheel, with a 15-second cooldown. This is a community report, not a guaranteed control for every version or platform; use the Shipwright route if those options are unavailable.

- Steering: how quickly it turns.
- Acceleration: how quickly it reaches top speed.
Seat count may also matter if you are traveling with others. Because the reference’s boat tables are flagged as potentially outdated, check current in-game details instead of relying on old prices, availability, or rankings. The available documentation also does not establish whether spawning another boat automatically removes an already active one.
